I sit alone on a day of gray
Knowing just who I’ll betray
Casting out the child inside
Calling out to someone’s bride
I’m walking’ a razor’s edge

Terrified in how I feel
A fantasy becomes what’s real
The fatalistic pill in me
Quickens like a glazen seed

With a broken piece I cut the eyes
Starring at me through my disguise

I serenade a lie to say
The elemental truth in me
Is a euphemistic final plea
