- If you didn't know, pulling this kind of move is somewhat common, people think they can get away with screwing over the driver by cancelling their trip mid ride so they don't have to pay, but the driver often notices, to the misfortune of our little opportunist.
I'd like to start off this next chapter of the channel with something a bit more positive, but this just happened, and I think these negative experiences can be just as significant as some of the more positive ones. You never know when something crazy is gonna break out working this job, that's part of what makes it interesting. I didn't honestly think I'd get attacked during this ride, but I can't say I'm ever surprised when stuff goes down like this in an uber.
Uber said they handled her, but I guess I'm thankful she decided to be dumb, in a way. It's these weird and sometimes terrible experiences that can teach some powerful lessons. and ad revenue. pls don't demonetize this video youtube.

For clarification, he’s a cab driver in the 1981 animated movie, Heavy Metal. Anytime a passenger pointed a gun at ol Harry, he’d press a special pedal and vaporized any idiot in the backseat that threatened him. Anytime I see videos of people, mostly women, canceling a ride for Uber/Lyft, I think of that character. You’re basically stealing from someone, right behind them and lying about it, on top of trespassing in their property. I’m not necessarily condoning them being unalived, but if any of these drivers pulls out a pistol to force a free rider out of their vehicles and there happens to be an accidental discharge…you wouldn’t want me on that jury. Your untimely departure is completely justified to me.
You handled the situation very professional and in total coolness with this women obviously in mental disorder for whatever reason. Shit happens. I myself was working nightshift as a taxidriver for nearly twenty years in Berlin/Germany and can guarenteer you that I had been through a lot of very difficult situations. Plus the average profit is only $3/hour after you take into the account the costs of driving. Which is why Uber/lyft want their drivers classified as independent contractors rather than employees so that they can get away with paying less than minimum wage.

I was an Uber driver for 2 and 1/2 years. Drive only Friday and Saturday nights. I was 64 and female. Have lots of stories, but of the 100’s of people I drove only 2 men actually were ever concerning to me. I believe that ride share should have her face plastered everywhere. She attacked you. None, not one person ever touched me, except to shake my hand. Of course this was 5 years ago.(2016-2018) Why people have become so entitled I don’t understand. I’m writing this comment 7/8/23
