    This video would be 100x better (and easier to watch) without the heavy music in the background that fades in & out from louder to quieter. It doesn't need to be flashy, just a good demo video! :)

    For the price of the bulb, you would think the resistor is already built in.
    This is ridiculous.

    • @ML-jk3sz
      @ML-jk3sz 4 роки тому

      The resistor is too large and it gets too hot to be placed that close to the LED heat sink.

    I just installed these turn signal bulbs in my 2018 Toyota TRD 4Runner. The white with the black tracer is the ground on both sides. Yellow is the Driver side turn signal and on the passenger side the light blue.

    I wish companies would integrate the resistors right into the bulbs.

      it wouldn't be difficult to have a piggy back harness that has the resistor built in and just plug and plays.

      It requires 50 to 60 watts of dissipation. Too small to be built in.

      Luyed actually is building non hyperflash bulbs. I have some on my Honda.

      It has been done but deficient, there's barely heat disipation and the bulb just goes out.

    For future reference, the white and black wire is the only ground for both sides. Driver side harness should be tapped on the yellow wire and ground wires. Passenger side harness should be tapped on the light blue and ground wires.
    This information was taken from the 2010 T4R field service manual and checked on 2015 and 2017 models. You can strip wires to read out with a multi meter but I did it for future installers. I would say it's safe to follow this wiring scheme for 2010-2017.
    Lights look great. Installation is super easy. You can save some money by installing bulbs with load resistors in the rear instead of the CANBUS integrated lights. Use those of front where it's a pain to work.

    A relay also work's fine as Well, you dont always need a resister. My 01 F250, 97 F350 ( both 7.3s) and 99 Dodge 3500 (Cummins) all had/have LED signals. Hyperflash was fixed easily.
    My wife's 06 BMW 525i is a different story. I've got to see about reprogramming due to the I drive system.

      This is true, we just find Resistors to be the best all-around fix for our customers with different vehicle platforms. Flashing your vehicles at the Dealership is a good way to have this done as well if you are uncomfortable with tapping into your wiring harness. Thank you for the comment!

      My only problem with a resister is the heat. With BMWs it seems that coding is a better option.

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  5 років тому +2

      @@bryancenterfitt7127 They will be okay with tapping them into the frame, the heat won't be an issue there. But if you don't want to put holes in your frame, Re-Flashing your ECU at the dealership will ultimately be the best bet for you.

    How do the brighter reverse lights affect the rear camera? I’ve seen some issues in the past with certain cars where the LED bulbs become too bright for the fixed aperture lens on most reverse cameras.

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  5 років тому

      We have had few reports of the Reverse Cameras being affected by them, if anything they are a huge help paired with the camera!

    Tried to install mine today but it is hyper flashing. What color wires do I splice for 2016 4runner Trail? For some reason, the resistor causes the brake lights to hyper flash also.

    Resistor is history, now you can use LED Signal flasher relay just swap the oem flasher relay and you're done plus blinking speed is adjustable. However not all car brand support this LED Relay flasher some car signal flasher use its onboard computer and just generate a fake tiktok sound using buzer and thats when you use those resistors

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  4 роки тому +1

      100% spot on! A majority of newer vehicles use the BCM to control the flashers now. So for those vehicles a resistor is still needed. But a lot of older vehicles will use a flasher relay, for those vehicles, you just need an LED flasher relay!

    Ordered the whole package in December got it in second week of Jan , half of the stuff installed rear turn signals driver side already has hyperflash after 2 days and was tried to install fronts but one of restors is bad . I would stay away from there product. Customer service suck no one answers the phone

      You just received a faulty resistor, this is why you have Hyperflash issues. We would be more than happy to replace it with a new set!
