You might want to watch Sandi Brock during lambing and set up a kit like she has, in case you have to help. In her kit she has things like 2 different gloves (short and long), lube, iodine, pain medication (Metacam) in case of difficult labor, Oxytocin to help help clean out ewe in case she doesn’t on her own, and a milking device and bottle in case mama won’t let baby nurse. Gloves help to protect the ewe and keep you from introducing bacteria into your ewe. You may also want an antibiotic in case you do have to help. Also, you should probably dip the umbilical cords in iodine directly after they’re born. It helps keep the lambs from getting joint ill. You might check with your vet about vaccinating your herd, with Glanvac, which will help keep them healthy. Congratulations on the new lambs, they’re absolutely adorable!
