Thanks for the vid. Was in the middle of mowing and had the choke sticking. Watched your video and had everything I needed here. Got it running in minutes.
Hi , two thumbs up A+ my hubby and I followed your instructions it worked like a charmed. Our lawn mower is back in service and working. Thank you. Keep up the good work . 😊
Just had this happen to a customers lawnmower. Took me a bit to figure out what the issue was, good video man! I didn’t know you could spray WD40 in there, so I’m gonna do this today so it’s really easy for that choke to open and close on its own. The filtration design sucks on these mowers lol. Keeps getting dirt and causing it to get stuck. Thanks again sir! 🫡
Useful video but try mounting the camera on a tripod to keep it still. Note that WD40 is not a lubricant. If you want to lubricate small moving parts, use bicycle or sewing machine oil.
I have one with same carb. I adjusted the governors spring to raise the rpm’s. Choke looks closed when looking down the cover that holds the air filter. Not sure it is completely closed. I should mention I did leave a little tension on the spring. Now it takes 4-5 pretty good pulls to start it. Should I readjust the governor and leave a little slack in the spring? I check governor spring and saw it had no effect on the choke. I adjusted the bracket from the thermistor and bent the piece the carb attaches to to make sure the choke closes completely. Started it one time on first pull just long enough to know it would start. I also widened the gap on the plug just a slight amount Wanted to set the plug gap at .30 but did not find the right feel gage blade. I used a .25 and spread just a little bit. It is a non resistor plug.
I got the opposite problem. The mower fires up quick when cold, but the choke stays on. Then it doesn't want to start warm till I stick a screwdriver in the in the carburetor.
Mine isnt stuck open the butterfly is the way its supposed to be but i still have to spray fuel to the carb for it to start? Once it starts it runs fine though. What could be that issue

Nice video. Can wait for the next one. Great tips an enjoy your advice
The chock level could be touching the side of bracket
This will make it stick also
Might grind it down a tad
This was causing my 725Exi choke to stick closed. I put a slight bend in the metal bracket to allow a small clearance between it and the choke lever.

I don't have this issue, yet. But at least now I know how. I didn't know how these auto choke carbs worked. Thanks!

I have a 500e Briggs and Stratton push mower, spark is there, cleaned the fuel tank and the carburetor and still won't start, need yr help

is there a way to get that shaft out? Mine is completely jammed and wont even move with force
Don’t even mess with it just buy a new carburetor

Dirty needle , Or seat or gas leak. There is air somewhere getting in the line more than likely
Mine isn't stuck and it starts right up first pull. Problem is that it surges constantly. How do I fix that? I have this exact same model
I don't know what you use but had I hit that rubber gasket with carb cleaner it would have swelled and been unusable
Designed to be in a dealer service department each and every year wow
Auto Choke is kicking my butt was running fine then shuts off until it is cold again
Plactic the new age crap.
