Tomato, watermelon, and peppers are doing great. I love the green house! Keep us updated on the potatoes, I've never seen them planted that way but they are looking good 👍🏼

I`m on disability with no transportation in very rural Louisiana. Gonna try growing potatoes indoors with lights. I bought six 5 gallon food grade buckets. I`m planning to invent a way to grow them in large totes using hydroponic solution for feeding/watering. I was thinking a layer of clay beads in the bottom of a tote with water pumped through it will work if I can shield the developing potatoes from light somehow. I have multiple ideas and nothing but time to figure it out.
I`ve seen potatoes we had stored under a trailer send out runners to the light and potatoes grew on top of the ground in the dark, so this gave me the idea that maybe they can grow in air if the feeder roots get fed. I bought 6 tabletop hydro gardens for fresh leaf lettuce like butterhead, herbs, and other greens, and they work extremely well. When I heard about a possible fertilizer shortage I bought enough nutrients for over 3000 plants but it was under 100 dollars. But right afterward one type I bought tripled in price.
I`m moving into a camper as soon as they get utilities connected and the first project is two indoor yellow squash plants in my buckets using hydroponic solution. I have some nice grow lights.

I like the hay barrel garden.. If it weren't for the animals & bugs our gardens would be perfect! 😉

Your greenhouse is amazing ! I’m also having problems with the squash ! The only one that does not get bothered is my CUSHAW squash , but that is a winter squash ! Thanks for sharing !

Tomatoe leaves are being eaten by Tomatoe worms. From what i can see. You might examine the entire plants closely and find them. They usually are pretty green color and LARGE! Good luck and good job!

Coons always get any corn or melons I try to grow. May have to grow some inside a big cage. I gotta somehow solve the coon problems so I can have a few melons and a little bit of sweet corn each year. I feed the possums, birds and coons in Winter but there are millions here and they always get the corn and watermelons regardless.
