Hi Joe, Nice video. In fact that was one of my weak points in the Type Rating training. In fact I would add that the FPV really did not help me that much instead the pipper, with in the 2.5 and 5 degrees pitch lines really did more for me. The FPV would only distract a lot seeing that the perspective is lower than the pipper in the Steep Turn. Another thing is always have your aircraft well trimmed and be prepared to use a bit of muscle on the NG. Thanks Joe, keep those tips coming...
Thank you. I've been inconsistent on the steep turns in the B1900 (in aircraft) for my PPC. This helped tremendously and hopefully will nail this exercise on the check ride tomorrow.
Hey Joe, Again a very subtle explanation. BTW as i guess you know I've been following you for a quite long time (Almost 2 years i guess) and i feel like You and Juan are the best instructors I've ever seen. The presentation skill, The quality of instruction. It's just no match. Till now i was just a Flight Sim pilot and an aviation enthusiast, But now I'm finally starting my aviation career for CPL. Hence, Please give me some of your suggestion which can help me learn the best out of my training. Any suggestion that you think you would tell a student pilot which can help him for his whole training and rest of the career. Thanks and keep uploading such great videos. Looking forward to the day when I'll genuinely need you guys with A320. Regards.
Can you show a 20 or 30 degree turn with bothe the system display and the control column from the side so we see exactly how much input is needed in a turn? Best regards Jacob
Hmm. Doesn’t the VSI, or even an IVSI, lag too much to become that big of a focus in your rapid scan? Maybe better to focus on the artificial horizon with rapid crosschecks to the altitude.
You forgot to mention the power setting , After starting the turn you have to add about 5% N1 to maintain the speed.
Beautiful so beautiful way to explain it you make it look so easy and simple please keep the good work -

All the best!
really good tip
FPV is king here. Love that thing.
Great video
Buddy many thanks for this useful input but please explain about trim inputs during this turns? Would be great

Thank you! Look forward to working with you!
Do you guys do the B737-800 type or you offer only training prep for a type rating?

Howsit Joe, What are your ball park N1 thrust settings?
thanks a lot !😊
Do you use the rudder pedals for steep turns on jets?
Nope

What s your power setting for the steep turns?
Hey man..great tips. How would you coach for a 757 classic gauge layout or 733 panel.? How much thrust do you bump past 30 deg on the NG?
Always +5% N1 above level flight N1. Hope that helps! Checkout our online ground school at 1StepPrep.com for many more tips!
The GWPS may activate if overbanking. (BANK ANGLE)
its a steep turn maneuver, not a standard turn with company rules and passengers
Steep turns are funny. Fly ten within limits and look like a stud. The eleventh one may still make you look stupid.
