That TS cable to speakon is not used for guitar to active speakers. Speakon is a high voltage connector therefore it is used for passive speakers. That cable is just an alternative connection for speakers say if the amplifier only has jack connectors for the output or vice versa. Active speakers will not have speakon connections unless it is an output to another passive speaker.
I have a Scarlett 2i4 with 1 pair of balanced plug outputs and 2 pairs of unbalanced RCA. My monitors have just a pair of RCA inputs. Which outputs shall I use? Thanks!
+Gabriel Frison , Use the RCA outputs from focusrite scarlett because your monitors only accept unbalanced inputs , regardless you feed them with balanced signal , the signal still will be unbalanced.
What about buzzing noise , are you getting buzzing noise in your stage monitor setup ? If yes make sure you are using balanced cables/connectors to the monitors , get rid of any ground loops etc. Also try phase inverse on your devices.
I have the symbilink wire cut .and the rca wire cut . try to put them together. home made. there is a left has a + and - .just like the right side. but there is a vop pin that also has a + and a - . would like to hook them together with two female rca .
+Will Prat , Yes but the connection would be unbalanced. In order to achieve pure balanced connection the cables and inputs at both ends need to be balanced.
So I have researched the shit out of this and still havent found an answer which means Im probably asking the wrong damn question on google but maybe some of you hifi geniuses can help me out here. I have currently 2 sets of headphones with unbalaced cables with 1/4" jacks. I found an adapter on amazon that supposedly will allow me to plug my unbalanced cables into a male 4 pin xlr so I can then use the higher power output provided the balanced section of my questyle cma400i amp/dac. My question is will this actually work and or is it bad for my equipment in any way? I would much prefer this option to spending a bunch of money on some balanced headphone cables. Any help greatly appreciated. Read more REPLY
isn't balanced stuff almost exclusive only to Live performance? so if i wanted to rework my whole pc desktop to mixer situation and do it to be balanced ... it would be impossible , since it starts by a small unbalanced jack output. Secondly if i choose to go with USB to the mixer, it is still unbalanced, and putting TRS connectors on all my mixer inputs/outputs would be pointless?
speakon is usually used from an output from an amp to speaker then out from speaker to another for daisy chain. It based on cable connector and chassis connector . who suggested it's an output from an instrument ?
AVME Videos he said from guitar to active speaker. but i guess it is a speaker cable. TS contact can be rated to 15 amps. so they are used for amplified signals too. not only line level.
dear friend all cables pass signals as long they do their job in correct manner , cables can appear in any form , u can create or invent one , if it holds it's value in terms of delivery .
AVME Videos signal cables should be shielded, but speaker cable is not shielded. speaker cable should have low resistance. but resistance is not the issue with signal cable.

Thanks I think you have just helped me solve a problem 👍🏾

That was very useful, thanks!
+Gabriel Frison , You are welcome , any questions in future , please do ask on the channel.
+AVME Videos (audiovideome) wat about getting rid of buzzing sound in stage monitors?

just get a adapter and save urself time and effort for something more productive. or else do research on net to create diy wire for ur requirements.
Are TRS cables compatible with TS inputs?
+Will Prat , Yes but the connection would be unbalanced. In order to achieve pure balanced connection the cables and inputs at both ends need to be balanced.
AVME Videos Thank you

You didn't explain where the cold or out-of-phase signal comes from...what generates the cold signal?
