No but airlines recommend it. As for Southwest, they require their FOs to turn on a fuel pump for the APU, then the CA turns on all the pumps during his preflight.
kid, imma be frank with you... if someone were to pull a circuit breaker because the sound of that instrument "got on your nerves", you would no longer be employed at that company. And you would probably we looking at certificate action taken against you by the FAA since the standby altimeter is 100% required for IFR flight.

But to call a plane delivered in 2018 outdated is dumb. Am I an expert in 737 systems? No. Do I know a lot more about it than the average Joe? Of course. You don't have to be an expert on something to speak about it. They would be disastrous.

You should do that again and do the captain's flows. They are usually very nice. It's a pretty long flow and you get to hit almost every button lol
