It is truly astonishing that a 22-year old can have such a great voice, such soulful delivery, such clarity of image & style, & such well-developed songs (albeit retro in style - which of course is now old enough 2 sound fresh!); it is truly tragic that she can't seem to keep her demons in check and appears to be becoming another Janis Joplin self-destruction story...too damn bad!!! This is a REALLY good performance - & just on a hand-held video, too...can imagine what it's like live... Thanx.
Agree, the Dap-Kings created such a good retro sound and atmosphere. Amy recorded the album version of 'Back To Black' with these guys and they accompanied her for gigs on american soil until June '07. Phenomenal musicians

She could sing the same song and it would feel and sound different each time, even when she was under the influence of drugs and alcohol she sometimes had her best sound (not always). She was also a great song writer and guitar player her sound is addictive and i miss it RIP AJW Imagine

I love the fact that she is real, ok she is a little messed up and we cant all agree on how she chooses to live her life but at least you know she is not controlled by some fat music executive sitting behind a desk dictating on how she should look or behave, like a lot of female singers out there are.
