  • My mother was born in Germany on a US Military base. She has had this reciepe in her head for over 60 years and now shows me how to make it on video.
I am sure you can try to replicate this fudge in any version you please but if do it exactly like she does you will not go wrong. Especially the stirring in the same direction. She says it makes all the difference. If you wish to stir it in a different direction that is up to you. I can only show you the way she does it.
    Ingredients:
    2 cups of sugar
2 heaping tablespoons of Hershey's cocoa
    1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter
    1 cup of pecans
    1/4 cup peanut butter
She has been making fudge in the same cast aluminum pot for over 40 years. I can not find that exact pot but here is a link to the best priced cast aluminum pot I could find on amazon.

I hope your fudge turns out as great as my mothers.

Looks delicious. Had a chuckle though about stirring in one direction, that's not why it would be grainy if you stir it in different directions, but if you don't cook it long enough is what will make it grainy. I've been making homemade fudge for 50 years and I stir it in all directions and it comes out creamy and perfect every time. Love homemade fudge.. will try this recipe next time we are making it. Thank you for the video and thank you to your mom for teaching us this recipe!

@@cornbreadcreekfarm7458 When I started cooking as a little girl...my Dad warned me to always turn the handle of a pot out of the way..he said when he was a child (born in 1907) he accidentally hit the handle on a boiling pot of grease and knocked it off of the stove scarring his legs...so please keep the handle to one side or to the back when not attending it....Thank you

Hello, I’m new to your channel. Love seeing your mama’s fudge recipe. I’m from Gadsden, AL. I’m in Jacksonville, FL now, but my brother lives up near Altoona, AL. What part are y’all in? Your chicken run video caught my attention when it popped up . I’ll be watching more, now.
