Biofinity Toric has been my go to for the past few years but recently I’m having trouble with my right eye.. drying out, hard to focus and sometimes I get a weird halo at the top of my eyes. I’m going back to the eye doc tomorrow to get rechecked. I’m not sure if it’s just not fitting to my eyeball correctly or if the prescription is somehow wrong. Just got my eyes checked like 2 weeks ago so this is a bit odd to me right now.

For daily wear, I use Acuvue Oasys 1 Day for Astigmatism. They are so comfortable that I sometimes forget that they're in, even after a long day at work. I rarely need to use eye drops with these lenses. I also have the monthly Multifocal Ultra for Astigmatism when I know that I'll be doing a lot of close up work. They're a little pricey but are worth not having to carry around a pair of reading glasses.

I tried the Dailies total 1 for astigmatism and they sucked for me… I had high hopes because of the Dailies total 1 without astigmatism contact lens. I loved them, but I need my astigmatism corrected so I gotta wear torics now so I’m hoping the switch to Acuvue Oasys 1-day lens goes well. I need something to match or exceed the comfortable of the non-astigmatism Dailies total 1 lens

I have been wearing Biofinity Toric XR for some time. Excellent contacts. However, CooperVision does have other models with high cylinder powers. There are other companies that do make my script but for now I will stay with Biofinity Toric XR because the lens provides great vision and does not shift. I actually see better with contact lens vs glasses. After few hours wearing glasses I start getting a headache.

Which ended up working best? I have issues with dryness and am trying to find the right lens too. Oasys was decent, Bioinfinity was awful. Daily ones were too flimsy and my dry eyes would "crinkle" them when I blink.

I know that Oasys are more expensive but depending of your eyes you can use them for more than 2 weeks I change mine in general every 2 months... Just when the eye is tired. I tried Biotrue ONEday lenses, Acuvue oasys (1-Day), and Acuvue Moist(1-Day) and I like the Biotrue the most actually. It was the least disorientating one in terms of vision. I didn't realize I had to use the alignment markers when I put in the contact lenses. Sometimes my vision would be blurry but I tried putting it on based on the alignment markers and my vision isn't blurry anymore lol I wonder why my eye dr didn't tell me about that when he gave me the trials XD

I had been to four different optometrists who would get frustrated with me for choosing to only correct my near sightedness and opt out of the sigmatism correction. I always told all of them why I didn't like toric lenses, they make me dizzy and the world appear warped. Only ONE actually took the time to explain the markers! Obviously my doctor I saw regularly now. I have no problem with toric lenses! I just need to wear them correctly. Lol.

I heard it's an older lens so perhaps that's why it may not suit everyone. Right now, I'm trying the Air Optix for Astig. and may get a trial for the B&L Ultra Astig. Hello, looking for some advice as a new contact wearer. I’m wearing aquatechplus premium toric aka biofinity toric lenses and I’m still having issues seeing at night and in low light everything gets real soft and fuzzy. Comparing the contact lens prescription to my glasses prescription the axis for My astigmatism is - .75 at 175 on my glasses compared to - .75 at 170 on the contact for my right eye. And my left eye is -1.25 at 05 for my glasses and -1.25 at 180 on the contacts. My prescription was finalized just yesterday I brought the fuzziness up to my optometrist and she said it was normal because I have toric lenses. The problem is that my vision doesn’t resolve and get better in low light or dark situations. And it’s honestly harder to see with them in than if I just take them out. Is there a contact that could correct on those axis and at those powers? If not then I don’t think contacts are for me

Unfortunately, no daily disposable lens. The closest is Biotrue for Astigmatism which goes up to -2.75 DC.

Not a bad lens by any means. The lenses highlighted in this video are superior in comfort and fit.

@@candyamal6888 I am glad you found a contact good for you Air Optixs has always been good to me. I tried Acuvive my eyes could not take them. I have tired other brands, but always end Air Optixs. That is why it is always important to keep trying different brands everyones eyes are different when it comes to finding the right contact brand for you.

Any recommendations for someone who golf's almost everyday? I have astigmatism and sometimes the wind can make the contact stick in one spot. I've used prescription sunglasses for years but Im looking for the best contact option for outdoor sports.

Ultra for astigmatism, biotrue one day for astigmatism, and Acuvue oasys 1 day for astigmatism all are great lenses that stabilize well. All with giving a try while the latter is a premium daily disposable option that is less likely to stick to the eye in windy conditions.

Hi Ryan, I have Keratoconus and high astigmatism. I'm a OD: -7.75. I hope my contacts won't be so expensive. I get my initial contact checkup next week. I was offered 4 years ago monthly ones but they were pricey and I wonder if it's because of my eye condition. What do you recommend.

You were most likely offered rgp or scleral lenses. They’re a custom option for patients that have keratoconus and can be expensive if you don’t have material coverage though your vision/medical insurance. With this in mind, they are the best option for moderate to severe keratoconus.

Huh. So base curve, diameter, existing corneal health issues, and patient comfort shouldn't come into play.
Medical devices shouldn't be compared like this.

Thank you for your feedback. They absolutely do. This video was designed to help people have a more educated discussion with their eye doctor. We have a lot more information on our website that further discusses the technical aspects of each lens.
