Hey drive 315! The shadows are such great bikes!!! I love my 2012 phantom (23k mileage) but I also have a 2012 shadow spirit in candy orange flame color with 7k mileage and it looks showroom stock…it’s a blast to ride too👍👍

Drive 315..also on the cobra exhaust you can take off the rear tips (bolt on the inner side)!when I got my phantom used it already had the cobra exhaust in black and the previous owner left the tips off…it looks better and badass!! Also check out the clear lenses for the turn signals and switchback front lights on UA-cam videos there sweet and I’m doing it to mine👍

Drive 315! You need to add the cobra fuel controller (they make one in black for the phantom) and a k&n filter in the airbox with the desnorkel trick (shadow forums) man what a difference it made to my shadow that had cobra exhaust like yours when I got it..it revs quicker and has more pull in the Rpms👍
Mine runs very nice as is, but honestly for a cruiser i dont know that i want it to rev fast. I kinda enjoy the slower rev feel

I just picked up an 04 750 Aero, and you're right: it's surprising how torquey the engine is despite being only around 45HP. It's also surprising how how easy it is to lean the bike into a curve or to change lanes. It's funny though, because after riding the Shadow for a while, when I climb back onto my SV650S, it feels like a F-18 fighter jet by comparison!

If its a 5-10min spin on a grom you will be fine. If you’re worried about wrecking on a grom then you should have a different hobby

I just got mine yesterday … do you feel every little bump on the road as well ? In my case I even feel the engine rumble under my bum. Not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to feel. It’s my first cruiser.

I'm a newbie here and looking into this bike as a beginners..this maybe a stupid question, but at what speed did you first shift??? (i.e, 25, 30, 40?)

Not a stupid question, on this bike probably at like 18-20mph when driving normally.
Also when you get the hang of it it will come naturally and shifting wont really be a chore at all…

That depends, if you’re into super fast bikes that can do wheelies then fz07…
If you want a reliable and comfortable bike just to cruise on, get the shadow 750.
I really like them both, I recommend the shadow 750 because the mt07 is an aggressive street bike and feels like it has twice the power of a shadow 750
Honda shadow! MT07 is NOT beginner bike.
@@rubo1964 sorry, too late. I bought an MT07 4 monts ago. The best beginners bike in my opinion. Just the right amount of power for a beginner, not too much to get crazy. Like always respect the bike, dont be affraid of it. The seating positon of the cruiser it just didnt feel right. Mt07 hit the nail, super comfy and easy to handle

The grom is a great beginners bike… but in my opinion its so much more than that.
My friend has a grom, and after riding that for a month i gave him my bigger bike (fz07) to try and he rode it easily.
Would this bike be too small for me? I’m 6’3 and don’t want to look like and elephant on a tricycle

If I wanted this bike for a daily commuter where 90% is 60-70mph freeway riding and 10% city would it be just fine at those speeds?
Thanks for watching. Yes it will be enough, it will get up to 70mph no problem but it wont accelerate that fast for passing power (if you gotta pass someone going 70mph)

Was there a risk of you getting burned by the exhausted on the right side? I’m shorter so that’s my biggest concern if I get this bike.

Yes this would be a great first bike, and they’re pretty cheap too. (Try to find one with a nice exhaust on it so you dont buy it later)

About the same weight as an iron 883.
I prefer a HD softail, but Hondas are great too
