In my opinion, Peanut just isn't that good. While it does compress two other plants, it doesn't do it well. Peashooter is a plant that wants to be in the back, while Wallnut wants to be in the front. This wouldn't be much of a problem, but when Peanut reaches half health, his dps is also halved. Thus, you can either put him in the front, missing out on some damage, or in the back, missing out on his extra health. Also, Peashooter's recharge is faster than Peanut's. I agree with pretty much everything else.
@daonioneater that is a fair opinion. I always liked peanut so maybe I am a bit bias. Creeps20 made a video talking about just peanut if your interested in that.
Also you get punished when you choose between front and back. Add it to the back. You get punished by not being able to use its defense ability. Put it in the front. Get punished by not using the peashooter ability. And you get less damage when you get damaged.

Yeah right!? And also, he said sun producers like to be on the back, which is wrong in every PvZ game. I get moonflower wanting to be next to other shadow plants but you can place an extra two moonflowers to power the nuts smh
i love the argument you have for murkdamia nut is that to get it powered you have to place your sun producer moon flower to the right of the lawn and you said "sun producers don't lie being of the right side of the lawn" now i have leanrned something about sun producers a while back and it helped me a lot and it's that they are the least important plant cast in the game and spamming them all over the field is a great strategy not even just great sometimes id say overpowered so this argument is invalid. Otherwise this video is great Amazing ranking !
I'll admit I was afraid he was talking about Holly Barrier when he talked about a plant that hurts you if you touch it (Endurain) cause Holly Barrier is GOATED. (easy A tier, arguably S if your blover timing is on point). However hey may have ranked it in "best plants that require manual activation". I'm not sure.
It just has a horrible reputation for not doing enough and being the only plant rendered useless if you self sabotage, but if you see anubis zombies, it's probably worth bringing one in, especailly after the buff. Doesn't make it "good" but like Hot potato, it has a niche that makes it at least worth bringing in if you see certain zombies.
Explod-o-nut is arguably one of my favorite plants not because it's OP, but because it's the most interesting when it comes to balance. Many people assume that explod-o-nut absolutely breaks the game and is easier mode than Gold Bloom, but the truth is, you don't compare it to Cherry bomb as much as Primal Potato mine and in that sense, it's "weakness" becomes a lot clearer. Cherry bomb is meant to be an instant 3x3 destruction, which is SUPER necessary for taking out bosses like Z mech and the like, or zombies that don't attack at all. PRimal Potato mine does more damage by default, but also triggers based on proximity (and can multiply itself with plantfood) allowing for more coverage and getting that insta boom when the zombies touch it. Explod-o-nut is kind of like Jalapeno. you need a large number of zombies attacking it on it's own lane to get it to explode and while you can do some neat stuff with garlic or maybe Thyme Warp to catch several zombies in an explosion, it's arguably better to use primal potato mine or even cherry bomb since they will explode instantly catching other zombies. Plus many zombies don't actually eat (like Wizards or static zombies) which absolutely cripple Explode-o-nut. Thus used right, it's a powerful plant, but used wrong and you clearly show you're thinking of the numbers and not the application. I see mods trying to nerf it by doing sh8t like making it cost 400 sun and have a slow recharge..... why? So it's literally unusable at all? 200 sun would be balanced with the others as it's literally a cherry bomb and Wall nut, but it CAN hurt you more than help you if you spam it and NEED the explosions to go off before Wizards turn most of your plants to sheep and it's just sitting there near death but didn't die cause you killed the one zombie attacking it before it went off, then you gotta shovel it, or let that space remained occupied with a frankly useless plant. YOu'd never shovel up a Cherry bomb cause you can't, and you'd never shovel a primal potato mine cause it'll trigger on wizard zombies and boss zombies. That's why it's my favorite plant. You have to appreciate the fact that any nerf to the plant doesn't make the plant worse, it just makes the GAME worse. Keeping in mind the modders are the same kind of people who "hate" Blover because it has insta kill strats.... like forgive us for having a tower defense game with OPTIONS... if one HAS to nearly lose at BWB or Arena mode, then be our guest, but it doesn't make them a better player to deliberately use suboptimal plants just for bragging rights, then demand every other plant be nerfed.
I think that Explode-o-nut is comparable to Explode-o-vine. Explode-o-vine causes an explosion when planted, and another when eaten. Keep in mind, Explode-o-vine has somewhat low health, but costs 3 times more sun than Explode-o-nut. While it is a vine, and it is meant to be planted on other plants, you lose value on the explosion and the on death blast, so it just makes sense to use it like a Cherry Bomb. Edit: Not exactly sure how much damage it does. Apparently, it's 1200 for when it's planted and 1800 on death. The wiki doesn't say, so this could be wrong. Could be considered as broken, as it has a 10 second recharge, which is the same as Explode-o-nut.
Here's another one, rank every plant that pierces through zombie, not every spear-mint, but every plant that's attack can phase through multiple zombies
You can’t be putting peanut in B, it’s a wall plant that wants to be on the left, losing out on its defensive capabilities, and a shooter that wants to be on the right, halving the damage it deals and losing out on it
I just have a question isn’t Gumnut technically a wall plant because it’s ability is to put gum on zombies that also affects other zombies. I’m just wondering if Gumnut is a wall plant because he’s not in the tier list
Red Stinger, Celery Stalker, Garlic, Kiwibeast, Holly Barrier, Torchwood, & Explode-o-Vine are also a Wall plants Aloe, Gumnut, Bramble Bush, & Bamboo Spartan could also be considered walls
D tier wall plants: agreed B tier wall plants: agreed A tier wall plants: agreed S tier wall plants: mostly agree blockoli’s dmg is meh its good with pf tho i would say between a and s
@@DJ_Wolfy5 I think you nailed it too. I agree with the list. Even despite my "rant" about people's peception of Explod-o-nut, there's no denying it's the best "wall" plant in the game, but that's mostly cause PvZ2 is a game where Offense >>>>>>>> Defense, especailly in harder missions with leveled up Zombies like Penny's pursuit and Arena where frankly, every plant that isn't Explod-o-nut (and maybe Peanut and Bean sprout) is completely useless because they'd get eaten instantly despite thier health. Also...odd Kiwi Beast isn't there, it's very similar to bean sprout in that it's a defensive plant that gets stronger the more it's attacked and is one of few plants with synergy with Aloe Vera, mentioned in game.
Guard shroom is actually busted when used with peanut and reinforcemint. The little shrooms produced by guardshroom are not only a pvz1 chomper, but also double the plant food effect of the plant in the same tile, so when using reinforcemint every peanut that has a shroom on it's tile has double plant food effect. It has a similar synergy with the broccoli, so I think it's one of the best wall plants in the whole game.
It also competes with Grim rose, Dusk lobber and Shadow Pea shooter. "Why block a zombie when you can just kill them?" Given those three are free and can be farmed in adventure mode, it makes Macadamia nut kind of worse by default. Though frankly I think it should've been introduced in Modern day INSTEAD of Nightshade....the worlds slowest melee plant that somehow makes Citron look top tier.... (and is the ONLY shadow plant that gets a NERF when influenced by shadow, as it loses some attack power in exchange for regrowing it's leaves and turning them to projectiles.....again...just use Citron....)
@@Wario_loves_Garlic Have you tried the AloeGuard combo? It's like infi-nut without recharge timer, can live through almost anything except gimmicky zombies
What about Explode O' Vine, Kiwi Beast, Holly Barrier, Bamboo Spartan, Bramble Bush and Torchwood? These plants have high HP or at least near Chard Guard
@@DJ_Wolfy5 Well an argument can be made for Kiwi beast as you WANT it to take damage and then heal back with Aloe vera to maintain it's stronger form, it has the same strategy as Bean sprout. But yeah, the rest really aren't walls. Torchwood was buffed to be more like a wall but it's really a buffer, Bramble Bush is a trap more than a wall, Explodovine is also more a trap as it has very low health and it's plantfood just makes it explode twice and instantly. and...I don't know what Bamboo Spartan does, but it seems to be more like the offensive version of Blocklee, an offensive plant that happens to have good health. and yes we agree on Holly Barrier, but given it's nature to launch itself. it's kind of used more for it's offensive traits than defensive, even though it's meant to be a defensive plant, but hey...so is the buffed Peanut.
@@MarioMastar Yeah Bamboo is more like pokra, Kiwi beast makes sense, and so does holly barrier. Also I love the name of holly Barrier. (because berries.)
Infinut is the reason why I never had to experience Fisherman Zombie being annoying (tbh, I only realized how annoying he can be when I saw other people complaining about him)
indurian is mactually based on a fruit called durian, like in pvz2, it has a spiky outside, but durian is well known for its stinky smell and garlicy taste, it would be cool if they add the garlic plant effect when eating indurian or gets the garlic plant effect when lvled up
wow, we have the exact same speech impediment, nice to know im not alone (sorry if im wrong about this-) by the way you forgot holly barrier, my beloved :3
Explode-o-nut's recharge is also insane, I'm pretty sure it's like 10 or 15 seconds, making it outclass wall-nut, cherry-bomb and primal wall-nut all at once, utterly insane
There is 1 HUGE problem for exlpodonut: it doesn't get better with levels AT ALL, I MEAN 300 DAMAGE BUFF FOR AN EXPLOSION IS BAD, JUST USE PRIMAL POTATO MINE AT THIS POINT. NO DURABILITY UPGRADES AT ALL
They should've made peanut fire two peas at once. It fits with the design, and the longer recharge would make up for basically being a cheaper repeater.
just to note, guardshoom had two extra abilities, one, it boost some shoom-type plants, example seashoom get added lifespan, and second, it that doubles the effect of plant food to any plant cover by a minishoom, i would ranked two spaces up just for that.

I get moonflower wanting to be next to other shadow plants but you can place an extra two moonflowers to power the nuts smh
4:18 the whitest explanation of a durian-inspired plant
why is it a race issue lmao he just didn't know what durians were
hating for what
i love the argument you have for murkdamia nut is that to get it powered you have to place your sun producer moon flower to the right of the lawn and you said "sun producers don't lie being of the right side of the lawn" now i have leanrned something about sun producers a while back and it helped me a lot and it's that they are the least important plant cast in the game and spamming them all over the field is a great strategy not even just great sometimes id say overpowered so this argument is invalid. Otherwise this video is great Amazing ranking !
Holly barrier and Gumnut: I don't even exist, I'm just a figment of you're imagination
Lol i did that yeah.
@@MarioMastar Not a bad idea, maybe I could rank the manual plants.
Aloe too

4:17 Endurian Is Actually A Fruit That Grow On A Tree Called DurianTree
Durians are actually good (yes I’m Asian)
@thaviruayendra6194 oh ok, that's fun.
@@DJ_Wolfy5 THX
@@Minetendo_Fan YA
And they're just edible spikeweed😂
tomb tangler in grave levels is actually really good
@not_a_shroom7190 yeah it's not too bad, just super niche
It just has a horrible reputation for not doing enough and being the only plant rendered useless if you self sabotage, but if you see anubis zombies, it's probably worth bringing one in, especailly after the buff. Doesn't make it "good" but like Hot potato, it has a niche that makes it at least worth bringing in if you see certain zombies.
@@MarioMastar Yeah that's a good way to put it.
Fun fact: indurian is an actual fruit (durian) it is really rare and can be found on southeast Asia.
Durian king of fruit 👑
Not that rare
@raidforums2416 it only comes in one certain time of the year.
@@almy-nations no it's not
@raidforums2416 why do you think like you know everything
I think a vine tier list would be cool!!! Love you videos

Yeah but it has shot health
Who knew we could get a good UA-camr with a amazing voice. I’m subbing 😄👍
You can’t be putting peanut in B, it’s a wall plant that wants to be on the left, losing out on its defensive capabilities, and a shooter that wants to be on the right, halving the damage it deals and losing out on it
I like peanut, but I respect your opinion and you make a solid argument.
The names he gives to the Jurrasic Wallnut 😂
the idea of endurian actually comes from the real life fruit durian.
@nameisname5566 yeah, alot of the plants are inspired by real plants. Which is cool.
Is that Luncheon Kingdom? That’s it, you’re instantly my subscriber
I just have a question isn’t Gumnut technically a wall plant because it’s ability is to put gum on zombies that also affects other zombies. I’m just wondering if Gumnut is a wall plant because he’s not in the tier list

grave undigger
Yeah it would create plant food bags or smth
Yes
Red Stinger, Celery Stalker, Garlic, Kiwibeast, Holly Barrier, Torchwood, & Explode-o-Vine are also a Wall plants
Aloe, Gumnut, Bramble Bush, & Bamboo Spartan could also be considered walls
This weally was wated faiwly and was vewy educational
Are you making fun of his speech impediment?
Underrated channel
I agree with the tierlist except imo all b tier plants except the guard shroom should be in c tier
Some people are saying guard shroom should be higher.
The voice caught me off guard
D tier wall plants: agreed
B tier wall plants: agreed
A tier wall plants: agreed
S tier wall plants: mostly agree blockoli’s dmg is meh its good with pf tho i would say between a and s
@Mobilenoob-ps8em glad you agree, I was a litte worried about how good I ranked them.
Marcodamian nut can regenerate when he in shadow aura
So basically its infininut wich mixed with durian
Pretty much yeah
@@MarioMastar I feel the same about shadow pea. I wish it was a modern day plant.
I also wish scaredy shroom was dark ages.

why is your voice so adorable
What about Explode O' Vine, Kiwi Beast, Holly Barrier, Bamboo Spartan, Bramble Bush and Torchwood? These plants have high HP or at least near Chard Guard
I would only consider Holly barrier here, the rest are not really wall plants.
