Just placed my order for the calendar, even though I didn't enter my XK8. Purchasing one has become a pleasant annual tradition and a very agreeable way of supporting your excellent channel. Thanks for organising the whole process and offering them for sale once again.
Hi again, John. My calendar arrived earlier this week. Veey impressed! Thanks again for your hard work & dedication to this traditional, annual event. You have my sympathy regarding your ongoing health issues. Hope they get resolved soon. Look after - and be kind to - yourself.
Hi John, once again a great calendar. All Jaguar lovers should buy this beautiful calendar It always hangs in my garage. Thank you for your work. I send you my warmest regards and hope that your health improves soon. Udo 😊
Great video John and a fantastic calendar 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Don't be fooled by your ABS unit. I managed to get away without repairing mine for about a year until the light was permanently on. I had to take two attempts at fixing it - I will email you the details 😉
Just ordered my calendar and will give it pride of place in my Sydney home. Like your comments in this video about the ABS issues. My 2002 Covertible seems to cycle this error message almost daily. So now you have given me some new ideas I will see what can be done. Yes mate getting old sucks. Just tore my hamstring on Monday going for a surf. Got hit by a relatively small wave in the shorebreak and ZAPPO. Keep smiling!!
Ouch Hammys hurt ! I will be giving the repair a go at some stage, and following Huw Williams advice will also be investigating and resoldering the four pairs of lines out to the wheel sensors.
Just ordered the calendar, can’t wait. My abs has been playing up for a year or so on and off, so removed the module, you can sneak it out by easing the brake pipes, made hole with a hole saw opposite the 2 pin connector, re soldered the board, hot glue gun the piece back on. All together and it’s great ! only took about 1 1/2 max. Saved a few hundred pounds, if you plug in code reader first it will say something like abs pump failure. Make a good video for your channel. Well worth a go John Keep well mate
I will defo do it Joe. @joerenton8499 Particularly now that I know you went first and tested the water😁👍 Did you manage to do it without disconnecting the brake pipes at all🤔. Which is what I was hoping to achieve🤞
John I have used the “Renovo” brand soft top cleaner, reviver and ultra proofer following the directions to the letter with proper drying times between coats and steps for each product. I have dark blue so maybe slight difference to your green color. Had the Renovo shipped across the pond because it is not available locally in USA. Best to you and look forward to getting next year’s calendar!
Hi John. Thank you for putting together the great calendar again. Just purchased it. Intermittent faults are great! 😢 Do you get matching error codes logged on OBDC reader? Ta Ian
Thanks Kees. I will add that one to my list of products to research. Im not familiar with it, so will be intrigued to learn more👍. I can test the rain for everyone 🤣. UV not so much
Try Griots Top Cleaner I have used it on my Tan top with great success. as for all you aches and pains, welcome to old age, but on the bright side this is as good as it gets. Who said that ?
Hi @jagvette1 Griots is not a brand I'm familiar with Gary🤔. I will check it out. Thanks for the sunny perspective on my maladies🤣. I left a comment/question for you on your recent Jeep patriot video. Look forward to your thoughts👍
I’ve seen several recommendations for Fabsil Gold waterproofer after recolouring with Renovo. Did the Renovo but not got around to doing the proofing yet
Thanks @hunty28 Ive used Renovo recolourer on older very faded black canvas hoods previously and got very decent results. How has it worked out on the Jag? and what colour is /should be😁 your roof?
I need to speak to an expert jag mechanic. I have a 2004 KXR COPUE with low mileage in almost perfect condition. Living in Florida, USA the heat in my garage has cracked the J-shift plastic gate. I was able to find one in Canada but it only has # 2,3,4 gear selection. The original had 2,3,4 & 5. The new one does not recognize any of the number gears so it only works in the normal drive position. Any chance to fix this issue so I can use the numbers to control speed & deceleration when driving!

That's very kind of you, Stephen. Be sure to send in a picture next year and join in the fun👍

Hi @markmassey5013 Im familiar with Renovo's recolouring kits but had not thought about looking at their re proofing materials. Thanks very much.👍

I use 303 fabric guard. Have applied it twice in 10 years. Fully satisfied, but mind, the roof hardly ever sees uv nor rain....

@@ToTheGarage it definitely improved the (black) roof tho like many x100 roofs there is some shading where it folds.
