I’d have to say ME2, though I love all of them for what they do well. 1 was the best for roleplaying and worldbuilding, 2 had the best characterization of squadmates and 3 had the best development of Shephard and his relationships. I even enjoyed andromeda for what it did well, though it’s not as good as the Trilogy.
Hot take, but mine is 3. But that might be because I'm a vanguard main... I still don't like the the ending, but citadel DLC is probably the most mass effect thing that has ever mass effected, and I LOVE it.

Can't stand the company, but they own some good IPs. Don't forget, Larian made BG3 for WotC and it's one of the best games ever. As long as WotC is just signing the checks and don't have any interference in it, it could be good.

I think the “chosen one” trope is a bit over used and the fact they didn’t go with that in mass effect was what I think made the story so good. Shepherd was just a guy in the first game no special then anyone else and even tho he wasn’t as physical powerful, smart, or bionicly powerful as other races he was the one to do the impossible. That’s what made the mass effect trilogy’s story so good and I don’t know if they can live up to it.
Hiring an A-list actor has usually spelled doom for a video game because most of the resources get spent on the actor and not the development of the game. That’s not a good sign or anything to applaud.
It depends, sometimes the actor is actually a gamer and wanted to join the project because they are a fan of the developer and is attached to the game because they wanted to. So their fees are way less than standard. Especially for A list celebrity
Cyberpunk 2077 is great, and has some A-list celebs. BG3 has a few big names and it's amazing. Plenty of great games have big name actors. There is definitely a discussion to have regarding how Hollywood (and the game industry) puts too much emphasis on celebrities to get interest, where so many of them aren't good voice actors. But a celebrity on the cast isn't necessarily a problem.

I only recently played the ME trilogy (Legendary ver.), was a Halo junkie when this trilogy came out. I sincerely hope this new game will not be a bunch of hot air as I'm kinda hyped.
I am SO excited for this game!! The only thing I'm worried about (and it's a BIG worry) is that WOTC is involved in the game. I truly hope their involvement doesn't come back to bite the devs on the ass. So far it's sounding *really* promising though, and I'm looking forward to finally having another Sci-Fi story driven RPG game to sink my teeth into.
*_PLEASE NO INPUT DELAY THIS TIME!!!_* I was PREPARED to play the FUCK out of Mass Effect Andromeda's multiplayer, but HOLY GOD(MOTHERFUCKING)DAMN SHIT the input delay ruined it.
For me it was the dialogue and getting stuck on the space station for a week or two because a gamebreaking bug occurred which crashed the game if you entered the the hanger section.
The only thing that makes me skeptical is that Wizards is funding it 😅 Which is the reason I am more exited in the other new company founded by ex BioWare legends like Casey Hudson named Humanoid Origin.
This game could be the 2nd reason to finaly get a PS5. 1st one would be ME4, and the 3rd one might be "Crimson Desert", where I'm still pissed they cancelled the PS4 version.

Yeah I hear that alot. That could be true. My thoughts are though, the lead developer left Bioware because of the corporate drama and them interfering. He retired from game development. I don't believe he'd be back working on a game if he was getting the same treatment. He said they're green partners and aren't interfering. Honestly, this one is an emotional whiplash for me. Originally, when I heard about Archetype Entertainment being created, and hearing who were the ones creating it ( Ohlen with Karpyshyn for the writing ) I was hyped instantly. The REAL Bioware coming back together, and without EA's shackles ? Oh boy. Didn't even need to know what game they would make, I was planning to pre-order it as soon as it would be possible. Then they announced working on a game in space and basically pitched what Mass Effect is, so I went like " Oh, so, the Bioware guys left Bioware to make a new studio, so they can continue Mass Effect but without EA on their back to do it, that's great news " ( obviously, they're gonna need to change the name of the game, and modify the designs of the different species and all, since EA owns the IP, but I don't care about that, as long as it feels like ME, that's all I care about ) . It's Bioware under a new name, making games to face the soulless EA studio named Bioware where no real Bioware employees work anymore. That sounds fun. Showing that it's not the name on the door who makes the game, but the people working behind that door. Bioware isn't where there's a door with Bioware written on it, but where the Bioware people are working regardless of what the name on the door says. But then, I heard about it being owned by WotC, and then I was like " Uh-oh, that's worrying. Now it doesn't sound that good anymore... " . After that, they basically say like " WotC isn't involved, we're free to do stuff as we want, blah blah blah " , so I'm like " Knowing WotC I find that very hard to believe, but, alright, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt " . And then, they dropped the trailer that shows, who I would assume are, the 3 most important characters in the game ( the duo of the guy and the girl, and the older guy ) . The 3 of them look bad, the 3 of them would belong in MEA, that's how ugly their faces are, and, the 3 of them look very WotC friendly ( very DEI friendly ) . Gotta be honest, since seeing those trailers, I cancelled my plans to pre-order it, don't even know if I'll buy it anymore... What was the point of getting EA off their back, if they're going in the arms of a company who is just as DEI friendly ( if not more ) than EA is... That's not the kind of stuff I wanna support financially. I'll be keeping an eye on it from a distance until it releases, just in case, but man, my hype dropped down to 0 since the release of these trailers. I'd like to say " I'm not worried about the writing, it's the characters models that gets me worried " , but, the thing is, I find it hard to believe that they would make such a pro DEI game visually, if they're not gonna write the game in a very DEI friendly way too... The ME series is my favorite of the RPG Sci-Fi genre. This is an EASY buy for me. It only requires a good story. However, if I see one effing pronoun, I'm out. I'm done with the modern day audience BS.
Hasbro is not under the same umbrella of Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro owns WotC, and it's also the reason why Larian is no longer involved in anything D&D related. I was really hyped for this game. Now knowing Hasbro is behind it I just they don't f*ck it up with their greed.
The team is good, but WOTC being involved is very concerning. They've proven they don't know their assholes from their elbows with how they mismanaged Larian and BG3.

I have not seen anything from this game, but for experience, I can say. This is gonna be trash. A team, coming from a company who dedicated at least 5 teams to a game, with millions back in the effort, and several, powerfull engines from the house, tries to release a clone of what they previously tried to do and failed (Mass Effect failed at ME3) with much less resources, a 10% of the people and a poorly made up, half cooked engine. When you see "from the new studio with the people that made this great franchise, doing a clone of what we did before" be sure it's gonna be a mediocre release at best.

The ME series is my favorite of the RPG Sci-Fi genre. This is an EASY buy for me. It only requires a good story. However, if I see one effing pronoun, I'm out. I'm done with the modern day audience BS.

Hasbro is not under the same umbrella of Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro owns WotC, and it's also the reason why Larian is no longer involved in anything D&D related. I was really hyped for this game. Now knowing Hasbro is behind it I just they don't f*ck it up with their greed.

After the trashgames DO:I, MA:Andromeda and Anthem i don't believe Bioware is still capable of making good games, so i have no hopes for this :(
The team is good, but WOTC being involved is very concerning. They've proven they don't know their assholes from their elbows with how they mismanaged Larian and BG3.

I have not seen anything from this game, but for experience, I can say. This is gonna be trash.
A team, coming from a company who dedicated at least 5 teams to a game, with millions back in the effort, and several, powerfull engines from the house, tries to release a clone of what they previously tried to do and failed (Mass Effect failed at ME3) with much less resources, a 10% of the people and a poorly made up, half cooked engine. When you see "from the new studio with the people that made this great franchise, doing a clone of what we did before" be sure it's gonna be a mediocre release at best.
if dragon age is anything to go by then this new mass effect game will be woke trash
