- I filmed this movie in the second and third week of September 2020 while hiking from Nikkaluokta to Abisko via Tarfala, Vistasvagge, Alesjaure, and Abiskojaure. Additional footage was filmed around Abisko, Kärkevagge up to Trollsjön, and along the way to Vadvetjåkka National Park.

Stunning colours! Really beautifully video and photos. So good to see, as I’ve skied those areas. Love those cliffs above Vistavegge. So majestic like ship prows. I really want to do that walk this year. Hoping to be able to ski there in March if Covid allows.
I really enjoyed this video. Hiked in this area in August and would like to do a longer trek later in the season. Hopefully, COVID restrictions are much less of an issue by this time next year and I will be able to get back there!

OMG, AMAZING video, congrats! Will be doing the trek from Nikkaluokta to Abisko during Fjallraven Classic Sweden. In September it seems to be so calm and empty, I'm little afraid about how it'd look like in August. Can't wait to see those landscapes though!
September is nice up there with autumn colors and northern lights if you're lucky. It's definitely less crowded time of the year on the trails. I'm going there week before and week during Fjällräven classic this year but I hope to avoid the crowds by taking different trails.

Quite wonderful! Great pictures and videos. This area is really a dream in autumn. We definitely have to go there. We only know the Arctic Circle from our numerous winter visits.

I started hiking same day as you. I saw you on my bus. I was hiking to vakkotavare...
That's entirely possible that we were on the same bus to Nikkaluokta. I've never hiked the southern part of the trail to Vakkotavare, but I bet it was also really nice in the autumn colors we had this year!

One of my favorite videos. I trekked from Kilpisjärvi to Kvikkjok last year, loved it. Although this isn't far from the Kungsleden it seems it's worthwhile to come back for. Was the route from Tarfala to where you hooked back to the Kungsleden technical or exposed? Is trail marked adequately. Could you provide tracks? Also after Abisko did you walk to all those locations, was it all on foot? Thx so much.

Did you walk tarfala-kaskavagge-vistas? How was it between tarfala and kaskavagge in September? Lot of snow? Hard to navigate?
Wow, that looks like such a great trip. Your video is inspiring me to go this September (if Covid doesn't ruin my plans). But I wanted to know, how many days of food did you carry ? Did you start with two weeks of food in your backpack ? Or manage to pick up some supplies along the way ?
I had food for 10 days because I wasn't sure which way I wanted to go from Vistas, but if you hike along the cabins you can usually buy some food and supplies there. If you check the STF website: www.svenskaturistforeningen.se you can see which cabin has a small shop and possibility to get some supplies.
@@StepanKuklik Ah great ! That's really kind of you to share that information. And wow, 10 days food+ camera equiipment is a LOT to carry! Sacrifices we make to get the shot ! I'm planning to take 70-200 2.8, 16-35 2.8 + tripod + some small primes..... It quickly adds up.

Thank you, Ralph! I was there second and third week of September 2020 (I started hiking from Nikkaluokta on the 6th of September). I filmed mostly with Nikon D850, iPhone 11 Pro and DJI Osmo Pocket.

About a week for the main hike and then I did day trips around Abisko.
what is the exact time when you do this hiking?
I did the main hike second week of September 2020 starting 6.9. 2020 and it took me 1 week. Rest of the video are day trips around Abisko directly after that.
