We needed a creative low-cost way to remove the concrete encasement around a night drop box at an old bank. This $180 electric demolition hammer was worth the chance and it turned out to be a lifesaver. The cost was well worth us not swinging a 16-pound sledgehammer for a full day. This is a DIY solution IMHO as we do not know how long this tool will last, although it is still running just fine after us using it for 4 hours straight.
We are not jackhammer experts and our attachments are starting to look worn. I believe we can take a grinder to them and make them like new, but that may not be true. If we had to buy new attachments, I am unsure if we could easily find them. I am unsure if these are universal jackhammer attachments.
For our use, and maybe your small job, this is an excellent deal! It is nice to find affordable tools that work for the purpose they are intended. To note, you can get a smaller unit for about $50 less than our model. We chose the 3600 watts thinking it would give us the most power possible. BUT, this is a 110-volt tool, so in reality, we can only pull 15 amps at 120-volts equalling 1800 watts. So there might be a bit of a fudge factor on the watts. We see a lot of that in the electric pressure washers on Amazon.
At $180 you are even money just making it through the testing!
I bought pretty much the same tool except under a different name a couple years back for under $150, back then I worked as a carpenter and needed it for one single job. It was probably going to cost more to rent, so I figured I could buy this and even if I threw it in the trash afterward I would still come out ahead. Since then I've used it on numerous jobs breaking up thin slabs, walls, and where it really shines is using a clay spade for trenching. The soil we have here is clay mixed with river rock and it's an invaluable tool. I'm actually probably going to buy another one not because mine broke, but only because my awful ex-wife stole it.
Great for the DIY - I bought this tool during Amazon Prime Days recently for $147 with two extra bits: One wide chisel and one small shovel bit. I used the shovel bit to excavate and terrace a small compacted rocky section of my yard where I could not access with heavier equipment. It worked like a charm. Saved me $$ and time. Now I am thinking of new ways to put it to good use!

I just bought one for myself. Price was excellent.
I ended up buying one of these for next to nothing. I've been impressed. Other than the bolt falling out of the grip (which would be fixed with a little loctite but of course we just tighten it back up and wait for it to fall off again. lol) it's holding up way better than I would have ever expected. I'm a contractor but It's not something that gets used every day but probably a couple hours a week of fairly hard work usually. I have a couple vevor tools for things like this that get used a couple times a week and they're not pretty, ergonomic, or well built but they work quite well really.
I used a similar device to break down a chimney in our house, it worked wonders for the money, i was just as surprised as you were.
mine just arrived, I put 30 weight oil, thats all I have.
I don't used my on concrete i used it to drive wooden pegs and steal pins in ground i make my own bits it works great better than using a hammer when driving pins in grounds fill off stones
Just bought one to address broken fence posts myself after a massive wind storm in Colorado with 100 mph wind gusts. Maybe talk over the hydraulic fluid and show adding it and whatever you’ve done maintenance wise. The brushes as well… agreed its a horrid manual… … good video and hoping it saves me money doing it given rhe $1600 bill a repair guy wamts….

I have the Harbor Freight Bauer version of that tool, and it's a huge time saver.
the instructions talk about grease and also oil. is that interchangable? i noticed that there's grease where you insert the bits so I'm wondering if you're supposed to add grease there also??
is it normal that the air outlet (that round black vent) gets pretty hot?
I have exactly same 1 for 6 years just in blue color. Must be 1 type they make as OEM. It takes engine oil it is heavy like hell but it works and it is reliable
I bought a wire stripper on ebay that's branded Vevor, the tolerances are a little loose but it doesn't take long to adapt. It was made to be either hand cranked or chucked into a drill and did a fantastic job after the learning curve at stripping wire. I mean, CA$80 for it vs CA$200 for a StripMeister.
