Thank you so much for making this video. I 1000% agree with you about Dino Crisis 2, and I wish Capcom would redo DC 1&2 or remake them RE1 style. Not to sound like Encanto... but! We don't talk Dino Crisis 3😂
Your original Dino Crisis video was my introduction to this franchise and It honestly so cool. I still crave a Jurassic Park Survival Horror officially but atleast we have this which is close enough. Great Video as always and I love the attention to detail with your research and explanations. Thanks Suzi!
Damn this game had such a vibe. The sounds and atmosphere of the jungle, the roars of dinosaurs in the distance. The little particle effects dancing on screen. Sometimes as a kid i would just leave the game on so I could have the jungle sounds on as background noise. Also who can forgot the awesome credit scenes of CG dinos living out their best lives. One of my favorites.
My second favorite after og RE3. I actually came back to Dino Crisis 2 recently and damn I was getting my ass handed to me, don't know how child me could run the entire game without any damage taken
Here's why Dino Colosseum is still the best of it's kind, you can play as dinosaurs. Once you unlock every human and the tank the dinos are available to purchase and play This game brings so many good memories, still my favorite ps1 game
Well apparently one of the recent Samurai games was initially a Tenchu remake/reboot - guess there were too many "Japanese style soulslikes" to do an Onimusha remake and dinos aren't the flavour of this console generation :(
Exoprimal looked so cool and I love coop shooters especially with classes. I didn't realize it was going to be a PvPvE game. even if you pick the "PVE" mode its not actually pve, you still compete at the last round and the enemies can attack you through controlling the dinos. I just want a pve shooter. I'll buy it if they actually add a true pve mode that is 5 players and has nothing to do with an opposing team. Until then I have plenty of other games to play.
Publishers should be legally obligated to release the game code publicly when they decide to shutdown online games, that way the community can keep them alive. I mean they wont make any more money out them anyway
That, as well as the full source code and assets for any game that is effectively/realistically no longer legally playable. Dino Crisis, unless it's available somewhere I'm not aware of, was last playable on PS3. Which is no longer produced. I don't know how it would work exactly, but my pie in the sky ideal would be something like copyright for video games expiring 10 years after it is no longer actively produced and sold by its publisher, and that patent can only be renewed by re-releasing it. Finally you did this game! I grew up relatively poor so buying games for me were always few and far in between. This is one game I had for a long time and I loved it. It will always share a special place in my heart. I know the story was barely there, but the soundtrack and atmosphere really made me want to be in this world to experience it for myself. Thanks for giving this game your time!
I love looking at how and what games like Resident Evil, Parasite Eve and Dino Crisis did in the sequels. All did something different and all are fun/enjoyable in their own way, even if things didnt always mesh perfectly.
I'm pretty sure that Exoprimal started out as a new DC, they just kept getting new ideas until it became something else entirely. The same thing happened with Devil May Cry, which started out as the original concept for Resident Evil 4. I just hope we get a remake ala RE2 etc., in the RE engine.
What a BLAST this game is!! I remember my dad buying it for me, in my birthday, back in the day... and we both being blown out of the roof by the visuals, sound, EVERYTHING! It was definitely ahead of its time. It felt like a PS2 game (and even better in some aspects!) I loved the first thrills as Dylan, then BOOM! Super cool music plays and you incarnate Regina! Then all these story bits that felt like a summer blockbuster movie. The pleasure of mastering weapons, upgrades, etc. Wow! Dino Crisis 2 has it all! Even the survival horror aspects in some parts of it (like underwater). I'll definitely play it again in the future (last time I did it was during the pandemic and lockdown). I didn't like Dino Crisis 1 much, but 2 is easily in my Top 20 games of all time. THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO! It was a truly nostalgic journey.
I am so excited for you to cover onimusha. It was one of my favorite games from my childhood and it's a shame that it doesn't get as much coverage as other series.
RedScot gaming brought up a lot of similarities between Dino Crisis and the ALIEN movies in his series retrospective, which makes sense when you really break it down. "Horror movie becomes action movie (Alien to Aliens). Survival horror game...BECOMES A GOD DAMN SHOOTER (DC1 to DC2)!"
Dino Crisis 2 is one of my favorite PS1 games ever, it's so criminally underrated that it makes my head spin! Thanks for covering it Suzi, ya nailed it! 🥂
This is the first video I've watched from you, which caused me to go back and watch your review of Dino Crisis 1. You're very well spoken about these games, your voice is really soothing, and I love your personal style! Can't wait to see more from you.
So happy to see people talking about this game more often. Had to be my favorite game growing up! Always felt the same way you did about the ending. Although, it bugged me the way the game ended, I loved it too. They definitely make you love Dylan.
I proudly still have my PS1 copy of Dino Crisis 2. I can't express enough how much the save room music, in the midst of a hopeless, isolated horror scenario, had an effect on me as a kid. It was definitely on par with Resident Evil's save room music. Thank you for doing this series justice!
I hope you get well soon!! I finished Dino Crisis 2 just recently and was surprised by how good the game is. The gameplay seemed to me like a progression of resi 3. their goal could have been to give an engine with prerendered backgrounds a more dynamic feel to it. looking forward to your teased game review :)
Your Dino Crisis 1 video is why I subscribed to your channel, and I'm super glad that I did. Both games are super nostalgic to me, having beaten both games at least 3 or 4 more times. Also, the coliseum mode allows you to play as all of the enemy dinosaurs via unlocking them with your total accumulated points at the end of each playthrough. And it even supports 2 players!
Honestly, it's crazy that with the success of the modern RE remakes and the DMC revival with 5, it's nuts that Dino Crisis and Onimusha haven't seen any love in so long. Dino Crisis seems like an even better fit for the RE4/RE4 remake over-the-shoulder action framework. They let us fight dinos in that doomed weird hero shooter/objective race game Exoprimal, and there's always Monster Hunter, but it seems like Capcom has to have it's resources stretched thin given how much time and money it takes to create anything with modern graphics. Just can't afford to spend money on something that isn't a sure thing when it costs 6 figures just to model Dante's jacket :(
Dino Crisis 2 was my introduction into the "fixed camera resi like" games and i loved it to bits as a kid. Also probably jumpstarted my love for akimbo smgs. Awesome retrospective suzi. really made my evening.
That ending cutscene got me hyped for you next review. Onimusha, Dino Crisis, Resident Evil; All amazing stuff to discover as a kid. It's amazing how far games have come.
Thank you very much for spreading the word of how this game resembles RE4, I remember a while ago people hating on this game because of how it changed the formula of the first one but this game is just so much fun to play, one of my favorite games on the PS1 for sure
I love both Dino Crisis games, but DC2 is my favorite of the two. I played the game so much! I still have both of my PS1 Dino Crisis games. I was sure there would be another game after the cliff hanger, and honestly can't believe there never was.
Dino crisis 2 was my absolute favourite as a kid! Never had a memory card, so always had to play through it from the start- but it never got old. Not once! It's the reason I still own my old ps2.
Just want to let you know, that because of this Video i replayed Dino Crisis 2 and had a lot of fun. And there where many Moments where i could remeber Stuff from my childhood when i first played the Game. Espicially finding the 3rd Energy key card, and the time the Dino steals your KeyCard.
Crichton's Jurassic Park and The Lost World are both really fascinating books. The impact they had on the public's interest in genetics can't be overstated.
This game underrated, in resident evil people are afraid if they are chased by nemesis but in dino crisis everything chases you & what makes it special is the combo system to collect points
I loved both dino crisis games because the first one felt like a survival horror because its from the makers of resident evil and the 2nd dino crisis felt like a action adventure with some puzzles.
Make a bunch of great indie horror games about dinos and eventually some AAA developer will steal the idea and make it worse for a game that IGN gives 10/10 to. Then one of the AA knockoffs will actually be good.
Really great hearing your soothing voice again while i work over night helps with the long shift. I loved hearing you going over the whole games lore and history and following up with the others and exoprimal. Hope your health/medical stuff goes better looking forward to the next video much love.
I was lucky enough to play a bit of DC2 as a kid, that was a blast. Also excited for the Onimusha review, it's a highly underrated franchise that was really fun.
It's good to see you back. Hopefully your medical issues get resolved promptly. Also I remember enjoying this game myself for all of it quirkiness and strangeness.
I remember renting both Dino Crisis 1&2, and playing it on a friend's PlayStation. Intense, wild, brutal, and exciting. Regina is unforgettable. Sigh this series needs to return, and Regina's journey deserves closure Exoprimal 🤦 Capcom. Seriously why?
Oh, no! I'm sorry that you have had to go through health complications 😢. Welcome back. I hope that you're ok now. I've never heard about Dino Crisis until I found your channel. Your passion for the games you love is contagious, so thank you for sharing your thoughts about them with us ❤
Important catch: We either get just Updated PE 1 & 2 OR if they try to go for part 3 again, a Remake is definitely needed compared to what was released.
Majesty's an unusual name; she's gotta be a nod to Regina. Someone upstairs must've been excited for guns, dinos, and time travel, but wouldn't/couldn't give the green light for a true Dino Crisis title.
I was obsessed with dinosaurs when i was young, jurassic park on genesis and some other games that came after were my childhood, dino crises changed everything it was so realistic and scary, it was like i've never seen dinosaur that vicious before. Still to this day i love dinosaurs and would love survival horror games based on them. Bur we dont got enough of them
Glad to see you showing even more love to the Dino Crisis games! Dino Crisis and Resident Evil were two major parts of my childhood so I'm loving the coverage. And I really hope the fallout from your medical emergency resolves itself, stinks to hear you're still dealing with it 2 months out.
10000% Exoprimal was originally a new DinoCrisis game but eventually changed midway through development exactly like how original RE4 became Devil May Cry.
It absolutely is. It was one of the few game I owned during the PSOne era and I played it many times. Regina (and Dylan) deserve another shot! I remember using the Solid Cannon to shoot and run through the blue ball of energy so Dinosaurs would take damage if they chased me
I love your videos and your love for the RE and Capcom in general is something that reflects on me and on all of the people here !! amazing job of dissecting what makes each game what it is and i love how you manage to get under the skin of the games you cover with an amazing balance between your love for them and what makes these games so unique , on that note id like to ask if it would be ever possible to cover another classic IP Alone in the dark and the similarities Capcom got and use upon the RE franchise through your own eyes ?? lots of love keep up the good work on all the things you doing !!!
Suzi, back with another fantastic video! ♥️ I'm glad you're still managing to make high-quality videos from the heart, and I hope you're doing well. Stay safe. And as always, your cosplays are stunning. 👏 I haven't played these games, I don't think I've even heard of them until you made a video about them. They likely weren't sold or well-advertised in my country. But the games seems like something I would've played had I known about them.
26:22 "I hope it's a follow up to this ending, and not a remake or something. I just *need* a resolution to this." I know this video is about Dino Crisis 2, but you just summed up my thoughts on Golden Sun Dark Dawn perfectly.
Your video on the first Dino Crisis is how I discovered your channel. Glad to see you talk about the second one, too. Seems like there's never enough games with (in my best Mr. DNA voice) dinosaurs. Love the cosplays you do in your videos as well.
The underwater section with the giant plesiosaur stalking you in the reactor room is legitimately the reason I'm scared of the ocean now. Absolutely fantastic game. It is my dream we get to see an old and grizzled Regina dropping in to pick up Dylan saying 'didn't think I'd forgotten did you solder?'. But I'd take an RE style remake absolutely.
Nice to have you back, hope you are well or that you get better soon. And Finally!!! Dino Crisis 2, yes! Nice to see so much love for this game in the comments below, definitely this game as well as the first, not to mention Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Wild Arms 2, the Spyro franchise, Parasite Eve 1 & 2 were my childhood. I loved the first thrills as Dylan, then BOOM!
Underrated lmao
This is the first video I've watched from you, which caused me to go back and watch your review of Dino Crisis 1. You're very well spoken about these games, your voice is really soothing, and I love your personal style! Can't wait to see more from you.
The return of the survival horror queen. And the sequel we were all expectating for a long long time to come. 🔥 Its Finally Here 🔥
So happy to see people talking about this game more often.
Your voice is so soothing. Would totally buy audio books narrated by youu
Welcome back, hope you get well soon. You are one of my all time favourite content creators and the world wouldn't be the same without you
I hope you get well soon!! I finished Dino Crisis 2 just recently and was surprised by how good the game is. The gameplay seemed to me like a progression of resi 3. their goal could have been to give an engine with prerendered backgrounds a more dynamic feel to it. looking forward to your teased game review :)
We don't deserve this, you're too good to us Suzi.

stfu dude with this mentality u won't advance in life
Yeah, especially me.
huh get life simp

Your Dino Crisis 1 video is why I subscribed to your channel, and I'm super glad that I did. Both games are super nostalgic to me, having beaten both games at least 3 or 4 more times.
Also, the coliseum mode allows you to play as all of the enemy dinosaurs via unlocking them with your total accumulated points at the end of each playthrough. And it even supports 2 players!
Regina cosplay made my heart smile
Do you know what this game is at the end?
@@blinxman4956 Onimusha
I've always liked Dino Crisis 2 more than 1, it was the first videogame i've ever completed on my own
Crichton's Jurassic Park and The Lost World are both really fascinating books. The impact they had on the public's interest in genetics can't be overstated.
Can you imagine if they made a big budget Dino Crisis movie? It would be like Predator with dinosaurs. That’d be dope as fuck.
This game was WAY underrated. Loved both of them. It's in desperate need of a reboot
A retrospective AND a game review. Thank you very much.
I’d love to see more Survival Horror games centering around Dinosaurs.
Yeah 👍
It works so well together honestly
Make a bunch of great indie horror games about dinos and eventually some AAA developer will steal the idea and make it worse for a game that IGN gives 10/10 to. Then one of the AA knockoffs will actually be good.
This upload is a nice timing, since I am currently replaying this game again on my Vita for the last few weeks
Oh man, i remember spending hours and hours blasting dinosaurs, loved Dino Crisis 2 a lot. ❤
Really great hearing your soothing voice again while i work over night helps with the long shift. I loved hearing you going over the whole games lore and history and following up with the others and exoprimal. Hope your health/medical stuff goes better looking forward to the next video much love.
The world needs more of your videos, keep it up.
One of my favorite games of all time. I was so disappointed that Capcom forgot about this series.
Sigh this series needs to return, and Regina's journey deserves closure
Exoprimal 🤦 Capcom. Seriously why?
Oh, no! I'm sorry that you have had to go through health complications 😢.
Welcome back. I hope that you're ok now.
I've never heard about Dino Crisis until I found your channel. Your passion for the games you love is contagious, so thank you for sharing your thoughts about them with us ❤
I'd love to have a modern take on the Dino Crisis franchise, and a fresh update of Parasite Eve to go along with it.
I played this so much as a child I bet I could complete it blindfolded.
Dino Crisis needs to come back!
Reboot with Sphere voicing Regina!
I hope you're feeling better and welcome back!
It absolutely is. It was one of the few game I owned during the PSOne era and I played it many times. Regina (and Dylan) deserve another shot!
I remember using the Solid Cannon to shoot and run through the blue ball of energy so Dinosaurs would take damage if they chased me
I love your videos and your love for the RE and Capcom in general is something that reflects on me and on all of the people here !! amazing job of dissecting what makes each game
what it is and i love how you manage to get under the skin of the games you cover with an amazing balance between your love for them and what makes these games so unique ,
on that note id like to ask if it would be ever possible to cover another classic IP Alone in the dark and the similarities Capcom got and use upon the RE franchise through your own eyes ??
lots of love keep up the good work on all the things you doing !!!
Never tapped on a video faster. So glad you're covering this absolute gem of a title! Played this a ton growing up!
I wish they made a remake of Dino Crisis 2 like they did with resident evil 2
Suzi, back with another fantastic video! ♥️ I'm glad you're still managing to make high-quality videos from the heart, and I hope you're doing well. Stay safe. And as always, your cosplays are stunning. 👏
I haven't played these games, I don't think I've even heard of them until you made a video about them. They likely weren't sold or well-advertised in my country. But the games seems like something I would've played had I known about them.
I have a still-functioning copy of Dino Crisis for my PSX which also still functions. It also included a demo disc for Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.
I’m really hoping Capcom isn’t like using exoprimal to determine whether to make another dinocrisis or not
Suzi has blessed us with her presance once again!
Facts.
26:22 "I hope it's a follow up to this ending, and not a remake or something. I just *need* a resolution to this."
I know this video is about Dino Crisis 2, but you just summed up my thoughts on Golden Sun Dark Dawn perfectly.
Your video on the first Dino Crisis is how I discovered your channel. Glad to see you talk about the second one, too. Seems like there's never enough games with (in my best Mr. DNA voice) dinosaurs. Love the cosplays you do in your videos as well.
Hope your upsetting medical situation isn't persistent for much longer. Great vid as always. Edit: Next vid Onimusha?
Dino Crisis 2 was one of the first games I had on the PSONE, and the first I actually finished...
without a memory card xD
Awesome game!
She is only UA-camr i haven't seen her changed a bit, always cool, funny and being loved by alomst everyone. Keep it up suzi🤙🏻
Dino Crisis is a great underrated series!
DC3 is right where it belongs in terms of rating but its a shame 1 & 2 are basically forgotten by everyone not versed in classic survival horror.
This sequel will always hold a special place in my heart. Plus you videos are worth watching Suzi 💜
Now I wondering if you will soon cover ones like Alien: Isolation, Evil Within 2, RE5, RE Revelations 1 & 2, Clock Tower 3, and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow?
We love you Suzi! Thanks for the great video!🥰🥰🥰
I will never stop hoping for a remake of Dino Crisis 2 or a real sequal to the second part. One day...i know it, one day it will happen.
