@@djcarlo u right :DD Btw Carlo, I really appreciate your help and contribution to the DJ world, and generally speaking, your knowledge is goldworth! Keep it that way man we all love you
Thank you for the breakdown. I realized I've been learning a lot from your videos, and I was able to follow along a lot better this time around. I can't wait to try this transition!
@@djcarlo Sure brother, but one more thing, Can you please make the video of How to do song selection according to venues (Clubs, Party, Events, and so on) & Genres as a beginner.
Can you do a video on tips/tricks to go back to the base bpm of a track smoothly, after transitioning to it from as track that had a very different BPM?
the "Sync" is just a button that helps. You must be within like 10 bpm to use anyway. There is nothing wrong with abusing something that your controller came with. Sure a few of those controllers or software that litterally beatmatches, transitions, finds songs and some other things that basically make you have to do nothing are a bit annoying when djs use them. But the "sync" button just makes the bpm the same. Nothing wrong with it, Just makes the beat matching process faster, it is not cheating at all
Watching your excellent videos triggers me to get out and buy controller in a heartbeat :) I sold my Nexus1 setup last year (long story - I thought NXS3 is coming out and sold my “old” players and mixer, then while I was waiting, I made big mistake and bought Denon SC5000/X1800 and returned it after 5 days). Now, I’m without any equipment, still waiting for those NXS3 :)
Really late comment after 4 years 🤣 But why do you change back to Pioneer? Yeah i know it's Club standard, and i'm on FLX6, but i'm planing a x1850 and sc6000. So whats the reason for that? Is Pioneer worth that money? 🤷
Great tutorial. What happens when your want to reset the tempo of deck B when it's already at 128? If I pulled the tempo back down to it's original spot, would the tempo stay at 128 on the right side?
You'll just need to switch over the master sync to the deck that's playing, so it'll ensure the song playing doesn't suddenly dip or speed up in tempo.
Hi Carlo, thank you for all the incredible content. Could I please request you to create a video on music management, how do you store your music, how do you organize them (by genre, by language or not), how do you playlist music, and finally how do you prune your library, please?
@@djcarlo I tried stems VDJ and It’s pretty dope, but I’ve been looking at Serato and had many friends tell me about it, so watching you on here I got motivated and I’m lovin it! I just need to upgrade to a newer MacBook Pro or Air.
Got issues where the BPm jumps to double or half bpm? Check this fix: There is an option in control/deck/Beat/BPM SYNC. For people having that issue just untick the "Allow BEAT/BPM SYNC with double/half BPM" or whatever it says in English. Got the Swedish version.
Hmmm, I wouldn't recommend using this one for going from higher to lower BPMs. Easiest way is to play the faster song at exactly twice the BPM of the lower one, and mix from there. For ex: From 130, you can mix into 65 BPM
Hi! great video , thanks. sometimes it doesn't work. when the Master is 128 and synced track is 90, press sync: Synced track becomes 64. I understand that Sync will alter the BPM to the nearest compatible BPM, 64 is closer to 90 than 128 is, so it changes the BPM to 64. is there a way to solve it without doing the math ?
Carlo i saw your redbull 3style video.. it was crazy. I wish you could make a video about beat juggling with a entry level controller like the DDJ-400. Thank you🔥🔥
I use this same trick, but I bring up the tempo fader on the incoming track instead of bring up the current track after the loop. I find that once I switch, the incoming track’s tempo fader is back in the middle
@@djcarlo no I’m new at learning to DJ and I bought an FLX10 as my first controller so I’m trying to learn the Rekordbox software and controller.
