How to do that CRAZY “Build Up Loop” Transition!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 січ 2019
- The Loop Sync Transition involves using loops, the tempo fader, and Sync, to create a seamless transition that can go either up or down the BPM scale as a build up or a break down.
It’s a flexible transition that won’t ruin the vibe of the party, and can gradually increase or lower the energy of the night 🕺🏼

So for this tutorial we’re going to use two songs.
The one on the left is the song we’re going to be transitioning from. It’s a trap song in the 80 BPM range, and we’ll refer to this as the current song,
And the song on the right is song we’re going to transition to. It’s an EDM in the 130 BPM range, and we’ll refer to this as the next song.
So the idea is to first play the current song, then ready the intro section of the next song, and with the tempo fader match the BPM of the next song with it.
In case you can’t reach the current songs BPM, make sure your tempo range is set to wide.
Next step now is to press sync on the next track even though you already matched the bpms, then make a 1 beat loop on a section in the current song and at the same time, play the next song.
Now, where you loop is up to you but i personally make a loop at the vocal section of the current song after the chorus.
Now once this happens, slowly bring the tempo fader of the current song closer to the next songs base BPM.
So in our case, it’s 130 BPM so we’ll bring the tempo fader up very slowly and gradually until we reach the end of the next songs intro.
So that’s the basic transition, but if you wanna take it up a notch;
Try disabling key lock on the current song. And when you transition to the next song, activate an echo effect on it, and filter it as you bring the tempo fader either up or down the BPM scale.

Thanks for this crazy transition😂
Carlo i saw your redbull 3style video.. it was crazy. I wish you could make a video about beat juggling with a entry level controller like the DDJ-400. Thank you🔥🔥
That loop and build up is epic, i dont have a controller but i am doing loop for transition everytime on a laptop with filter or flanger effect, ayus eto dj carlo, different bpm mine is same bpm. Will practice this soon 🔥🎧 Happy New Year!
Good transition video.
Siiiick bro 🔥🔥
Every video gets better and better. Just wondering can you do the same thing on a DDJ RB
Quite simple, but very effective and seamless! Good job! 😎 also my idea to the next video is that Laidback Luke loop-pitch trick, I commented about that couple videos earlier. It should be awesome ✌😎
And thats it, just what i needed. Thanks buddy once again.
@@djcarlo Sure brother, but one more thing, Can you please make the video of How to do song selection according to venues (Clubs, Party, Events, and so on) & Genres as a beginner.
Cool!👍
Awesome!!!! Now I know a good start point with those buttons lol!!!!!
Haha! Good for you! I wish you all the best!
Cool Video
Cool transition mate
thank u!
i do that and i do it a the intro so i switch the song on the drop, its risky move but doing right brings party into the other level
Thank you for this video sir
@@djcarlo 😄
Love your video, very helpful. One question: why did you adjust the tempo of the next song using the fader and then use sync after it? After the transition it‘s still set in the minus range.
Ganda talaga ng disk.
Thanks for the great video! Are you adding echo on the song you are transitioning from, the one you are transitioning to, or both?
Your vids are super helpful !🙏🏼😊
Glad you like them! Yay! Thank you!
Thank you alot sir
You're welcome bud! Can't wait for you to use these transitions!

Hi Carlo, Thanks For The amazing tutorial! I have a question: it is possible to get a wide bpm in traktor pro 3? I’m using it with a traktor kontrol S2mk2. Thanks again 😉
Wow thanks for this Carlo, you never disappoint 😭. Do you think you can do a video on crate or folder organization please?
@@djcarlo Thank you!!!
Does he/ do you disable the keylock in the build up? didn't get it completely. But thank you for all these awesome videos!
hi Carlo, thank you for the helpful tutorial . I have a question that how can I count ( or set up) the beat to make sure it connect nicely with other songs ( the tip for next song from 4:28 ) thanks
I watched all your videos.. And it helped me out..
Please show me a way
I use Serato Dj Pro with Numark NS 7III
I've tried unsuccessfully to set the tempo range to wide as you've shown in the video. Do you have any idea if this particular controller features that setting ?
By the way love your tutorials
Dj Carlo is so cool
Hehehe. Thank you so much! Woot!
Wow it is a powerful trick and Seem pretty easy
Thank you! Keep on creating good music!
I use this same trick, but I bring up the tempo fader on the incoming track instead of bring up the current track after the loop. I find that once I switch, the incoming track’s tempo fader is back in the middle
