    Your system is spot on, exactly how I do it. However, do yourself a big favour. When applying your pink grip, and obviously you want to flatten the adhesive that has squirted through, with spit on your finger.....Stop putting your finger back in your mouth to reapply more spit to your finger. You will be intaking a bit of adhesive on your tongue EVERY time, and over the years, this is really bad for your digestive tract, believe me!
    I always use a tub of cheap clear hair gel from poundland. Just dip one finger into it to smooth your adhesive. It's about 50p for a tub, and it lasts forever!! It also saves you from getting very sick in later life. Otherwise, your work is bang on! Keep up the good videos 👍

      I been plastering/roughcasting for 27 years. Just starting to use these modern systems and I despise them. Doing a thincoat job at the moment. K tend with a hp12 base coat. The Labour involved is scary and the materials cost a fortune. Money's out the Labour and into the materials. 1 downpour and you are F'd.

    That’s how I do mine 👍 would you use 10mm on mono I know people say you shouldn’t I hand apply so I use them never had problems just wondering if machine applied would ever use them?

    • @Rendervate
      @Rendervate  3 роки тому +1

      yeah mate i use 10mm beads whenever i do a job the chances of it being plumb and level are short haha, so with a 10mm once you have used adhesive its 13/14mml anyway, in some areas i if i used 15 i would be 20mm in places, ive never had a problem with my scratch render projects at 10mm beads either pal and machine its one pass! lovely 😊

  • @steved6472

    I stick the pinky in the spine rather than on the wall I find it saves quite a bit of adhesive tbh and its £3.50 a tube 😂 oh and I love when they use expanding foam to fix windows! A quick slice with th the trowel down frame and slide that wing in (nice) gotta put stops up frame too as everyone spraying frames now rather than replacing and a much easier finish 👊

    • @Rendervate
      @Rendervate  3 роки тому +5

      yeah ive used it before the white bits do my head in and its hard enough to get lads to charge batteries for radio nevermind the grinder hahahah

  • @Ireland-bc2gx
    @Ireland-bc2gx 3 роки тому

    That works but if you want another option get yourself a lath hammer and concrete stub nails and nail the bead,no waiting for the adhesive to dry 👍

    • @Rendervate
      @Rendervate  3 роки тому +11

      ahhh it dosent work on this mate the nails would smash all beads back to the block and would make it not level, the adhesive allows you to make it the level you need and is dry with an hour to go over.
