Good afternoon Ms Taylor, thank you so much for making this so much easier and understanding. OMG! It’s much understandable. Again thank you so much for sharing and teaching me.
I really wish I had found you when I first started doing graphgans. I love your practical and creative approach. Its too late for me, I've already settled into a rhythm of my own that's also practical, but I struggled in the beginning. What a headache I had! I am better for it though through trial and error.
Love the idea of bobbins and the way you make them. I'm also going to use that idea for the small balls of yarn that I'm going to use someday for something. Ill put a slit in the top of the bobbin and that way I can secure the yarn from unraveling oh my goodness now I got to go find cardboard. LOL I found your channel by mistake. I've been crocheting for years and years I have never seen graph patterns. Started do amigurmi dolls a couple of years ago but ready to do afghans again. You seem like a really fun person to hang around with. Thank you I will be subscribing.
Aaawwwhhh...thanks for the nice comment. I "am" a fun person...I love to enjoy life! Thanks so much for "finding me by mistake", I'm glad you did. I hope you enjoy my channel. Thanks for watching!
I wished that I had found your Tutorial before I started mine. I'm working with a lot of black yarn, and even when I count my stitches, I still find myself at the end of a row off a stitch or two. I have so many ends that I'm a bit overwhelmed at times.
These are amazing as I am about to start a big project. But I have a question, how do you know how much yarn to put on each bobbin? Don't you run the risk of wasting or running out? Is there a simple rule of thumb I don't know about?
Hi Laura. You would use the same concept, except your picture will be a photograph. It's ironic that I as me this question, because I was just thinking of making a graphghan pillow with a photograph. If I keep my nerves up, I will post the video. Instead of using the picture of the pandas, as I did, you would simply insert your photo. Hope this helps! Happy Crocheting!
It started out as being a pillowcase, but I turned it into framed art and hung it in my craft room. I don't still have the pattern, but I'll tell you what I did. The image comes from a children's video on jw.org. I took a screen shot of the image and used it as a pattern. Here's how you can find the video. Go to jw.org. In the search box, type in Miracle of Life, scroll down to the videos and you will immediately see the image on the video. Click the video, press play and the image is the first image of the video. I next paused the video and took a screen shot. I cropped out any outer edges, and then I followed the direction in my video how how to create a graphghan graft. I hope this helps. Let me know your results. Happy Crocheting!
It's been a while since I made that pattern and I can't seem to find it. I'm recreating the pattern as we speak and I will post a video with the instructions along with a link where the actual graph and written instructions can be downloaded. Thanks for your request and your patience. That video is coming very soon...keep watching! Happy Crocheting!

Yes it is. if you don't, they will get all tangled up and it will drive you crazy! The bobbins make for a smooth yarn transition. Thanks for your question.

Oops nevermind! I just watched the 3rd! Thank you so much! This is the easiest direction I've ever had for a graphgan!
You can add as much yarn as you like to the bobbin because you can always join the next bobbin simply. Thanks for asking.
