Thank you. That's brilliant to hear! For these videos there's a lot of information, so I've had to learn to slow the pace. The trend does seem to be to do everything at a million miles per hour. ARP is a complex badger at times, though, and it's worth investing the extra time :)
Thanks for telling me, John. The link to the latest User Manual has now been corrected. midicake.com/manuals. My bad, I did everything but update the link. :(
does this thing have any sort of ability to do rests? everything is a constant note pattern. is there a way to introduce the skipping of certain notes or things like that?
Sure circus horror tune 🔪 🤡--but the new features are what matter and they’re amazing-Zero bugs! Only thing I find myself wishing for is some kind of cc modulation of synth parameters like cutoff. Like listed in the targets (fix/mod etc)could be ‘cc #’ ?- that kind of option doesn’t currently exist right?
No Modulation of CC output currently but it is on the roadmap. The next firmware brings CC output via the macros and that was the first step towards achieving MIDI CC output for sequences.
@@midicakemidi ya once I figured out that the cc controls are for the ARPs own functions it was clear. But excited to hear that it may be possible at some point. It will be a bonus (because the arp is great as it is). I have the daw/Pyramid feeding the ARP into a Syntakt to capture what I created- it’s such a great setup. I love the way the ARP grooves. Any cc mangling is handled by the Syntakt but glad u already have the idea of the ARP modulating cc parameters cuz that would be awesome. Already very impressed with what you’ve accomplished!
Haha, duely noted! Thanks for the feedback. I put a lot of effort into the content and try to vary the sounds I use in different videos. I've been exploring Organs for the next can do video, it's not my favourite sound and maybe I've become a little numbed to it. :) There's no excuse though, will try to do better.
With a MIDI keyboard, yes. With the built in Keyboard and Chord Chains, not yet. We are working on it for the next firmware update. It is possible to do inversions with the note offset parameter but for progressions that can be a bit cumbersome.
Have to say, you've got the best pacing in your videos. So many other UA-cam videos feels like the narrator is in a big hurry to get somewhere else.

Awesome
Solid updates, I look forward to trying them out at the weekend, thanks.
Excellent! Love those lock features for drums :D
Fantastic
❤❤❤
Blimey! that is a load of extra and very welcome features. Done the update, so -- when will the manual include the new stuff?

Yes, you can use and edit Rhythm patterns to mute or tie steps. You can also modulate time division to take you off the constant beat.
@@midicakemidi I have some fun ideas on how to implement this in fun ways if you wanna chat outside of here. I'll say hi 😀

Looks like a really great device - but jesus man that mental polka sound makes this hard to watch.

Looking forward to inversions! @@midicakemidi
