    FAQ's
    -How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
    This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
    This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
    -How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
    Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
    This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
    -How much yarn do I need?
    Unfortunately, I will be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.
    -What camera do you use?
    I use a Canon 750D to film my videos on a tripod.
    -What do you do for a living?

    This is a great pattern for someone like me who is a beginner... again. Thank you for translating from the UK names of the stitches to the US crochet language. I'll slow it down and copy down what stitches to use. Fortunately it's simple enough to not overwork my pea brain.. lol. I'm doing something similar in a rectangular form... so this is graduation day, for me. The next step in complications. Love it. Thanks for posting. I subscribed.

    Thanks SO much for a clear and visual video! I had bought Lana Grossa cotton yarn then was let down by a pattern provider who had brief instructions which I couldn't follow. I took a gamble and used your pattern instead, it's coming along very nicely.

    okay i am in the US and was taught Triple Crochet, and every time the word treble was used though i thought what music class, okay treble = triple. to this day i still smile at that because i played in the band when i was at school and there always was a Treble in the beginning. thank you for the tutorial.

    Hello have just discovered crochet - I am a designer living in Belgium and am back in full flow into the 70's so I feel I must discover what all this is about. Therefore am taking small and timid steps towards this kind of art which previously was reserved in my mind to grandma's settee covers. Am entranced and seduced. Would also like to mention that your tuto is friendly, encouraging and you must be from more or less the same area as I in the UK .... Up NORTH ??? I loved this tutorial. Many thanks, Kay

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  2 роки тому

      If you wanted to crochet something similar but in a rectangular/square shape you can do so by: chaining an odd number to begin with, double crochet into each stitch for the first row, then for the second row slip stitch into the second stitch, chain two, skip a stitch, slip stitch into the next stitch and repeat across the row. For subsequent rows you can slip stitch into the chain spaces with chain twos in between 😊

    Live and watch and follow from another country. Don’t have the same yarn. The yarn here doesn’t give any hook specifications. It’s just plain yarn.I don’t have anything to go by. Could you specify which hook to use?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  3 роки тому +1

      I am unable to specify which hook for you to use as this normally depends on the yarn you are using. I do not know what type of yarn you have so it's very difficult for me to suggest a hook size to you. Maybe you could do a few sample pieces with different size hooks to see which one suits you best. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help and wish you good luck with your project :)

      At least you gave it a go, remember that crochet is practice and patience so keep trying and it will get easier :)

    Thanks for the tutorial - would have been better if you had completed the shawl though.

    Maybe I missed something but the finished shawl looks like it was made for a doll. Am I supposed to know how to make this for an adult human being? Smh

      Hi Cynthia, you would just continue the pattern until the shawl reaches your desired size, so begin each row with eight chain stitches (three count as the first stitch, five as the joining chain) and then double crochet in each circle along. In this way, you will add another circle each row and the shawl will grow bigger. 🙂

      This pattern just gets you started. It just has 1 repeat row. If you make 2 shawls, this pattern, 1 wearer may be 4'10" and the 2nd may be 5'8". You simply add on rows to desired length.

    Lovely idea, but why do you have to count aloud all the time???? I find it very of putting, why don't you count in your head & say at the end how many stitches you have done, like other people on u tube do

      Some people may have short term memory loss, like me, and find repetition helpful because what we have just heard is so quickly gone. The reinforcement is much appreciated.
      Some people have cognitive deficits and simply saying or doing isn't enough. However, if sound and action is put together...voila! It clicks and "I get it!"
      If you can be a bit patient you have the option of watching simply 1 or 2 rows with sound and then mute the rest. I am grateful for each bit of instruction however it may come.🥰
