- Come with me and let’s see what’s going on with this customers motorcycle who wants to sell it to my dealership. What do you think I will pay for this 2003 Horna shadow?

I just bought one, exactly the same trim, and even plastidipped black (it was red too) hahah exactly the same condition, but with v&h exhaust and cobra foot boards for $250
I guess I did real good....the bike I purchased today is a 2003 shadow almost zero rust...with tires that only had 800 miles on them no cracks and nice. Payed 1200 this video really really helped thanx
You scored. I put over 150K on my 2001. Enjoy your new ride. Don't be a sucker, keep it forever.
Paid 2k for mine today
The tires are one of the most important parts of any bike. It is one of the first things anyone should look at when buying a bike. Anyone that will ride a bike with bad tires obviously doesn't understand the importance that they play in the safe operation of a motorcycle and you have to figure that if they don't know about the importance of tires there is good chance that they don't know a lot of other things as well.
rule number one never use a dealer for a trade in or to buy or sale your motorcycle and never use their financing ever.
Exception to every rule.
Four years ago I got a 2012 Honda Aero Shadow, 4000 Miles - $4000. only booboo a Hard to see fender crease above the taillight. This was to replace my 05 Aero which got totaled along with my left leg which was also replaced. Took me a year to accessorize and equip with thumb shift, handle on sidestand. I now have almost 14000 miles on it no issues. Only thing is when we went to pick it up the dealer was in a hurry to get us out of there, he said I was bad for business 😉🙏
Honda has a 4.99% APR financing promotion right now. It's a pretty good deal. All the banks are giving 7-10% right now.
@@thomasjordan5578😂😂😂😂 maybe you are young to have a son my age, but you remind me my father. Jajajaj
I bought a 2005 shadow aero 750 with 8000 miles for $2600 in Tennessee.
I’m kinda close to you. I bought a 2002 shadow 750 ace with 12,000 miles with new tires and speakers and and it came with some other accessories for 3,000. I also live in TN and bought it last week
Why would a chick in a red bikini buy a old used cruiser?? Are you a pederast?
@@colebear5674 2005 shadow 750 aero with 14,000 miles with new tires and speakers and some other accessories for 2,900. Baltimore Area.
That looks like it used to be a red and chrome bike that was totally destroyed with flat black paint. It has a lot of rust and corrosion. What's UP with the front fender? It's not a dirt bike. Absolutely amazing it has the stock exhaust on it. I always liked the big huge 2 into 1 stock pipes on the early Shadow 750 ACE. Depending on its mechanical condition, I could build a nice rat bike out of that. It already has a good start on one.
Pro-tip - Clean the freaking bike, straighten up things, before you take it in. Good video, appreciate the info. This bike shows the owner didn't give a rip about it or what he might get in trade-in.
Thank you Mr. McDonald. Great input and very on point.
I totally agree and this is how all dealerships should approach the running of their business. I'm guessing that when people see this man's videos they will see him as a good businessman who wants the best for his customers.
Its prolly worth 1500 but in todays market it'll be listed for $2500
$500.tops
Naa not that bike unless some one fell an hit their head
@@magnuspymif it's running it's worth 800.00
Seemed like a fair assessment
lol since everyone else is doing it. I just bought a 2001 Honda Shadow Spirit (VT750DC1) with unknown miles (but the original owner was a rich kid that daily drove it), non-running and sat in Central Florida weather for about a year. Light surface rust here or there and needs a new battery, carb rebuilt, forks rebuilt (shot dust shields/wiper seals) but it will most likely fire right up once I get a battery and clean gas in it even without the carb rebuild. Paid $250 to my brother-in-law and he paid $1,250 before he let it sit.
Well I happen to agree with him. Those bikes sale around here from 1500 up to about 2500
Thank you,Sir....very helpful.
Bro I bought a 2007 honda aero 11k here Cali no rust looks great except for a small dink on the front left side of gas take . Everything else works no leaks . I payed $ 3600 . Did I pay to much . First bike. Please 🙏 let me know your thoughts .
I’d say you payed over
@@TylerEarling thanks
depend your state dude, in 2016 I paid 1500 bucks on shadow ace 2003 in MA. I know the aero , nice bike too all shadow is 750, great bikes.
I found a 2003 Aero for a friend of mine. 724 miles on it. Small rust spots on the chrome cleaned right off. Change all the fluids, tires, and battery. Cleaned the tank and carbs. Shined it all up brand new. looks and runs like brand new.
Put about $500 into it, paid $2,000 for it.
So, for $2,500 he got a nice new motorcycle.
@@coltwinchester6124 $2500 for a 20 year old bike. Sheesh. $250 is more like it and only if you throw in a nice gear.
Thanks. I am about to buy my first motorbike and every bit that I can learn before doing so can only help me. You obviously buy and sell motorbikes for a living so I look forward to seeing other videos before I part with my hard earned money. Thanks again.
Clutch lever ball end is broken off. This bike was dropped or layed down in an accident. Rear hub damage, fluid leaks, odometer not working. The bike is a can of worms. I would pass on it.
I would bet that little bike has sat outside in the weather for a lot of its life. Guarantee ya it’s still dependable af though.
I have a 02 750 ACE that shames that bike. Only have 4k original miles on mine. V&H pipes . Can be yours for $2,500 !
This is a shame. Why would you want to get rid of that bike? I guess if you have to? You have to. That's a very nice bike😊
It's not nice. It's rough. Have you even watched the video? Broken parts all over the bike, rust, missing parts, worn bushings, and who knows if engine is not sputtering bolts and is on last leg of life.
Liked & subscribed , great video
Thank you Ken!
If you buy it at JM Honda you'll pay a lot extra. I know that from experience.
I’d recommend buying what you like.
@@EDPowersports I did, thanks.
Funny, you'd pass on the bike because of the tires, not because of the pitting, rust, and jacked up rear wheel. Doesn't sound legit.
Do y’all think I overplayed? I just bought a 2002 Honda shadow ace 750 w 12,000 miles with new tires and new speakers on the bike and a few other accessories for 3,000 in TN. I just bought it last week
$250 is the max I would pay for 2002. And only if seller throws in a nice gear.
Without seeing the bike it’s hard to tell but in my area they run between 2-3k w/ some having a lot more miles.
he is out to make himself and the dealer money at your loss.
I paid 2500 for a 2005 shadow vt1100c2 with 14k miles on it...
Buddy said “looking at this bike it’s pretty rough” that tells you everything you need to know about what this guy knows about body work or what brakes a deal ABSOLUTELY NOTHING 😂the bike isn’t in that bad of shape a 100$’s and some spit shine shit your good
I can see you are moronic imbecile that knows nothing about bikes and even less about repairs. That rear wheel hub is alone worth more than $200 and probably 8 times more than your life. Allah Inshallah.
My 2005 has those same beating marks on the rear hub.
Is the 2005 carbonated or fuel ejected?
@@TylerTheWelder Carbureted, and the most convoluted carburetor I have ever delt with. Its just stupid. I am trying to adapt universal carbs but the way the tank sits over the engine makes it difficult to engineer.
@@TylerTheWelder Lol! Carbonated and fuel ejected? That's hilarious man. I do believe that you are trying to say carbureted and fuel injected. Thanks for the laugh.
@@TylerTheWelder 😂.... they started with fuel injection after 2010
Hello…How much is it…750…?
Never think a tire is good just because it has no wear. Look at the year it was made. If its older than 5 years it will have lost over 40% of it grip capabilites due to the rubber hardening. DOT markings are there for a reason.
Bonjour monsieur
Combien avez vous proposé en dollars pour cette Honda de 2003?
Merci pour la réponse.
I'd give around 800 cash no more like u said man I believe you an not others
one offer of $300, take it or leave it
that is you pay me that much to haul it off
2003 Honda Shadow??? Hi,hi,hi. Rust, another paint, rust on spoke end rim. A lot of money to spend for a clean image. Find another.
Man I want one of these but u just hate on it. Let’s talk about how nice it started up. But I give me hope I can buy one of these for cheep
Sketchy ass dealership are a no go when it comes to selling or trading your bikes be watchful of who looks at and purchases it at one of these places because the owner of the dealership will send some dummy out to talk to you about and Buddy will have no experience with the market in bike shops
So cool, please tell us more about your experience xxxtentacion. Very original username
700.00 bucks firm!
until you sell to someone else for 1899 no certo
Offer him $1000 . If he expects more, he should have cleaned it up
All I hear is wsssssssssh

My 2 cents, the owner was a d bag.

"aesthetically pleasing"??? pile of sh**is more accurate.
That thing is a piece of junk 🤢
$800 bucks at most
$800.00 max
id give it a four. an I'd give about 4000 no more
i dont think thats a 2003 i have 03 nothing at all like that that looks older! also thats a death trap needs taken off road period not worth anything at all! 0$ id pay to have someone taake it away!
This one's been tinkered with a lot , I have a 1999 ace and my uncle has a 2003. Can tell the front fender isn't original and the rears been either replaced or chopped with signals relocated, drag style bars but yeah it's a 2000s erra shadow
