Your video is excellent and a great overview! I love this town so much- it has a very safe feel and I go on a walk in the evening and my kids can skate, walk and ride their bikes freely. While I am not a fan of Oregon school policies, I love some of the individual staff members. Cheryl, the elementary school secretary is the best and makes you feel welcome and doesn’t let your children get away with any shenanigans. The elementary school Principal, Casey Olmstead is approachable and even made pickles with my daughter as a reward to keep her choosing to exhibit good behavior. Mrs. Smith is out of this world incredible and Mrs. Borja both of my girls loved. And the vast majority of staff are fantastic. At the Jr. High, Mrs. Gibson and Mr. Rose pour so much energy and time into the drama team, truly amazing to see. Tonight I attended my first Chieftains football game and WOW! What a great community turn out and some fantastic kids in this town. This town is truly a wonderful place, I am so grateful to live here!

Hello, Julie I to am considering moving to southern Oregon with my 2 boys . I love all the videos of this place. I am a single mother with them and work as a nurse ..I want to take a drive up in a few weeks to explore, but I just asked Brian which area is best for us to live in like a good proximity to schools/medical facilities for me ? I’m so glad I read your post, this town seems like a hidden gem 😁
Can't get to it because spectrum is shut down it runs through Rogue River and we have high winds coming that are going to throw me out of power now this is not my email address

I used to live in Rogue River, Oregon. Up Ward Creek Rd. where the paved part turn to gravel.
I remember where the gravel road started up Wards Creek. Did you live there in the 80's?
