Elder Scrolls has been my entire personality since I was a child. I read over fifty novelizations of Elder Scrolls Games, replayed Skyrim to hell, fucking learned how to read Dovah at one point, my usernames has always been derived from some sort of word in it, but I never played ESO though. Thank you for this guide Dying Legacy! I've had this game since beta and never really could fully immerse myself into it in any of the attempts that I've made trying it out. However, I've been itching to see more of Tamriel recently and have been considering in giving it one more try. This guide is exactly what I needed to make the decision! I usually get intimidated by the amount of content and the fear that I'll never be able to see it all on one character, that I'll "out pace" stuff and make it way too easy. Knowing how the Champion Levels apply to all characters also was pretty good information to have, and information that I don't usually hear because of all of the other "Beginner's" guides that spend an entire hour on simply how to optimize your character creation experience. I love how concise you made anything. If there's ever a "Part 2" I'll be sure to give it a watch! For now, I'm gonna start watching your backlog :D
It took me years to give it a proper go, and same as yourself I played during the beta, and the game never felt right for me. But it's come such a distance since then that it's more than worth the playtime now. And no matter what you can definitely see it all on one character, because the armor cap is technically the level cap. It's all horizontal progression after that!
I'm in the same camp I got the deluxe box with the statue and was really into it for a year or so. Now I definitely want to get back into it because you get to go everywhere in Tamriel. I'll be a dark elf named Fălanu Drăculea

I've noticed there's quests I get that are 'group dungeons' and I play solo, where can I find people to play with? 3. Wher can I find a group to join?
You can join a dungeon by using the dungeon finder. And you can select a dungeon to look for, as well as random dungeons. You'll find it in your menu. As for my game, its because I use reshade. Which sharpens my image quality and boosts the colours a bit.

Hey, new player here! When i do some of the blacksmith or clothing mission ( to make stuff and deliver), i get «learn style to unlock / you have not yet learned this style», how do i do this? I have searched everywhere without finding the solution. Thank you in advance
You have to learn the style. You can buy them from the guild stores, or get them from drops. You initially only have your own races style unlocked. When making something you'll notice you can choose what style to make the item. For a lot of the crafting deliveries, they require to be made in a specific style. You can learn those style from pages. The same pages you buy to unlock fashion looks

What? If you mean, joining a dungeon someone's already in, then yes. Otherwise, no. You can teleport direct to the dungeon or queue through the dungeon finder.

Hey I've just platinumed ESV Skyrim and I'm dying for some more Elder Scrolls content and I have just a few quick questions. 1, Is the game worth $20? Or wait for it to be on sale 2, Do the menus/mechanics get confusing as it doesn't look like the previous style of menus in the last Elder Scrolls games and there are a bunch of bars, numbers and boxes all over the screen while in combat. And lastly, is there first person? You were in third person the entire video and I'm just wanting to make sure. Dumb question I know Thank you very much.
There is first person, but that's limited in view space when you are trying to avoid mechanics, but when you spawn in first, you are in first person. The menus are basically the same as skyrim if you use a controller. It is definitely worth 20quid, no idea if it'd go on sale. You can change the ui a bit to fit your play style, I have everything on all the time to keep count of everything.
Oh wow thank you so much for a quick reply.. I think I'll buy ESO as I've been thinking of it and you practically reassured me of the few things I've been iffy about. And thank you for a beginners guide on ESO that doesn't require me to grab popcorn to watch
I played Morrowind, Oblivion several times, Skyrim several times and all was great. I play ESO and I have no f*cking clue where to go, what to do and how to do it. I have no idea what my inventory is, what the items are, nothing. F*cking stupid.
Anywhere. Go anywhere. There are quests in every direction. Doesn't matter where you begin. Doesn't even matter what items you are using. Inventories kinda self explanatory.
@@DyingLegacy I don't know. To me it seems like it's been developed by an entirely different team. It has nothing to do with the original. Just like RDR 2 (didn't even finish it) But thank you !!
Currently playing fo76, strongly considering moving over to ESO but that combat looks pretty janky. hoping for someone to convince me that combat is actually fun once you're used to it.
It's extremely fun when you get used to it, if you don't find fo76's combat janky, you'll have no issue with eso's combat when playing it yourself, plus it's down to your play style, in how you play. The combat is based on your class and weapons so it's very creatively subjective

At work now so later in the evening ill check it out when I get there.😁 I love that you still answer questions even tho the video is half a year old. Keep it up!
@kricket1143 between lvl 10 and 15 is when it starts letting you know about dungeons and pvp. I try my best 😃
What is the HUD you are using?
It's bandits ui interface, along side dark ui
@@DyingLegacy thanks homie
@@DJKNITEX You're welcome!
How do you get the stat bars to look like that? Is it a mod or in the settings?
It's a mod. Not even sure what the name of it is anymore.
@@DyingLegacy thank you. I just started playing ESO on PC so any QOL stuff is welcome
@maryaholic oh no worries at all! It can help. I strongly suggest some form of map makers too. Shows you all the icons on the map to make it easier to find places and collectibles.
So I’m part of a guild, but to join dungeons, other people have to invite me correct?
What? If you mean, joining a dungeon someone's already in, then yes. Otherwise, no. You can teleport direct to the dungeon or queue through the dungeon finder.
How to turn the day to night?
You need to get an item for your home. Not sure what though.
Which addons are you using for inventory/quests? The default UI is super clunky
I genuinely can't remember, I'll reply to this again ina few hours when I'm home and I'll let you know!
I am using bandits user interface!
Hmm. Is that how you have the skills menu setup at 7:40 and craft bag setup at 9:26?
@@oivcfhj0941 Actually no, that is the controller ui, mods can't really change that, I believe there's a way to use it with keyboard and mouse though
@@DyingLegacy oh interesting. I like that much better than the keyboard and mouse setup. Thanks for getting back!
bro thank you dam that video is great
I am very glad I could help!
you got a discord for new players to hang out?
I have, but I'll be honest, It's not ESO dedicated. It's an MMO Discord with rooms, including ESO, and I know there are a few ESO players, it's on my UA-cam Page
Not me listening to this after listening to a three-hour beginner guide. 😅 (To be fair, I'm at work and got nothing better to do.)
We have all done it! 😂
Sounds just like Skyrim
@@kendrickschwartz1286 If you go into thinking it's skyrim, you'd only be disappointed unfortunately
You need eso+ or don’t bother playing
This ^
What addons are you using?
Dark ui and a few map unlock ones
whoa I didnt expect you to reply so quick@@DyingLegacy
@@shaunaddison44 I like to keep on top of things!
What addons are those? I neeeeeeeeed em.
That list is way too long to list and remember 😅 mostly just adding for seeing things on the map
Can I play and not get pvp all the time??
You have to queue for pvp, there is no open world pvp. Only in cyrodil. Which you need to queue for
Good guide, still a little too heavy on the info dumps.
I tried to keep it light. But there's just so much to the game at this point it's hard to condense it further. But I appreriate the feedback!

You're a mythical soul!
Iam new to elder scroll how do I get a pet
Buy one from the crown store. There is however a few in game ways round get a pet or two, mostly connected to quests
how do i play without losing my life?
Sacrifice 3 of your fingers to a dark overlord and invest in crypto and nfts. At that point nothing else really matters.
@@DyingLegacyso I’ve already sacrificed my 3 fingers but it’s a little hard to invest in crypto with only 7 fingers. Any tips?
@@trafficcone7344 Go down to the local market. And meet with a woman dressed in red. Tell her the crows fart at dawn. You'll have to exchange your knee caps, but she'll dot the I's and cross the T's for your investment.
Hey I've just platinumed ESV Skyrim and I'm dying for some more Elder Scrolls content and I have just a few quick questions.
1, Is the game worth $20? Or wait for it to be on sale
2, Do the menus/mechanics get confusing as it doesn't look like the previous style of menus in the last Elder Scrolls games and there are a bunch of bars, numbers and boxes all over the screen while in combat.
And lastly, is there first person? You were in third person the entire video and I'm just wanting to make sure. Dumb question I know
Thank you very much.
@@CarsonTLM.You're welcome, and I'm glad I could help. And welcome to ESO!
@@CarsonTLM.omg its free rn on epic
and now the games free😭👍
Makes it the perfect time to try it 😂
👍
I clicked on this video cause the rest were like an hour to 3 hours long lmao.
It's not a difficult game to explain in the least either lol
@@DyingLegacy I see.
why does this game look kinda like skyrim?
Because it's the elder scrolls, Skyrim is a region aswell
I played Morrowind, Oblivion several times, Skyrim several times and all was great. I play ESO and I have no f*cking clue where to go, what to do and how to do it. I have no idea what my inventory is, what the items are, nothing. F*cking stupid.
Anywhere. Go anywhere. There are quests in every direction. Doesn't matter where you begin. Doesn't even matter what items you are using. Inventories kinda self explanatory.
@@DyingLegacy I don't know. To me it seems like it's been developed by an entirely different team. It has nothing to do with the original. Just like RDR 2 (didn't even finish it)
But thank you !!
@jonpale797 It is a different team... This isn't a single player rpg. It's an MMO. It is a completely different game.
@@DyingLegacy wow, I got it right. Awesome.
I'll watch your video a few more times and give it another go. Thanks again ✌🏼
@@jonpale797 Glad I could help out to some degree!
Your female character looked like Bella Hadid in the beginning lolll
I wanted that catwalk geel 😂
😂 this sounds absolutely horrendous to play
It can't be for everyone 🙂
If it wasn't for the worst running animation I ever seen on a MMORPG. I would come back to this game. Also the combat sucks
Yet here you are watching a beginner's guide ☺️
@@DyingLegacy and your point is?!
@@SirMitsuruji5Just stating a fact :)
lol
You talk too fast ugh!!
Sorry bout that!
@@DyingLegacy nw after I was done b*tchin I slowed it down and watched anyway 🤣
@@DeezeeBreezee Technology enhances!! 🤣
Just stick with FO we don’t need ya on ESO
😂
I tried playing this game and to be honest, it really sucks.
It's not for everyone.
