I have been working on motocross engines for almost 10 years, and I just bought my first CNC mill and will be getting 2 more manual mills and a lathe this week to make MX parts. Watching these videos is like heaven on earth to me.
Nice work, looks better than new . In my experience, the CRF seems to be prone to top end issues , at best they like the valves to be set just right ,or they can be a dog to start . I also have KTM SX ,no problems there, and it out performs the CRF in every test . Thanks for a very professional video. Respect from Down Under
Should have washed and cleaned the head (carbon deposit) and honed guide to valve stem before installing new valve seals. But you have talent and tools for the talent! Great video!
I loved that machining part but not so much that welding part, porosity all over the weld. I know it gets a sleeve but this part could've been done better in my opinion. Great tools and that boring attachment for your mill looks awesome!
@@PaulXchannel you make great videos, I like the format and the music was great! 👍 And the porosity can be seen at 11:39, 11:41 and 11:45. That particular cylinder head was probably okay, however if I would’ve finish mu job like that my boss would fire me 😂😂
The head must be made of unobtainium! Or your labor is free. Time to buy a new head along with the rest of the bad parts. But your video is worth watching. Thanks.
Super nice but ? Mill quill on angle is a pain. Why do you not prefer head mounted to sine plate. Locate pin with quill at perpendicular to table top adjust sine plate perpendicular to pin? Curious Thanks
can you show detail about stator crf250r... some people can make the stator to charge the battery .. and till now i never seen on anywhere people do about that crf250r stator 😁😁
I think this aluminium head will expand with a heat, is this not too tight clearance between the bush and the valve cup? It look like it's less than 0.01 in your video. Thank you.
YEA there is going to be a lot of indicator movement on a slip fit pin locating the valve guide. Why cant you get a descent finish on aluminum. Ever heard of a thermal fit for the sleeve. You can BS the average guy but to a tool and die maker you have a lot to learn.

Belíssimo trabalho, muito rico em detalhes. Uma verdadeira aula. 👏👏 Ansioso para assistir a parte 2.
Exactly the same thing happened to me. How did it happen? Bad valve?

Faszinierend!!!
Some doubt that the sleeve glued with Loctite will stay in place for a long time.
Man I love how perfect you got that bucket to fit. It’s almost like you’ve done this once before? Lol
Wasnt there a giant crack at the opposite side of the weld?
Excelente video gracias
Thanks
Is a new head not cheaper than the shop time?
Good video, but waaaay to many comercials.. Charge more for your skilled work , and hold back on the adds 😎
How much do you charge for this service?
Sangarr broo👍👍
Excelente trabajo
Good worke
And what happens at temperature when the loctite loosens and the sleeve goes loose?
Don't worry.
This Loctite holds well even at high temperatures.
¡¡Qué calidad!!
Nice work, but you forgot to ream the new valve guide after pressing it in.
