So you pick a cell that is not pink, How do you know how many people have worked it and for how long or does the minfile give all that? It would such to get all pumped up and get a cell only to find out that it has been worked for 110 years. Learning lots and thanks for your help!!
Nice job on the tutorial...I'm a newbie waiting for high water to drop, and have been using the MTO site to scope out my neighborhood. You've definitely made that a little easier, I didn't know how to access the MINFILE info until this video!
Thank you for your videos, lots of great info, any chance you can do an updated video of the MTO? I'm new to this and lost as it looks like things have changed.
Thanks for getting back to me. In your video you were checking the minfile record of a claim and it said there was 17.3 grams of gold per ton. Or there abouts. You said that was pretty good. My question is how many grams per ton does "pretty good" start at? And when does it start to be not worth looking at?
HI, great video; just a couple of questions if you have any time to answer: 1). so after one has found a clear spot on the map to place a claim, what is the next step to acquire it? 2). when does a placer claim become a deep mine claim - could I dig as deep as I wanted on a placer claim or do i need to re-file a different type of claim or re-classify the claim? 3). at what depth or after what amount of excavation does a placer claim automatically become a deeper mine claim, if it does at all? (apologies; i don't know all the terminology). many thanks!
Thankyou soooo much!!! I am new to all this stuff and was struggling earlier today while searching on Vancouver Isle. You cleared alot of stuf up. One question though. When claims overlap, who has the rights to the overlaping area? Thanks a million for your video
This video has been very helpful, thank you. A question though... How come the claims are all staked on a yellow background? Can a person stake a claim in the areas that are white? I can't find anything in the legend that says what the white background is. Is it crown land? Thanks again!
AWESOME freakin' video man! Very informative. I was using that site about a year ago and was able to get a fair amount of info. Too bad there isn't a button to show just claims that are available. Thanks again.
Everything is already claimed up.... people should not be allowed to have more than 10 claims. It COMPLETELY RUINS it for the recreational panner. I see absolutely nowhere on this map to recreational pan.
Thank you! there sure is alot of overlapping claims. I think I even saw an area with 5 overlaping claims. That must get confusing. Also saw one claim that was available but it was totally withing a pink area wich must mean that somebody has all the rights.

Under layers there is an option for recreational. Would that refer to a an area for recreational gold panning or recreational park area?

so how do you make the actual claim online? ... searching the forum now.
Man, it seems like there's nowhere to pan once you look at these maps! UGH
Lots of Greedy people.

All you need to know about MTO ONLINE is it’s confusing as $&@#. Try doing a work done form.
