Great Video, that looks clean. I did something similar about 2 years back. WIth a alpine 4ch and an alpine sub amp under the passenger seat. 8in Sub underneath the driver seat. I just covered the entire bottom of the equipment with velcro which is very secure. The amps fit so snug that they really cant move in the recessed part as well. I didn't want a big sub taking up space and weight in the trunk. The 8in provide just enough to fill out the bottom end. I might run some wiring for a second 10in . I almost wanted to cut out the metal in the rear dash and mount a 10/12in woofer.
Dude your killing it with these mods/upgrades. I want to replicate this in my sti but I don't know if I could do as good of a job as you did 😂 I'll most certainly give it my best shot though!
Great job man! Gives me good ideas for my upcoming 4Runner install! I’m doing a 5 channel JL Audio amp. No LOC, I’m just going to run all 4 channels to the high level input.
Nice tidy install. I'm planning one for my BP5 Legacy, so being another Subaru hopefully I should find a similar recess once it arrives in the UK from Japan. I've seen alot of installs where the amps intrude into the rear footwell but it seems yours does not. I was concerned I may have to look at boot mounting instead, but following a similar install to what you have done, I should have plenty of room for a Compact Class D 4ch under there. Thanks for the video!
@@WarriorsPhoto One active underseat sub under the passenger seat, and one 4ch amp under the driver's seat. Or at least I get the car in 5-6 weeks so that's the plan
Hmm, I'm trying to figure out how to do my amp/cap install, even have a sheet of ABS, and this looks damn near perfect. Not sure if I have the room under the seat though, but after seeing this, I may give this a go.
Is no on worried about mounting directly in front of floor heater vents? Those amps might not like the heat on in the winter. I'm trying to figure out best way to extend the vents to blow past the amps.
Given that the amp is under seat, is there any need to worry about moisture esp when it rains or snows and the liquid outside comes into the car from our shoes.
How much space is under the seat you think? I have a 2018 STI, should be pretty identical. I'm hoping to stuff an Audiocontrol amp measuring about 12" x 8" underneath.
I just installed an old school MTX 4320 under the passenger seat. I bolted the plastic mounting feet to one side of the floor and made a bracket to keep the amp level for the other side. I haven't played them amp yet so I hope I do not get electrical interference since I did not use a board. Such a tight fit. The ampmis isolated with the plastic mounting feet. Is it 100% necessary to use a board to isolate the chassis to the amp?
Bro, this was amazing! So many genius tips dropped in an under 5 minute video! Super dope result 👌
The clear tape on the template was a good ideas! 👍
I really like the use of the ABS plastic panel and studs. Nice job!
You have done everything I want to do to my WRX. Love your vids.
Wow that was actually a super clean install I love the tape as a window method I wish I would of known that sooner

Always appreciate your videos. The info you provide for setting up a sound system is amazing 👏
I love table saws. Great videos man. Stay safe bro.

This is an awesome way of doing it. Going to do the same in my car, thanks 👍🏼

Are you running one or two amps?

That sounds like you’ll be bumping 🔊.

great idea! thanks for the tip! i'll do exactly that with my 2021 hrv, thanks for the hard work of making this video!
El mejor video que he visto para esta instalación gracias todos los otros videos catastróficos Gracias
@Boost & Shutter can you post links to the mount hardware you found? also the nut size?
I got a L bracket and used a vice and hammer to bend. Nut size under seat is M6

That's what I was literally just about to say. That's why I mount amps in the back so the heater doesn't fry my amp
Dont use the floor heat option.
Plug/cover vents so no air comes out
Damn bro. You should open your own shop. Great job
This is an excellent video!
3:21 that's what she said!
hey, you told me to write that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What about the air vent under the seat? When the heat is on won't that overheat the amp
That’s what she said. And awesome video thanks for the tips!
Wow that was really nicely done!
Nice - thanks for sharing! Seat mounts look like a Jeep XJ?….
"just for the weekend warrior" *bends quarter inch steel twice with bare hands"
Not with bare hands 🤣🤣
Cheers man, super helpful
Thanks!
How do you remove the seat without a airbag light?
What size nuts did you use to secure to the car from the brackets?
I want to know too! I think I need grub screws to make it longer
The size is M6
Where did you secure your ground wire?

where do buy that abs plastic? don't see link..
Here’s the link

Nice job my man
nice keeping that center of gravity low and extra weight to balance the driver
thumbs up for workmanship..!
Thank you!
nice build
Nice work!
where did you get remote source from?
Great tutorial!! Good tips

What do you do with extra rca cable ?
Remove or coil and secure with zip ties.
Good hacks. Thank you!
YW!
Great fucking job yo. So damn clever and pro. Damn shame I can't do this because of my gigantic amp haha.
Can you tell me where you got your brackets
Can you send a link for the brackets?
Awesome
I have an amplifier under both seats. Just make sure to vacuum from time to time.
Nice
Great fucking video. I will do the same too! Thank you!
Hermano d donde agarraste la tierra para el amp. Gracias.
That's what she said
Drop water or a soda it done
I'm glad he said this is "NOT" a professional install, cuz the way those two amps at the beginning are wired, it's very amateurish.
thats what she said 🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣 that's what she said
That's what she.... oh.. xD xD
Nicely done 👍
