That and the areas were often designed to force you not to use vehicles in the area's you would actually want too. Can't tell you how many times I would drive a tank or a warthog up a hill for a fob to see they put "tactical trees" in just the right spots and spacing to make it impossible to actually drive them in.
I will say, it would be cool as fuck if they add a dlc where the covenant get invold and you have 3 way fights, tho im not sure how that would fit in with the story
It’s pretty ironic how 343 nerfed vehicles more and more with each title they pumped out starting with 4, that the banished vehicles are covenant in the lore but up armored by like x3. But in game are like half the vehicles that they used to be
I would honestly love to see the Locust make an appearance in a FPS drivable format. Yes I know the Scarab can be modded to be drivable but that huge lumbering hulk just seems to be too much. The Locust being a smaller walker seems like it would handle better while still being heavily armoured and even keep the world burning fun of a heavy duty laser.

The Covenant vehicles were always so amazing and I loved all of them. The Banshee and Spectre were always my favorite of them all, and the Spectre needs to return above all other Halo vehicles.

A Funny Coincidence, but the Halo CE Banshee Audio was completely different all the way up until the last 4 months of development. The Banshee (which was called the Banshee as early as 1999) throughout most of it's development period sounded way quieter and sounded a lot more like a whisper. You can see that in Halo CE build 1749 in The Vengeful 'Vadam's video on it.

The covenant vehicle roster has always been so scarce that anything is better than nothing, there's no mid-tier covie land vehicles in 90% of Halo titles, Reach was the only exception with the Revenant, and while 2/3 have the spectre and prowler, both of them are criminally underutilized. The fact is, just because things are similar does not mean they cannot co-exist, map placements exist for a reason.
Just speculation as idk %100. But I'm fairly certain only the H2A multi-player runs on Halo 4 engine. The single player I believe still runs on the original engine. For one it feels exactly like old H2 whereas the multi-player feels a little more weighty. Also you can switch to original graphics on ths fly which is not possible in the multi-player. Also when playing campaign the pause screen says Halo 2 classic not Halo 2 anniversary. So while yes they did make a new model for the spectre it is unlikely it was implemented into Halo 4's engine
personally i think that covenant mobile fortress was so fucking cool and i would LOVE to see that in game at some point just a giant floating fortress dropping off wraiths and troops while hovering over the battlefield.
You Forgot to Mention the Halo 3/ODST/Reach Scarab at its own variant, which operates on its own with its Lekgolo Colony, unlike the H2 Scarab that needed Elites/Brutes to be Piloted. Almost all Halo 4 Vehicles are just Ported Over assets from Reach where their Physical Behavior and Graphic Engine-related Design have been Changed - that's why there is still a Space Banshee and Scarab left. The Cut Revenant is Probably new, since Reach hasnt a Boost Vehicle with Plasma Turret, so it might be a new designed Vehicle from a Ghost - just my Theory. the Halo 2 Anniversary is LITERALLY Halo 4, just Altered on Vehicles and Weapons Aswell like they did with Reach to 4 (so H2A vehicles are just Halo Reach vehicles lol) one of the most outstanding changes was the Removal of the Turrets from the Wraith and Scorpion, but for the Scorpion they added a Secondary Chain gun Wepon to the Main Cannon. I also agree why the Spectre wasn't included, I just was about to write that Halo 2 Campaigns engine and the H4 Ported over H2A engine are to different to reimplement the Spectre, HOWEVER: the Halo 4 Cut revenant would have been a Great idea to Port it over to H2A MP, Redesign the Vehicle and add 2 Seats left and right to make it Possible. It isn't impossible to Port it over with Mod tools, since few modders already succeeded to Port over the Halo 4 Transport Pelican* to H2A MP (Black Dark Red Color without Top Cannon and Side Turrets) You also Forgot the Other Phantom Models: Halo 3 Friendly Phantom (I know its the Same as the Regular one but hey, the Green color makes this Vehicle unique already) The ODST Phantom with Searchlight - if I'm not Wrong, Halo 3 ODST have 3 Different Covenant Phantoms, one for Day, one for night with Searchlight on the Front cannon and one like mentioned in your Video, having those Explosive Tanks underneath. For Reach we have the Phantom Gunboat, which is Larger than the regular Phantom, can travel into Hyperspace and Just looks so much Cooler than the Regular ones. In Halo 4 there is also a special Phantom that seems like no one ever mentions about, which I kinda dislike: Boarding/Hijack Phantoms. They have Tubes on each side and Breach them into Hostile Ship hulls, which you can see when you clear the First of two waves in the Command Bridge of the "Forward unto Dawn" first mission of Halo 4. The Halo 5 Vehicles Variants have special Meaning for what they can do: SOS: the same as the Covenant Version. - Ultra: Explosive Plasma Bullets, Banshee Torpedo/Wraith Mortars have Continues Explosion effects for few Seconds. - Temple: You can Boost AND Shoot at the Same time. I think the Last thing you forgot to list are the Covenant Ships and High Charity. 8:50 the original glitch to drive the seraph in reach on LNoS is no longer possible as they no longer spawn above the facility and neither do the anti air cannons work or dropships spawn properly as of update.

I've always wondered if you can keep all marines at the start + reinforcement marines alive on truth and reconciliation and have them join you in the first room where you defend against waves of covenant, i have just been looking and digging and have not found any video from any creators who have touched this topic, if you ever do make this or include this in a video that would be great i would love to find out :)

@@Void_Wars And did that stop Bungie from adding them in Halo 2? Alongside that the weapons used on the Banished versions are very different and generally play different which if they would stop being afraid of vehicles could actually do something with that.
Hopefully they’ll bring in the spectre with some kind of elite update with an arbiter campaign that also brings elites to multiplayer and classic covenant weapons like the carbine, plasma rifle, fuel rod gun, beam rifle, etc. but we probably won’t since 343 hates elites more and more these days :(

honestly i loved a lot of halo 5 new look especially the covenant vehicles. i liked how they almost look like a living creature and the marking around the vehicle was also a nice choice. i hate infinites "return" to the classic style doesn't even look as good as the original games, just looks like they gave them a crappy red paint job and called it a day.
Rather late here, but I was very disappointed when some of the banished units from halo wars 2 aren't in Infinite. I wanna fight that Banished Scarab (or possibly even drive)

Locusts are anti building and suck against anything else, so they’d be terrible in game

You know if you just hijacked a wraith and smashed the opening shoot the driver and pilot it, this works with every wraith from halo 2 to infinite

That’s cause the spectre is a warthog clone and the shadow is just a bigger warthog clone.

@@Void_Wars And did that stop Bungie from adding them in Halo 2? Alongside that the weapons used on the Banished versions are very different and generally play different which if they would stop being afraid of vehicles could actually do something with that.
Hopefully they’ll bring in the spectre with some kind of elite update with an arbiter campaign that also brings elites to multiplayer and classic covenant weapons like the carbine, plasma rifle, fuel rod gun, beam rifle, etc. but we probably won’t since 343 hates elites more and more these days :(

i want an option to turn the banished vehicles back to covenant vehicles, i like purple more than red. also the halo 3 brute chopper looks a lot more intimidating than the halo infinite one

the Halo wars 2 part reminded me that the banished was hyped so much because they have tech we havent seen that rivalled the covenant.

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed a lot of the HW2 stuff didn't make it into Infinite. I was really looking forward to "new" vehicles in FPS.

Infinite what the heck, spiritual reboot my foot, why couldnt we get a cool re introduction to things returning, imagine walking out of the tower and you see a group of marines driving up towards with a warthog and saying hop in and blam a chopper rips right through the hog and the Weapon asks what was that and Chief says some old toys or something one liner ery, and a Wraith hammering you while trying to get out of a cave or when you get to first spire and starts blasting you, or rather how about ways to introduce new people to Halo, especially with an open worldish campaign, to have new people hopping on for first time to se what us maniacs are going on about to have it be like a mini boss fight in a way to give the world a organic feel, imagine if like Red dead 2 where youre wondering about and a scripted event starts with like i mentioned earlier with the choppers or if we got lucky to have animals like the e3 2018 trailer have the rhino having a throwdown with a over sized Chieftain or a pack of Hunters, get even wilder have a rhino taking over by the flood or a colony of Hunter worms how cool would that of been, thats Halo Infinite in a nutshell, what could of been with proper management and all the chickens with their heads on

honestly i loved a lot of halo 5 new look especially the covenant vehicles. i liked how they almost look like a living creature and the marking around the vehicle was also a nice choice. i hate infinites "return" to the classic style doesn't even look as good as the original games, just looks like they gave them a crappy red paint job and called it a day.
