    The carrying case is useful, reveals equipment for testing. Retains lid and holds leads. Would be nice to see a case for multimeters that do the same and hold additional leads like clips and thermocouples, so case is an extension of the test equipment.

      Agreed. I used a generic case for a clamp meter for the very purpose of storing extra test leads and alligator clips. I can't stress enough the usefulness of alligator clips in the field.

      Thanks for watching sir. Yes, the IR4057 has a voltage measurement function, like a digital multimeter. It can test voltage of commercial AC power, minimum of 30V up to 600V. DC voltage up to 600V. More details here: www.hioki.com/sg-en/products/insulation-testers/5-range/id_5941

    Do you know if this Hioki could possibly cause a pin in a separator of a lithium ion battery by 250V?

      @@hadukennatorHDUKEN www.accessfrontier.net/ that's their online address. Just use the Contact Us link for information on phone numbers/ how to get in touch with them. I ordered my instruments from them before the pandemic without visiting their physical store. Terms of purchase may have changed since then. It may be possible to visit their office. I suggest you contact them directly first for availability of instruments, quotation, terms of payment, etc. PS. I am not affiliated in any way with them. This is for information only.

    Do you know if this could cause a pin hole in a separator bag of a lithiumion battery by trsting with 250v?

    • @ramschannelreviews
      @ramschannelreviews  3 роки тому

      Hello. You asked if the Hioki 4057 could punch a pin hole at 250V DC test voltage on a separator material used in Lithium ion batteries? I regret I don't know if such a test is possible or safe as I am not familiar with it. In practice, the instrument should not damage any electrical insulation material under test at only 250V. But I cannot say for certain how DC insulation test voltages would affect the particular separator materials you mentioned.
