  • What's up dudes! For this video we go for a quick little drive in my buddy Vinny's Dodge Ram equipped with a Cummins Diesel Motor. This is the first time I've ever driven Diesel, and it was very interesting to see the differences between this and a normal combustion motor. Thanks for watching and stay awesome! Hey bro, "rolling coal" is needed to save gas in a diesel truck. there's other things it helps but people use it to there power against people. my dads Cummins and my uncles both "rolling coal."

      +ThatDudeinBlue Do you think you'll be able to drive a Fiero any time soon? It's an odd car to mention, but I'd love to hear a more honest opinion on them than the typical "Fieros are bland" argument. (Mainly because I've always wanted one..)

      +iowaboy247 It has a G56 6-speed made by getrag. Dodge/RAM is last of the big 3 that still offer a diesel 6-speed in the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. Only reason I'd get a dodge lol.

    My first job was at my families diesel shop. I had the opportunity to drive a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 TD. It was an automatic, but was running a compound turbo set up 5.9 making roughly 800hp and 1600tq. A few years later and that's still the most awesome thing I've ever driven!

    i live in Alberta so these are everywhere and i also own 1, but the one thing i see in the comments are haters and people who just hate it cuz 1. they cant afford one 2.there friends say it sucks so it must suck 3.they don't understand why we drive them.
    Here's something new, how about this, He built the the truck they way he wanted it to look. He pays for the damn thing not you. How about we respect what others drive and they respect you. But i will agree smoking out another car is a dick move.

    • @nickL7389
      @nickL7389 8 років тому +4

      probably haters because 1. trucks drive like shit 2. car enthusiasts like taking turns at speed 3. we have nothing to haul or tow that doesn't fit in our cars 4. We drive on paved roads 5. they're not economical 6. trucks drive like shit and 7. trucks drive like shit

    • @unitedgray
      @unitedgray 8 років тому +12

      +nickL7389 1. It's nice to be able to just hit potholes, dirt roads, curbs, etc and not care. 2. It's also nice to see over top of all the normal cars on the road. 3. Steel bumpers are better than plastic. I was rear ended in my truck about 2 months ago and there was zero damage to my truck, but the car was not so lucky. My trailer hitch broke his grill in half and left nice gouges in his hood. 4. 4WD > 2WD. 5. For those of us who actually need a truck, there's no replacement.

  • @Revitalyzed

    It's about time you reviewed a turbo diesel truck! They're absolutely joys to drive. Two of my old friends in high school owned second gen. Cummins and the first time I drove them, they were _very_ different. Don't remember exactly what part was different, they only had one different part in each other's trucks and it change the entire driving experience.
    Sure, those tree hugging weirdos may hate it when rolling coal, but when you start getting into trucks, you _want_ it to! And with a, what appears to be 7" exhaust, I know Vinny loves to roll coal as well!

      +biohzrd1x1 Exactly. CDL driver right here and car enthusiast wanting others to see the world of trucking in the eyes of "thatdudeinblue". What we deal with everyday is something the public never sees or can and why many that have joined the industry refer to it as a "lifestyle" not a "job". You bought, a truck brought it. These guys with their toy trucks thinking they are all that and a bag of chips because they can roll coal and when they have a oversize tow hook yet they can't even back a trailer.

  • @GTOAviator
    @GTOAviator 8 років тому +2

    Let's clarify a few things:
    -This was a pre "face-lift" RAM, the new RAMs come with immaculate interiors (leather and real wood in many).
    -The RAM 2500/3500's now offer a Mega cab option, which is the largest cab available in the domestic truck market.
    -The new RAM's all come with exhaust brakes, although they are not as loud as the aftermarket brake in this video.
    -The manual transmission option is the G56, a bullet-proof tranny, although I don't recommend it for city driving.
    - If you purchase a 3500, you unlock the Aisin transmission option (the only medium industrial strength transmission offered in the domestic truck segment, other than the Allison).
    - Higher trim levels come with heated/air conditioned seats, folding mirrors, front/rear proximity sensors, auto-rain sensing wipers, auto-dimming headlights, backup camera, sunroof, etc.
    In summation, these trucks are now luxury vehicles... with 800 ft-lbs of torque. I just took delivery of a 2016 RAM 2500 Laramie Longhorn factory order custom. It is one of the nicest interiors I've ever seen in a vehicle. I am so happy I didn't buy an SUV for my "big car".

I drive a 2ltr A4 TDi...I never get tired of that things mid to low end torque...just love how one can sit at 70 all day and still easily pull away no problem at all. At some point I want to upgrade to an A6 avant with a big diesel in it. Not to mention it's comfy as f*ck

    • @tylerboyer7824

      i would have to disagree. Duramax = speed Cummins = torque Powerstroke = Something in the middle. My Powerstroke is at about 430,000 miles. Trans has been rebuilt once and the motor has had the regular cooling upgrades as well as bigger turbo and injectors with a 5 inch turbo back. I have yet to have any issues. i suspect to be rebuilding it soon as at 430,000 any motor is due
