Engine 2 is unstable and results in a game crash after 7-10 games being played. It also has dissapearing objects such as hands, players or object before the disconnect occurs. Engine 1 can be as smooth as Engine 2 if you change your mouse polling rate to 100/250/500Hz and most importantly it doesn't crash.
This new update they did made Engine 2 feel smoother. Engine 2 wasn't even met for CA: Classic so yeah I know it is unstable. However, the big advantage Engine 2 has is zero mouse acceleration. Engine 1 + 125hz mouse is still bad for competitive players
