Rest in peace to Adele Springsteen. You raised a beautiful son and it was lovely to see you dance.
I was in line for 7 hours while 8 months pregnant to get tickets to see Bruce. In ‘88. It began to rain and everyone was standing outside ( me sitting in a lawn chair), when they told everyone to come back tomorrow. They had a big box and asked you to draw a number from the box. That number signified where we were to be in line the next day. I was very happy as it put me much closer to the front of the line than where I was. I bought a black top and put big white lettering on it that said, “This baby is dancing in the dark” and wore it to the concert. People guided me up to the front where I was dancing with my big pregnant belly. Clarence Clemons was playing sax as he saw me. He pointed me out to Bruce. Bruce was very pleased and began to serenade me dancing back and forth while I was. Best concert moment for me ever!!

I just love this man. He gets better looking with age and his voice is still amazing. I would love to see him in concert. I literally started crying when I saw him bring his mama on stage with him. Such a proud moment for Bruce. I hate to hear of her passing. Losing our mama’s is the worst heartbreak there is.❤️💔
In the 80´s, he was dancing with the most beautiful girls of the first row. Decades later, nowerdays, he dances with his mother and his youngest sister. What a gentleman, he aged like a fine wine. That´s how you do it, guys!

How can you not get emotional when you see this video, not only it is an ICONIC song, but when you see his kindness to his mother, his love and the way he treats her, and later to his baby sister, you do remember that family is the foundation of every good human being! I am your age and saw him in Cleveland during the Born In The USA tour. I think every 20something girl in the stadium hoped to get pulled up on stage to dance with him.

Omg - Mama Springsteen raised 3 musicians - Bruce and his two sisters. As a mother she is a legend.
I finished my apprenticeship in Newcastle this was the last song I spent with my lady before I jumped on the bike and headed back to Queensland
This song gave me my 15 minutes ( and much more ) of fame...in 1985 i attended a week long residential event hosted by the Prince's Trust, geared towards helping young people choose their career path...on the last day the then Prince Charles attended and a disco was set up in his honour...now I wanted to give my mum a surprise and asked the cameramen filming the event how I could get on TV...They said ask him( Prince Charles) to dance...The dj put this my favourite song at the time on and I thought to myself it's now or never, so I did ask him to dance and he did dance with me to this very song....my mum certainly got a surprise when she put the national news on and when she saw my photo of the occasion on the front page of The Times the next morning!...Thank you Bruce and King Charles for giving me my moment in the spotlight and my very unique claim to fame...✨️...Rest in peace Adele...🙏...we love you Bruce...💜

Bruce Springsteen was not in my favorites when I was in the middle of my life, being a young mother. Now I am 85 and I am hooked. Every evening I listen to the dancing in the dark, the rhythm of it is outstanding. When he was just getting stardom with his first edition, it makes me young again to listen to it,,,,now I am listen to the later version. It shows his energetic face and all his memories of stardom printed into it.I must be crazy, but I still love the very first version. It makes me think I am a teenager again. Thank You, Sir...!!!!!! I just had a hip replacement surgery and I recovered quickly, because I was dancinf in the dark holding on to my dinner table.Your music fan Karin .

The way Bruces goes to his mom and move his hand is something so pure and lovely. I am living in another city alone and this brings tears to my eyes because it makes me appreciate my mom. I miss her but I can’t wait to see her again. This performance is just magical. God’s love is present there.

I’m glad to see that there aren’t many negative comments about this Bruce performance! I am going on 70 now, and also a ‘Jersey Girl’, who grew up with this kind of music. Still today, I love ALL genres, and THIS is just one of many ‘classics’ imo. * I saw Coldplay in concert in ‘22, and at the very end Bruce came out as a surprise guest and did this song (and another one) with Chris Martin. It got a LOT of booing from the ‘younger’ audience and IDK why - they were both 👍 I thought!
