- I hope this video will make you feel as though you are sat beside me and we can make art together. ♡♡
My favourite paints to use are DecoArt acrylic paints. I use them here in a variety of colours including teal, yellow ochre and burnt sienna but please use whatever colours you prefer.
I painted a selection of papers in different colours and allowed to dry before using. You could use bought patterned papers or make your own like I did. I then drew out a butterfly shape onto paper, traced the segments of the wings onto the patterned papers, cut out and stuck down.

Great way to depict the segments of the butterfly! You could also use carbon paper in the tracing process. ❤🦋❤ I may also try using fabrics. Very creative and inspiring but disappointed I couldn't find Part 2.

Love it Ali! Totally reminds me of the Eric Carle books...the very hungry caterpillar....I used to teach kids how to make art in his style & it was a similar process! This turned out so stunning! I could see this as is in a gorgeous nursery! Can't wait to see how it transforms in part 2!

So pretty! i like mono printing and this is a great way to Use them. what tracing paper did you use. im only familiar with using graphite. I Enjoy your artwork!
