@@Primiumy i was under the assumption this guy acts egotistical because thats now the personality hes known for. you bring a good point there but i also know wonder if he actually thinks hes a god or if thats what he just says
The difference I believe is that professional bakers often create their own recipes. They understand the principles behind the recipes (the chemistry at play for instead), so they can tweak them at their convenience, or they can create something brand new. So I disagree that "baking ain't shit". It's just easier for those that only follow the recipe.
Which is… still baking. The whole point of this series is that baking is hard because people make it hard. Plus, do you just expect him to make one without his own recipe? Try making a croissant without knowing how to make it. Like tf?
Well that’s being a baker. The act of baking doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re what most consider a baker, but the act of baking something is baking, which is pretty easy
Fun fact: There are different styles of puff pastry. This is the easiest one, putting the dough around the butter. The most difficult one is putting the butter around the dough. My boyfriend is a chef, so I heard this fact many many times. So maybe try this one the next time, but with this confidence I am sure you gonna make it 😊
I have to correct after talking to my boyfriend. This is the secon easiest one. The easiest one is just putting parts of butter in the dough, kneeding the butter in the dough is a little bit more difficult.
@@stupidwaffleguy Or could just be a compliment? Ever think? Not even saying "ever think of that?" Because that's how heavily I doubt that you've had a single thought in your life.
"i wish i could fail just to understand how normal people feel like" *dragons beard candy* staring at the corner of the room *baked alaska* that never got baked
I have a suggestion for something for you to bake... try making a 3 story cake. Use victorian sponge cake and include layers of italian buttercream in it. The sheer amount of folding to get the air into the sponge is a lot. make it gluten free too.
I agree. To me it only looks to be that he is baking snacks. Cakes are one of the hardest things to bake (in my opinion) and you don't know how it will turn out until you've decorated and cut into it.
As a baker I can say you’re right that baking can be easy. But the hardest part is making a couple of different desserts at the same time and getting them done without ruining anything else. That’s the biggest difference. One well made dessert is not the same as a couple breads, cakes, and some cookies in a few hours.
Literally anything is "hard" by that measure. This is not about baking in volume, this is about the fact that people say baking these things in the first place is difficult and it's not.
@@rinkutsuki3382all the other comments were of people who think the only way to do a dish is the way they do it, or that think that dishes only have one recipe, or that don't understand umbrella terms for food lmao
@DINGD0NG... The reason people were mad at his other videos is because he didn't actually make the things he said he was. Admittedly, people could have gone about that differently, but the point still stands that he didn't really bake them. He torched the baked alaska, he made Meringues instead of Pavlova, and he completely messed up the dragons beard if it got stuck in his teeth. He also got rid of the hard part of a Baklava, completely getting rid of the challenge of it.
As someone who bakes at home it is easy. The hard part is more or so making everything look the same and uniform. Other than that it is simple as long as you understand what you are doing and follow instructions well.
Finally seeing the croissant video oddly makes me happy, and yet curious about what else you'll end up making. If you do continue similar baking series like this you could maybe recreate specific pastries and iconic foods from countries (like a pavlova from new zealand.) The difference I believe is that professional bakers often create their own recipes.

Swear especially if you were doing it all from memory and were on a time limit to get them done
Literally anything is "hard" by that measure. This is not about baking in volume, this is about the fact that people say baking these things in the first place is difficult and it's not.
Very true. That’s why he specifies that the act of baking can be easy but doesn’t claim to be a baker in the official/professional sense.
Yeah no shit fucking your mom and doing my taxes at the same time is harder
That's true but also kind of besides the point. Anything is hard if put that way, but only professionals will likely ever face such problems
Those got me drooling 🤤

Well, you must not have read the comments on some of his other videos. Still, he did good with this one.

@@alexandria1672if ur an idiot
Yes I agree with this and the comment from @alexandria1672
As someone who bakes at home it is easy. The hard part is more or so making everything look the same and uniform. Other than that it is simple as long as you understand what you are doing and follow instructions well.
Baking is chemistry! Follow the formula get the results!
Finally seeing the croissant video oddly makes me happy, and yet curious about what else you'll end up making.
If you do continue similar baking series like this you could maybe recreate specific pastries and iconic foods from countries (like a pavlova from new zealand.)
Love the videos and content, have a good holiday!
Im still annoyed that when someone said make a pavlova with no cracks he made mini ones 😭 that defeats the whole point of it being hard
Or when he made baklava and used pre made dough
Or when he didn't bake the baked alaska
Or when he completely failed the dragonbeard candy
He literally didn't make pavlova, he made meringues and called it pavlova, so it's even worse.
