im on my second Shadow. honestly, i'll never sell another one. i don't care how many i collect, i'll never get rid of em. these bikes are BULLETPROOF! and so classy, stylish, and probably the most customizeable bike out there.
My shadow runs fantastic even at 21 years old, starts every time. just wish it was more comfortable for me. my legs are too long and i feel cramped on it.
Hi new family, I just bought a 2001 Shadow Spirit 750 in mint condition with new tires YESTERDAY ! My first bike in over 20 years and I'm scared shitless, as much as I am excited , but I think I need a riding partner to help me on my re-entry maiden voyage. It started right up and purrs like a kitten, sounds like a Harley, and has a nice, soft clutch feel. Honda makes the best everything just like Kawasaki, and Yamaha.
I just bought a 2006 Honda Shadow Spirit 750cc, 8400miles and cosmetically in MINT condition. Prior owner was an elderly man, he just so happened to be a mechanic aswell. He helped me out and sold me the bike for 2800$. No regrets in the purchase. It's flawless. Loving it so far. ♥️🤙🏼😁. It's a blast to ride.
Good find man, I just got a 99 Shadow 750 with 15kmi for 2300. Sat in a garage since 2012 and the dude's son is a mechanic so he fixed it up and I wound up buying it from him. Doesn't even need the choke in to start it when it's over 70 out. Awesome bike
Samme exactly I got a 2006 just two weeks ago with cobra exhaust, K and n parts and i put speakers and led neon glow lights on it great bike except I picked mine up for 2500
Just beame the new owner of my dads 2002 honda shadow and after being riden maybe 3 times last year and sitting all winter it started right up with a new battery. cant wait to keep his memory alive with his bike.
Cant beat the older bikes! Cant wait for spring to take mine back out. I would love to own a shadow. My father owned a black, midnight edition one. P.s. I think that scooter is a Bergman
This was my father's bike, I really don't want to give it up. I may try adding floorboards and a seat pad to adjust the ride position for me. He is shorter than I am.
@@CitizenCycle925 yes ergonomics are the most important things on a motorcycle. I'm around your dadd height so it would work well for me. The best part about motorcycles is the customizability, you can make it yours! Good luck.
Honda Shadow is a great line. They reintroduced them around 2005 and I almost bought one. Do you still have it? What are you asking? And... where are you? I live in So Calif. Rick
@@unclerick4569 I still have my shadow. I'm in Raleigh NC area. I had a price of $2300 on it(I listed high) I was getting offers around$1500-$1600. Just didn't want to part with it yet.
Are you giving it all the choke? Mine fires right up cold. Even after several weeks, so long as the battery is charged. Maybe 2-3 turns if it's really cold
I'm 5'6" and had to buy a kit to lower it. I have a 2001 shadow. I'm the second owner and it's my first bike and I've fallen a couple of times and it's hard to pick up.lol
What model is your honda shadow spirit and year? Is it a VT750 A/A or something like that? I heard that model had a specific battery that was different from the others. Not sure if that is myth or not. But i like that model of spirit model. Thanks.
I want an Indian scout or chief but with me having no prior riding experience I don't want to buy a brand new nike right away. Got a guy with an '03 Shadow 600 for about 2 grand and only 2300 miles on it. Not a scratch on the bike. Thinking it would be good to get the used bike so I don't absolutely kill the value of a new one when I undoubtedly turn it over since they're kinda on the heavier side for a beginner
If you're just learning I'd get the bike you are most comfortable on. You could always add some crash bars like the ones I have on this 750 shadow spirit bike. Also keep in mind that every bike is going to feel different and handle different So just because you start on one and get comfortable with it, when you switch to another you might be uncomfortable again.
Pull the choke out before you start it and go through your normal startup steps. It purposefully makes the engine run rich (high amount of fuel to air) to make sure it can start and it warms the engine up faster. On colder days you probably need to leave it in for 3 or 4 minutes, but if it's warm out you may only need the choke in for 30 seconds. Your engine will start to sound loud and choppy if the choke is still in and needs to be turned off. If you disengage the choke before it needed it your bike would just stall and you can just engage the choke and restart it again.

It's such a great bike I loved mine
My 2004 Honda Shadow, Ace Starts on the first crank. Even after a freezing night. I let it idle for three to five minutes and she is ready to go.

If only you were in the west coast I would pick it up for my first and only bike.
I wanted to buy one and I'm 6.4 :) thx for the info! I'll look for something bigger
I'm 6' and 180 and it's plenty of room, for anyone wondering.
I have a 05 with the twin carbs, the only way to start it in cold weather is 1/4 throttle with full choke.. I have it tuned for summer though
Where do you get the aftermarket fenders for the shadow? Can’t seem to find any

What sort of handle bars are those ? Def not stock correct ? Mine look longer and the shape is different.
I have 2005 Honda Shadow 750 with 49 miles on it. What is the best way to go about selling it?
Nice bike, does not look the years it has been around.
I just got one today any tips? It’s a 2000

i bought a 750cc 2003 honda shadow for only $1100 and it is a BEAST I tell ya. its gonna be a forwver bike for sure.
Im trying to find websites to look around to buy one and ship to EU, care to help where can i look?
I'm 6' 2'' i put 5 inch forward controls and turned the risers around . Way more comfy
Did you use the TC Bros Kit? This was the best thing I did for my bike. Im also 6'2

i have a 2000 shadow 1100. love these bikes. I wish I had your year model lol fuel injected and the overall body looks better.
This bike has definitely held up well over time. it still looks pretty sharp. My model year does not have fuel injection though It's carbureted

How much did you list it for?? Need a walk around video.
Think I had it listed at like $2300
Does that have a fuel valve and if it does do u keep the valve off ?
no fuel valve on this model
