Ooo boy... where do I begin? I started losing hair around 17 (I’m 22 now). I suffered through the whole hiding my balding with hats and treatments until I was 21. Parents didn’t understand what I felt, so I was on my own. Being stuck inside cause of the pandemic was when I had enough and buzzed it for the first time. Over time, I continue to buzz my hair, and the time is fast approaching for me to plunge into full baldness. This is all thanks to this channel!

The only way to live well with baldness is to have a good mindset. That's why I think that shaving your head is useless. You don't need to shave your head several times a week to have a good state of mind. You might as well not shave and accept yourself as you are.

Hi baldcafe, just wanted to say I really like your channel and admire your positive attitude. What I respect you the most is that instead of choosing the multi billion dollar hair loss prevention/hair restoration industry to make yourself a rich person (trust me mate, you got the look to be a cover boy for any top hair transplant clinic in the world), you are encouraging all men to shrug it off, accept what life has to offer gracefully and move on. I was born with a big forehead thanks to my family gene pool and I’m always self conscious of it. A full head of hair is extremely important to me. I guess there is no shame to admit this and people have the right to do what is best for themselves. BTW, if I were to have your accent and a killer jawline that looks great with or without hair. I would NOT mind either way ! :)

I have buzzed my head for convenience's sake many times, and it feels so good to have nothing on the noggin to worry about, so when my time comes, I will embrace it. This is something I would recommend for guys who still have their luscious locks: Try the buzzcut at least once and get an idea of what you would look and feel like if/once your hair starts falling out!

I think its very individual issue. Not all hair loss are the same. I lost most my hair in less than 2 years because of autoimmune condition scarring alopecia lichen planopilaris. When I say lost most my hair I mean scalp hair, leg hair, underarm hair and I'm fighting to keep my eyebrows(the disease just destroys the hair). For 27 years old guy its a trauma for life. I don't think I'll ever going to overcome it. Literally scars will remain physically and mentally. Meanwhile I'm on many not so nice medications to stop the disease- isotretinoin, prednisone, Finasteride 3mg,topical steriods, steriods injections to scalp and eyebrows. I'm not going to succumb to this disease. There are moments I envy all these guys losing their hair gradually over years in MPB fashion.. I lost most mine under two years(hundreds everyday).

Just want to say a huge thanks to you, and your channel. After 25 years I finally took the plunge and cut my hair.. shaved it all off and it feels so much better! I’ve had long hair for over 25 years, it had a few trims in that time, but it was always waist length or just above..It was starting to get thin and receding and I was developing a bald latch on top.. Hardly anyone in my life currently has seen me with anything but long hair, so it was a huge deal to shave it all off, but I’m so glad I did. With your videos, and watching other men go through the same, it gave me the courage to go for it. I made a video on my channel showing the moment my life changed for the better if anyone wants to see what 25 years worth of hair disappearing looks like! If I can give courage to just one other person in the same situation, it would all be worth it even more.

Once I completed shaved off my hair, I thought to myself “why didn’t I do this earlier on!” I grew a thicker, darker beard, started running and felt more confident in myself and it reflected in my professional life and personal life. Hey, just a quick question. Did you or anybody else here had problems with CVG? I am 22 years old and I noticed that I'm going bald about two years ago. A week ago I decided to shave my head, and see how it looks like, even though I'm using Rogaine and some of my hair started to grow back, so I still have some years left until I'll be forced to shave. After I got fully bald, I finally had some peace with it, realizing that it's actually not that bad. I actually kinda like it, I even thought I might just keep shaving. But, there is a problem. My scalp is not smooth, I have some kind of waves/wrinkles. After some research, I found out that it is a condition called CVG (Cutis Verticis gyrata). After two years of feeling like the world just crushed on top of me, going through depression and losing my self-confidence, I finally felt a relief for about a minute, until I realized that its not over and now I have a new problem that I have to deal with. Anyone else experiencing this? Any advice, or treatment? I'm planning to see a doctor, but I wanted to see how common it is and how other people dealt with it. Thank you!

Now would you still look better with full hair? Probably if you had a really good style. Would you look better with balding hair? No, definitely not.
I think it's important to remember that for a huge number of men the choice is between trying to hide advanced balding or embracing it. With such a choice, embracing it always looks better and adds to confidence. I think a bald man looks way more confident than a man that is hiding balding. I think most guys fear what those around them will think about them being bald, so they hide it to try to keep the status quo a little longer. I also think balding makes us feel like we have lost some of that boyhood youth too, even though a significant number of guys start balding in their 20's or early 30's which is not old at all and being bald doesn't change that. If you want to preserve the hair you currently have the pharmaceutical route would be the way forward. I know that’s not what bald cafe is about but I’m 20 and every male in my family (mums and dads side) is bald. I started noticing thinning and early recession about 6 months ago hence I started the pharmaceutical route a few months ago, after serious consideration and research. I won’t be doing it forever but I want to hold on to what I have for a while hopefully🤞🏻.
Alternatively, just embrace being bald! That’s exactly what bald cafe is about! I know my time will come in the future 100% that’s why I follow bald cafe. So there’s definitely options bro! 💪🏻
