it's like when you shop for tech stuff you know you're never gonna buy, or browse setup pictures on the internet, and then you add another dimension of the LMG employees' characters and Linus and all the fun stuff. love itttttt
I could never let Linus in my house. It would be panic attack inducing. I own so little and he'd mock it all. Then promptly break something I couldn't replace.
@@5at5una My anxiety is pretty high without something like a video being made. I could have so many uses to better my life with a good pc for work and fun. But I do think I could do it. Especially the mocking as someone who is poor as well.
I think one of the things I love the most about these intel extreme upgrades is Linus learning and getting angry at his employees for everything about their lives.
With how much he pays out on people for even the smallest amount of dirt, I would literally turn my whole house upside down before filming day and clean EVERYTHING. My shit would be cleaner than that Intel microprocessor fab he toured.
lol this isnt his last "end game". i thought my endgame was a 120 dollar base kit, turns out i needed to buy 3 more 500+ boards to find my endgame... and im still not satisfied lol
Biggest lie in the hobby, lmao. Endgame is getting to build keyboards for others and being able to charge enough to make it worth your time. I built some unattainable keyboards (like, literally 5 figures) for free before, there's a few around I'd still build for free, but since people who buy those buy them to flex so they send them to the big streamers I stopped.
I cannot believe someone can make such a big mess in a single room of that size. It hurts just to look at it, having to be in that place for a few days would turn me insane...
I love how even Linus doesnt want to fit all those hard drives in in a such a jank way. Im with you Linus, I'll do a lot to make things easier but thats a bit too far XD
Best part is watching Linus riffle through all this employee's personal stuff totally without boundaries and with no restraint. And then changing how they literally do everything in their setup and the computer activities.
Just a note on the screw driver. Put some "extended" bits with it or a smaller precision screw driver in the set with it. Its very common for some screws to be deep in a hole and having those small bits into hex end wont go in far enough down the hole to extract screw. I see this allot on Laptops, controllers that kinda thing. Sunk in screws suck.
Especially relevant for keyboards. Saw another youtuber who scratched up the anodization on a new board because the bit was too wide for the screw well.
I also felt a little offended when Linus said his place was filled with "all kinds of weird stuff" and it's literally just a wall of Unstable basic lands. Like wtf those are some of the best best basics in magic.
I think Linus meant like ash residue and discoloration from that. I have my own and the very tip is definitely well blackened by now and scrubbing doesn't make it come off either.
With how much Nick tinkers with keyboard parts, I wonder what kind of work he could do with arcade stick buttons. There are some that use keyboard switches.
Tbh, for the most part you won't notice the characteristics of the switch. I built my stick with Crown 301/302s? that use keyboard switches. But since the pushbutton itself rubs so much against the housing, you don't get much benefit from lubing or using different switches.
Bro this guy rules. He has great taste in keyboards. I see that Zoom65 he's using, nice spare switches, and the ones he's not using are cool. The John Avon full art prints are sick too. Linus simply doesn't understand.
At 24:38 the issue with this argument that I hear all the time (I've been into customs for like 3 years now) is that it's not an equal comparison. The keyboard KIT cost u 200$, add in around 40$ for switches and lube (not to mention the time it takes to lube them), 20$ for a kit of stabs, a random 10$ usb-c cable, keycaps are gonna run you anywhere from 50-100$ and now suddenly your argument of "But it's only 200!! Logitech, Razer, whatever have boards that cost that much!!" well no, because now the keyboard is 300-360$. People who are into customs need to stop with the absolute BAIT of "It's only x" when x is only talking about the cost of the case, pcb, and plate.
While that can be the case for some keyboards, not this one. Zoom65 is a complete package that comes with prelubed switches, stabs, and keycaps. Some keyboards can absolutely be wild in pricing but there is absolutely budget friendly and beginner friendly options out there.
You realize that not every keyboard in the customs hobby has to be some gasket-mount, super flex-cut, CNC aluminum with brass weight artpieces with GMK keycaps + artisans and frankenstein switches right? There's a whole sub-culture in customs that don't mind stuff like tray mount and find boards like the GK61 or Womier K61 that are sub-$100 for pre-assembled kits as budget messiahs, are fine with more budget-centric dye-sub keycaps that are around $30, and pretty much are able to make something great out of basic gateron yellows and the stock stabs with just some extra lube for an extra $10 vial of K205g0 that will last them multiple keyboards. You can buy an SK68 with gateron optical switches, do the bare minimum of lubing the switches and stock stabs (+$10 if you get durocks, ooh so bad) and put in even paper towel into the case as a foam substitute and still have a really great gateway drug into customs for literally sub-$60, where you'll more than likely otherwise find cheapo Reddragon keyboards with Outemu switches or "mechanical feel" keyboards in that price range. Even some of the top creators in the keyboard space admit to the pointlessness of paying excess amounts on those kinds of things, they and the majority of the community know that anything more than the basics is just luxury. In spite of that though, the more we do fund and adapt these upper tier keyboards by dedicated designers with more "luxury" features like mounting styles or profiles, south-facing switches etc, the higher quality we will have at the lower range for similar quality in the future because *somebody* will want to adapt that popularity at a lower cost to open up to a larger audience and rake in more profit than the "end-game" keyboard designers. Just a couple years ago a really good top-tier aluminum TKL with top-mount was several hundreds of dollars, and now you can get a Keychron Q3 which has fair gasket mounting and a really good capability to sound good being a $200 option even during this hell of a recession. You just have to look, and more often than not, not for very long to find something that's great for the price.
Plus he already admitted to one board being roughly $500 and it was missing over half the keys, and having $80 single keys for like spacebar. Like Jesus christ.
@ 4:26 I have a Jelly Key as well, mine is my tab key. Super neat to see another keeb nerd on the LTT team I've also got a GameBoy keycap as my escape key, with north facing LED's it lights up the screen, so cool.

this should cheer you up...Rx 5700XTt's are $300 buy it now price on Ebay...$200 for a 5600 XT(throws confetti in the air)
it's like when you shop for tech stuff you know you're never gonna buy, or browse setup pictures on the internet, and then you add another dimension of the LMG employees' characters and Linus and all the fun stuff. love itttttt
I could never let Linus in my house. It would be panic attack inducing. I own so little and he'd mock it all. Then promptly break something I couldn't replace.
even for 5k upgrade?
Makes me glad New York State is so far from Linus. Social security disability doesn't pay enough for me to pay for the damage.
well at least you got a baller computer out of it.
@@5at5una My anxiety is pretty high without something like a video being made. I could have so many uses to better my life with a good pc for work and fun. But I do think I could do it. Especially the mocking as someone who is poor as well.
I feel like Linus mainly mocks people who’s got a lot of redundant useless crap. Not a lack of things.
The pain Linus expresses with the HDD situation is real. Had me rolling.
This guy lives like I wanna live
Full of questionable decisions but total confidence
you know he doesnt have a partner lol his house looks like my house with all hobby shit in every corner haha
I think one of the things I love the most about these intel extreme upgrades is Linus learning and getting angry at his employees for everything about their lives.
The amount of employees you have who can go _months_ without using a vacuum cleaner is blowing my mind!
With how much he pays out on people for even the smallest amount of dirt, I would literally turn my whole house upside down before filming day and clean EVERYTHING. My shit would be cleaner than that Intel microprocessor fab he toured.
Well, I mean I haven't vacuumed in a decade or so. I just mop.

vampire survivors is so fun and they have been adding so much so quickly. These videos are so great, this series was such a good idea.
This episode has me cracking up hard! Love the rabbit hole that Nick has gone down with the keyboard mods. Respect.
4:04 "This is my endgame!", yet a true keyboard enthusiast knows he will be back for more soon.
lol this isnt his last "end game".
i thought my endgame was a 120 dollar base kit, turns out i needed to buy 3 more 500+ boards to find my endgame... and im still not satisfied lol
"This is my endgame keyboard!"
2 weeks later
"This is my new endgame keyboard!"
2 more weeks later
"Oh damn new switches?"
When I heard that phrase I was like "Ive definitely said that a few times before..." LOL
"I want to spend a lot of money, and the result to look like shit" - everything this guy is into
Exactly what I was thinking. It's like he read the first 5 top posts of every hobby subreddit and said yep good enough.
I cannot believe someone can make such a big mess in a single room of that size. It hurts just to look at it, having to be in that place for a few days would turn me insane...

This will be one of the most memorable Extreme Tech Upgrades.
Best part is watching Linus riffle through all this employee's personal stuff totally without boundaries and with no restraint. And then changing how they literally do everything in their setup and the computer activities.
...and people on UA-cam complained when they were sassy or uncomfortable with that.
24:37 linus realizing he just unleashed the keyboard demon by saying that "mine's more expensive" line
Always hyped to see a new intel extreme tech upgrade video come out!
@DONT go to my home page! nah
Sunk in screws suck.
counter sunk screws >>>>>>>> screws half an inch down a hole 🤦♂️
Especially relevant for keyboards. Saw another youtuber who scratched up the anodization on a new board because the bit was too wide for the screw well.
@@urmom-_ Except you don't know what hes talking about...
Nick’s face when Linus is trying to put the panel down is hilarious
Linus’ character flaw of dropping things is one of the most beneficial things that makes his content incredible. It’s amazing. 😅
As a budding keyboard enthusiast, MTG player, and vinyl collector I feel personally attacked. And thoroughly entertained. Can't wait for the next one!
I also felt a little offended when Linus said his place was filled with "all kinds of weird stuff" and it's literally just a wall of Unstable basic lands. Like wtf those are some of the best best basics in magic.
Linus: Do you even use the dough shovel? It's suspiciously clean
Also linus after seeing the some remains: this is gross
I think Linus meant like ash residue and discoloration from that. I have my own and the very tip is definitely well blackened by now and scrubbing doesn't make it come off either.
I like seeing you treat your employees. It feels good seeing everyone so excited and playful.
if the editors didn't mess with the image and Linus really typed with 69% consistency that is hilarious
"Some of those are several hundred dollars." Ah, budget magic.

As someone who buys several collections per year and plays weekly, for most $100+ cards are actually pretty special. Most collections don't have them.
RPCS3 also heavily leverages TSX support. I remember unlocking TSX functionality in my 4690k to get better performance.
I know, right.
@@duckadence What about the Hitbox variant that uses keyboard buttons?
@@Neoxon619 If you're talking about the mixbox, then it's basically a keyboard WASD
Bro this guy rules. He has great taste in keyboards. I see that Zoom65 he's using, nice spare switches, and the ones he's not using are cool. The John Avon full art prints are sick too. Linus simply doesn't understand.
I love how the LMG team is just a bunch of madmans. Amazing chaotic energy, what i absolutely need.
Is $200 and $300 really a big difference?
@@bbking006 that’s 50% my guy. Almost a completely different target market.

@@TR-qf2gt that and the fact when people call us out, we would only say stuff like "Yes I know it was a bad financial decision but I will definitely do it again" xD.

@@Seskoi For anyone reading this, if it isn't profitable to mine, but you think the value of whatever is going to go up. It's better to just straight up buy the coin. Not hating on anyone who likes crypto. But it doesn't make sense to mine a coin if your cost of electricity is higher.
@@ivibivivgig6425 I’m still mining ETH with 36 GPUs at home and I’m profitable. $52 per day profit on avg, 2.3 Gigahash total hashrate. until the ETH devs fk us over and switch to PoS (yes proof of stake has the same acronym as piece of sh*t, that’s what it will be at that point) so I don’t think your blanket statement about buying the coin makes sense, those who mined thru the last bear market came out on top because they yield so much more of the coin in downtimes, and that coin multiplies in value like crazy on the next bull run, which will come sometime in late 2024 MAYBE 2023 if we are lucky. I would advise anyone interested in mining to consider getting into it during the bear, hardware is cheaper, everything is just easier because there’s less noise and less distractions. It’s fun!
