This is a definitive guide for men on how to go bald and completely accept it. Going bald is a tough road but it is one that has been successfully triumphed many times over. During my 6+ years of helping other men embrace their hair loss and get rid of the worry over going bald I noted that there was a recurring pattern. I share that journey with you now hoping that it can help free you from the burden of worrying about going bald.

Shave it off and be free from that comb over👍
Im bald at 16, honestly, your channel inspired me to rock it out, thank you so much Harry!
Your brave man, i had mine buzzed only recently and started losing it around age 25 and it took me 4 years to really accept it haha.
Same here at 24, im very self confident but my receding hairline was holding me down emotionally. been bald and free for a month now.Congrats on your journey!
Speed running confidence 101 👏 impressive
I am 16 and i am a norwood 3 on the scale, next year i will be a norwood 4 at this rate. Medications didn't work. It is wat it is
Had a widows peak in middle school and by the end of high school a huge portion was gone. Just own it man
Balding put me in such a dark place. It honestly scared me how much it was affecting my life. Then this man came out of nowhere with a UA-cam channel and told me everything would be OK. Being confidently bald has helped me meet my partner, change careers, and rediscover how enjoyable life can be without worrying about balding. Crazy to say - but from a butterfly effect perspective, shaving my head was the best thing I’ve ever done for my own wellbeing.
Being a white man in Asia has helped you meet your partner, not "being confidently bald". I'm pretty sure if we follow up on that diminutive Indian guy who did the "shave it for baldcafe" thing, he's still 100% an incel given that he can't do the WMAF cheat.
Just shaved last week, the most underrated thing about hair loss is the wind blowing through your hairless scalp
Shaving my head was hands down the best thing I have ever done!
Happy for you King. Onwards and prosper
You have literally changed my life Harry. Your content is what kept me away from that cesspit of what they call the hairloss industry. I had a choice, to continue down the rabbit hole of hairloss prevention or just push through. I've been buzzing for about 6 months now and honestly it's taken me till about now to finally be settled with it. I thought at first It would just completely go away all the fear and insecurity. But it took time. I now honestly don't care anymore. There have been so many times where I have pondered going back to try and saving my hair. There has been so many times of wanting to hold on. All the thoughts and fears creeping back in. But I just kept on pushing.
I look back at myself with hair and honestly I don't recognise that person anymore. I feel like going bald really exposes you. I feel a lot of people hide behind their looks, I sure did. But now I'm like fuck it. I don't care about the attention from women anymore. If I do get it I get waaaaayy more confidence because it's the real me. It makes me feel sexier. I think if you are struggling to transition with your knew look sometimes it just takes time. I honestly thought at one stage I was going to try and save my hair again, but I don't want to have my fears in the hands of a capitalist industry that preys on vulnerable people's insecurities. I'd rather just fucking deal with them head on myself. Stay strong bald gang 💪
Harry one thing you should touch on is negative reactions and how to deal with them. I had a few and it made me question my decision to go for the full shave. I ended up growing it back for another few years and just cut it for good last night. I think if I'd dealt better with the not so positive reactions then I would have stuck with it the first time.
This was brilliant - For me as a female (& a hairdresser) my “cope” was in reverse. Always hairstyles that were as close to bald as possible but still socially acceptable for a woman.
- Now I’m bald af & loving it! 😁✌🏽
Very happy for you. Thanks for sharing your experience. Do you follow “Women’s Hair Loss Project” here on YT? I thought some of her videos had a similar message to mine.
Will check her out - Thanks for the tip! ✌🏽
young bald guy here your videos have helped me out tremendously. i now proudly rock the baldie + beard combo. sending love brother
Right back to you king. Wish you nothing but the best moving forward. Go get it!
Answering the door for a parcel and putting a cap on 😂😂😂 I’ve done this so many times
Sorry to call you out like that king 😂
I was bald way before you, and worked my way to not giving a fuck, now when i see your videos im amazed of how your train of thoughts about it is similar to mine. I would advice to anyone balding to take his words to heart, cause it truly is as this guy says
Glad we could share in the experience 👍 All the best
Bro, good for you for monetizing this endeavor with the private group. You have honestly helped this cause more than anyone I know, you have spread so much positivity about the topic of baldness and I'm sure you will continue to do so. Thank you for doing this, for real!
Thank you man. Really appreciate it. I can’t seem to cease to stop trying to spread the word 😂 👍 All the best mate.
I usually never leave comments, but I just wanted to thank you. You are helping a lot of people.
Thank you Harry, your videos helped me 4 years ago to decide to shave my head and right now I'm a proud bald man 👏
Thank you for all the support in your videos. You really helped me take the leap to acceptance. Before I was thinking about it daily and what I could do to save my hair. Everything from pills, hair transplants, red laser therapy, and getting weekly hair cuts to hide my baldness. It's true that you feel free afterwards. Thank you again and keep encouraging the men out there.
Harry I was on your channel a couple of weeks ago and still watch you, keep up the great work pal you're making such a difference to guys
Great to have you as a part of it all brother 🙏
i love this kind of videos please keep doing this. yeah its good to see balding men stories but this kind of videos help mentally.
Harry , thank you so much for all the work you do you helped me so much with my hairloss and truly are an inspiration keep up the amazing work 😎 all the best !
Great video Harry! Been watching from the start, love a BaldCafe new video upload, cup of tea & snacks type thing !
Love your work man, keep up the good work. ❤❤❤❤
Long form content is 💯 - you're a great speaker mate
Appreciate this thank you. Going to drop a long pod very soon also 👍
What a legend! This is probably one of your best videos. Thank you for everything you're doing, and continue to do for men around the world🙌
Thank you man. felt really good to put this one out there and I hope it truly helps a lot of men. Thanks for the support.
Been watching and loving your content for years now. Shaved my head in 2018 found your channel some time after id dealt with my situation.
So I joined in solidarity of breaking down barriers not just with baldness but the promotion of mens mental health 👌
Having compassion and reaching out to help people struggling in life is an under appreciated quality. Yourself and your channel are doing a fantastic thing, well done mate.
Thank you mate. Really appreciate the support and all the best going forward 🤝
bravo!!!!!!! so nicely explained 100% relatable. Plus it helps you weed out all the shallow people.. win win.
I've been watching your channel for quite a while and today I am proud to say that today I took the plunge. I woke up this morning and went out and bought a pair of hair clippers and a Pitbull shaver. Took me around 20 minutes to build up the courage before shaving it all off and I do not regret it for a second!
I went through all of this. Concealed it for as long as I could and avoided situations where my balding might have been revealed. Shaved my head in lockdown and now I can’t imagine having hair. What you do for this community is nothing short of amazing, and I gotta thank you for helping me out of that depressed state ❤️
Thank you mate. Appreciate you sharing a slice of your journey here 👍
Great video harry!🎉
Thanks! 😀
Well, I'm 52 and just shaved my head. I was ready, but this channel helped me take the leap. Once you go for it, it's fantastic! Thanks for the inspiration.
Great to hear!
LOL 52 it's about dam time, problem is when you're balding at your teens and twenties
I’m pretty used to it and have had people say I look younger compared to when I had the comb over 😂
of course, everything is better than thinning hair, being totally bald as well
@@LaszloGalffy Yeah i mean its not like i didn't try, i used minoxidil for a while hoping my hair clinic lady who was supporting me would place me on a recommendation list for a transplant, but after a year's use of it and going back to see her she said to me unfortunately the hair loss is beyond repair you're at norwood 5 and if we did give you a transplant it would still fall out. Hit me hard that did i ended up a bit depressed for couple years but now its all gone and im no where near as stressed. It's definitely a humbling experience to go through something you cant change.
@@Bullet-Tooth-Tony- I agree, but if you are still young or youngish, you can wait for hair clone transplant, which will be available in a couple of years and its limitless, so there is no danger of running out of hair in your donor area. I agree that at Norwood5, using medication is useless. Or you might consider SMP, nowdays they are awsome, they even look better sometimes than proper hair.
I started losing my hair when I was 16 and always wore a cap to hide it, now I'm 22 and I shaved it all off. I felt very insecure about it but your videos really helped me to accept it💯
well said brother
Song: I want to break free 🎶
Seriously great video man we love your humble energy
I appreciate that!
Nice explanation your a motivation for many peoples ❤❤
Are you from kerala,India? Your name's a lot familiar
Love this.
Big love mate 👍
Great vid Harry and spot on, literally helping peoples mental health and wellness
People hang on too long before braving the shave, this scenario is like slowly peeling off a plaster it is more painful and unsustainable, better to rip that sucker off!
Rip it off face the music and then do that ever the F you want
I have been wearing a hat / cap in college for 3 years as I was very concious about my thinning hair, my partner HATES HATES HATES the shaved head look. Number 3, 2 she doesnt like. I said are you seriously saying you prefer me with a comb over??? Like look at my head there is hair there but its so thin you can see my scalp she said thats what she preferred. In any event I shaved it to number 1 and have now taken my hat off in college and work and its so god dam liberating. Its so obvious I was hiding hair loss with the hat wearing and it brings even more attention on you. Although i feel my looks have been affected i have quite a big head, your confidence will grow:)
Do it for yourself first king. That way you can give your best self to the world and those around you.
I’m 27,and the decision was the best one I made .i’ll just say , you truly have to love yourself to go bald
I love the bald look actually it’s cool
I shaved my head cus I was tired of paying $35/weekly for a simple fade, adds up and I just didn’t see value in it anymore
jeez i remember couple a years ago this guy had dreads he was a bob marley impersonator on a cruise ship, i see him singing no woman no cry AND black face too! man da boy was good!!!!
A work colleague of mine is losing his hair and is getting stick saying he's on his way to Zinedine Zidane etc , im encouraging him to buzz it down to a 3 guard and then work it down over time , i feel his pain been there got the T shirt
I’ve gone the other direction. I developed a widows peak at 21, immediately went number zero with the clippers for 20 years shaving it nearly every single day. At 41 I didn’t shave it for a week and noticed I still only had a widows peak, no pattern baldness or bald patch at the back so went to a number 3 on the clippers softening my look. I have quite Neanderthal heavy features and just looked unfriendly and a number 3 softened my appearance. At 53 now I keep my hair a number 2 back and sides but I now have around an inch on top as I still have a thick head of hair with barely any grey and still just this widows peak. I have my hair styled spiked with no gel and make no attempt to hide the peak. Not everyone looks better shaven bald but don’t get me wrong. If any pattern baldness appears I would immediately shave it all off just like 32 years ago. My advice would be, whatever you do, never have a combover or any type. A combover adds 20 years to your appearance. Go number 3 or 4 if a zero is too much for you. The crew cut might be preferable to a skinhead.
I recently shaved my head, after years of worry (formally a long hair) and the thing I didn’t really realise would happen is that I became abit of a role model for my friends around me. A week after I did it, my brother cut his short telling me he was worried about his hairline but seeing mine buzzed made him realise it looked good shaved. Then just today a friend upon seeing my new do, took his hat off and said “I’m worried about this’
We get so wrapped up in our own thing we don’t realise that the people we are scared of knowing..are also worrying
Just remember dear people if you’re balding its never too late to have a transplant and medical treatment because I’ve seen so many awesome transformations and if you truly love your hair its awesome to do something about it. The longer you wait, the harder it is to fix.
Shaving is great and can set you free but so does effort to keep your hair and nowadays you can keep your hair if you’re balding. No matter what you choose, its going to be alright 🫶 let us all unite
Tough to hate on that my guy 👍
My brother in law got a hair transplant in Turkey.
I've got a bald spot which is getting bigger, I don't want to go to Turkey if I'm still losing more hair otherwise I would have to go back constantly
Bro Ive been losing hair, it's not as bad as some. My dad has a decent head still but it's the big ass forehead and thinning fringe.
I shaved it in lock down and felt great. People really liked it.
What I mean to say is lovely work as this hair loss is a head fuck. It's vile but maintaining it is actually more stressful.
I agree it’s a pain to have it constantly on your mind. Best of luck with the journey man. You’re in the right place 👍
An interesting question, you mentioned before you considered acting in China - do you think if you never lost any hair you would have pursued that any further? Do you still consider acting?
Thanks I think I'll keep my hair for as long as I can instead.
You don't look bad bald but let's be honest, you were a chad with hair, without it you're just another good looking bald middle aged guy. I don't know if you ever took fin or not but if you didn't you missed out bro, maybe you wouldn't have had any major side effects like lots of people including me.
Almost 51 here still got some hair left using pepper mint oil stop using minoxidol I think the most frustrating thing for me is that some guys look great with a shaved head and others can't that seems the most unfair cause if you fall under the category of not looking as good the hair loss seems more noticeable. That doesn't seem fair
I've been receding since I was around 19/20, I'm 34 now. It's a very brave and tough mental challange to rock the bald look especially when some women post on social media about their dislike of bald men from an attractive perspective etc, so any man rocking the bald look are immensely brave, I've been rocking the bald look for around 7 years, shave with clippers then with a razor I probably cut my hair more now than when I had a full head of hair 🤣😂.
How's your luck with the ladies since shaving?
@@russ1490 I've been with my wife for around 10 years so no change. Doesn't bother my wife to be honest.
@ste1887 ahh I see, that's awesome! Good for you.
@@russ1490 thanks
Glad ive taken the step to shave it all off clean, this month marks the 10 year anniversary LoL.
Also come across many people who refuse to let go, by taking harmful pills or transplants.
Have you done a design yet for your new venture into merch?
Not a serious one yet. I’m thinking something subtle and styling first. Is that your avenue
@@Baldcafe I was just. Interested in what you were going to produce… good luck with it
I don’t know if zero f*cks is possible for everyone but it’s certainly possible to get things into the proper proportion. I think it helps if you’ve previously had buzz cuts, so it’s not such a big leap when you shave it off.
Being bald will affect your chances on dating apps etc, and the jokes/banter (that are assumed to be acceptable), will always be annoying but you can still get dates, and the best approach is to not react to the usual quips.
Hiding with hats and hair systems is never good, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with exploring options such as a hair transplant, if you’re really struggling. Life is short.
Nothing wrong with exploring options. Just so it from a place of reality and acceptance. Don't hide behind a transplant, if anything just be proud of what it actually is and it will take a lot of that burden away. The pain is in the hiding.
@@Baldcafe Yep, hiding is a prison 👍
Harry, Have you ever actually shaved an individual Head, to help them on their first shave
No mate
Guys its just hair . Shave that shit and own your new look.
its just hair but you have to be old and mature enough to deal with hairloss. If you are a guy in his teens or twenties than self esteem is stronger than a rational comment on youtube. We are living in a society where hair counts, especially with young men and lets be honest, hair makes people look better and if baldies had the choice, they would choose hair over baldness. However after a certain age, above thirty . closer to forty , priorities change and people can more easily let go of hair, also society is more accepting towards balding people who are older. This pattern of thinking wont change on our lifetime
Yeah stop the cap. Its like laying in a pile of manure up to your neck and saying “bro, just wipe the manure off your forehead.” Sure you’ve maximized situation but still sitting in the manure up to your neck.
If you are old it's just hair but when you are 20 and you are balding it makes you look much older. People will think you are an old man while you are just 25 it's definetely problematic.
I do appreciate that this is how you feel, but you must understand that for many, it isn't just hair. It is their confidence, their youth, and their way to feel complete. I am guessing that you have not expereienced hair loss, if you have and this is how you approached it, then hat's off to you for having such awareness. Now, that being said, the ones who watch this channel need more than this basic level of apporach, they need a community that cares, and proof that others have emotional struggled and succceeded like they have and want to.
Many female dating profiles say: “no bald guys” literally
I’m not balding at all at age 29 and I have a full head of hair BUT watching these videos makes me want to shave my head just cuz. Am I alone on that one?
No. There seems to be a large group of head shaving people
Hi m8, i love your accent..where in England r u from?
Yes I am from Southampton
*Try the dermaroller or derma stamp with rosemary oil with biotin every two days (three times a week), for a year.* It helped me a lot to regrow my beard in the areas where I didn't have it, and it really works if used consistently.
Baldness can be stopped and most of the hair can be recovered, except for the long-dead follicles.
Best wishes, Harry.
Is this a cure for balding?
@@Baldcafe
On UA-cam you can find various real testimonies of people with baldness who have resolved and recovered most of their hair thanks to the dermaroller/derma stamp with rosemary oil and biotin. You have to use it consistently without stopping.
I managed to grow almost all the beard I was missing on my cheeks thanks to the dermaroller (three times a week for seven months).
Never use finasteride. Hair transplants are expensive from top surgeons and not always long-lasting.
Best regards.
Its all vanity mate. The vanity anxiety is due to the society we live in. If we lived in a society where its okay to be bald etc why would we want to hide going bald. Theres alot I learned from Buddhism, especially from the monks. They remove their hair because it creates attachment to the ego self. The ego is this character that doesn't exist. Its the character we created and been given by the society we live in. Eckhart Tolle talks alot about ego identity. We attach ourselves so deeply to our self Image and who we are etc but we forget everything in the Universe is in a state of impermanence. Everyone will go old everyone will lose everything eventually. The people who are mostly attached to their looks etc are the ones who suffer the most. Like me 😂
Has there ever been a bald actor cast in a romcom? Or do we just play villains and action heroes?
Star as the bald man in your own romcom lad.
Bro i dont know if anyone told u this, but u and furious pete look like twin brothers😮
If you are not a good person inside the outside won't matter. You can have all the hair you want and be the most horrible person that ever lived and a lot of guys say they've lost their hair and it's made them a better person in the areas that really matter.
Whats all your thoughts on SMP ?
Quite a few thoughts but main one would be… how does it look when I’m 70 if I’m getting it done at 30. If you’re asking me if I’d ever do it then no I wouldn’t personally.
@@Baldcafe Interesting, on the upkeep of SMP it actually lightens with time so you need to get it touched-up every 4 years to keep a darker tone. If you want to leave it you can not retouch it and SMP will slowly fade down not completly but significantly. Great channel and thanks for responding!
❤❤❤
Not the route I'm taking since I'm on finasteride
It is the rout you are taking but you aren’t on the later stages. Best of luck on your journey 👍
Fought my hair loss for over 10 years and thanks to baldcafe ive never felt so free and never felt better, PILGRIMS 👊
If i had this Guy looks i don't give a damn too but unfortunately i have an ugly face so hair is all i got left 😂
😂😂
I didn't bald at an early age. My hair started going white at an early age(15.) 😢
Did you shave your head and if so at what age. If yes, How regularly do you shave your head to keep it clean shaven per week?
@@VeBe28 I started shaving my head at 27. By then my hair was more white than brown. I shave my head twice a week. I use Wahl balding clipper and then I follow up with andis shaver. I don't use razors. For my face I use Andis trimmer, followed by Andis shaver. Now I'm 37, and most of my facial hair is also white, but not as much as my head hair.
@@zeroman155So is the Walh trimmer enough to have a bald head without a grey stubble for a person with grey hair and ensure the asthetics of baldness?
Yes, the Wahl Balding Clipper is. It leaves you practically bald. I follow it up with the Andis shaver to go 100% bald. Only works for head. Wahl balding clipper is to strong for neck and face and may cut you. You can get away with just the Wahl clipper for head without anything else.
@@zeroman155 thank you very much for your reply!
Interesting - a bit of a more sophisticated Baldcafe. ⭐⭐⭐⭐-highly recommend
Distinguished some might say in this one
ive heard bald jokes for more than 25 years
it's just hair
if i go out on the night im making sure my head is smooth as eggs
Harry is the based goat
Big love 👍
Here's the question: How's everyone's dating life being bald? It's my understanding the being bald can be a red flag in dating - especially with dating apps & social media. I think the problem is women are so picky these days with all the options they now have with dating apps/social media. It's a jungle out there if you're not tall, well-built & have good hair.
What gives you the understanding that being bald is a red flag?
Its important to know how to accept baldness, but its also important to know that for todays younger generation, baldness wont have to be an inevitability. Science will solve this problem very soon. Even you Harry, will be still young when hair cloning will be a routine aesthetic surgery, and I wonder wether you would undergo a surgery to have a full head of hair again
No, it hasn’t negatively impacted my life after the initial struggle of acceptance so I wouldn’t need any procedure. How do you think they will solve baldness? The perfect solution already exists business wise. Why would you cure something that you can make a recurring revenue on?
@@Baldcafe I think hair cloning traspnat will solve it forever . Even today many people could stop or slow down their hairloss, but they are unwilling to try any medication or topical , which I accept. However, the road to self acceptance might be harder for some, and I say if science can sort it out, we should take the opportunity. I just write this as an ancouragment to teenagers now, that for them, as opposed to us older guys, they dont necessarily have to go bald.
I'm 58. Suddenly Ive started to thin out a lot on the front. I could give a rats s$$. I'm married, I don't have to worry about looking "hot". Now and again I shave my head. But! If I were 28 I supposed I would have freaked out. Think like me now. I know I'm good looking. I don't need any validation. You are still you just with less hair. Be confident. Very few people will care. Only your opinion counts.
When you get a buzz cut: ua-cam.com/video/8fT-l0YYLHI/v-deo.html
When you shave: ua-cam.com/video/H-0RHqDWcJE/v-deo.html
I get balding is your business but hair is 1 million times better lets not fool ourselves but in saying that what you do is amazing comforting people with hair loss offering support
I'm more fearful of letting my hair grow..... It's rubbish!😅
It looks good if you can grow a beard while being bald doesn't look good if you can't and look like a Alopecia creep.
Just some facial hair is perfectly adequate I’ve come to learn.
Community😂
It seems like there is something you want to say?
Why not do both? Shave your head to get used to the look and build up confidence, usually clean shaven will look better than badling. While at the same time continuing treatment, then growing your hair out after a year or two to see if it worked? Takes a good 2-4 years before you know if your hair can be saved. Shaving your head is a pain in the ass, gotta do it often for it to look good, it's easy to cut yourself and you have to wear hats to protect your scalp from the sun.
Definitely shouldn't care what other people think, strangers are more worried about themself than thinking about your bald or balding head. Definitely lucky that women are nowhere near as shallow as men, being bald or not is not a deal breaker unless you're 16 and in high school.
Losing customization options for your avatar kinda sucks, not everyone wants to be locked into bald+facial hair. A lot of guys are sleeping on makeup, eyeliner is great to accentuate your eyes, at least learn how to underline your top eyelids.
In a nutshell I’d say yeah if you do want a transplant or anything else so try to give the appearance of a full head of hair then it is a good idea to 1. Be fully comfortable bald and 2. Be fully open about it all. Eg if you want a hair system then rock it proudly as a hair system and not trying to make out it’s your real hair. It will all be far less stressful that way.
Welp it will help with my semen retention lol
😂
Welp
Man...stop giving people advices that they will regret in a few years. Only a very small percentage of men look good bald. Most just look bad. I understand this is your business and people who view your channel are desperate but preying on their insecurity to monetize is just toxic. If you are young and losing hair try to find some treatment that halts it. If you are in your mid 30s or above go get a hair transplant.
Just look at how this guy looked with hair and how he looks now. Stop lying to yourself, stop being lazy and stop listening to charlatans on youtube. I know you know deep inside that you want to have your hair. So why go the opposite route? Makes no sense.
👨🦲 For me, the most important factor before or after losing one’s hair is to not get fat. People won’t judge you on your hair loss - it’s not your fault. Becoming a slob is your fault. Stay relatively lean, hair or no hair. You will be admired for your efforts.
How bout female hair loss🎉🎉🎉🎉
There is a good channel called Woman’s Hair Loss Association
