Predators can sniff it out, but i'll never forget a quote i read once "the best thing you can give your child is confidence" and i think thats true, even tho i came from a single parent household living in a rough place, i know i wasn't vulnerable enough to be groomed because my household was generally happy. I think it could be generalised by saying "the grooming process starts at home" but i am saying this before i've watched it, so i hope i'm not too wrong lol
Hello. Many 'feisty' ppl musk their insecurities with that behaviour. Many older and more experienced ppl with predatory tendencies know that and can 'sniff' it miles away. They make a scan of their target and with little effort know which buttons to push. Many teenagers have their battles with identity, stuff at home and seek aproval in the wrong places so I agree with the first commenter. It is necessary that parents or guardians install confidence in a child.
Sorry, _everyone_ is vulnerable in some way or another. Predators will pounce no matter who, and if one tactic doesn’t work, they use another to get through. Once they have set their sights, it’s hard to break their tangent unless you’re aware. Awareness is the one thing that makes the difference, not vulnerability. Everyone has vulnerabilities, we are not psychopaths, who have a steel wall of non-emotion.

In the case of Marilyn Manson, definitely no smoke without fire. Success, money, access, charm ... I'm sure he was definitely into something unsavoury. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts about Ian Watkins and how he got away with his sickening behavior for as long as he did. And how he managed to talk mothers of babies into his disgusting fantasies. I think he's the most disturbing individual I've ever come across because I can't imagine how someone can believe their abhorrent behaviour is ok.
It’s difficult when victims feel like they cannot come out and allege something like this without ending up in court sued by the criminal, because then they have to prove it happened or else sued for defamation. Many times with grooming it’s YEARS after, because it occurs to people decades after that grooming happened, and they have no proof. They think they “went along with it”. Then the victim has to end up in court to prove that a crime happened and may not be able to prove it decades after. They end up having to not be able to say what happened or even protect themselves from the predator now, because they cannot even say what has happened for fear of legal suits.

I common thread I have found with young people who have been groomed and trafficked is firstly alot of them think they are in love with the perpetrator cant see the abuse was wrong , also that alot of the predators would threaten family members if the victim didn't follow instructions etc. On One occasion they told one girl if she didn't come out right away they would firebomb the house with their younger siblings in x

I've never watched who u speak of, but I did my own deep dive after watching Phoneix Rising..I don't like to share, but I do know victimhood and something didn't sit right after watching it so as I did my research I found put so many things about her..testimony for custody of her son will show her own ex husband says she lives in a fantasy world and he doesn't believe alot of what she says and she lied about fbi papers..her and that Australian chick faked those. Grooming is simply the courtship of an inappropriate target. Taking a person to dinner, buying them gifts, asking them on private dates without their friends nearby, getting parents to feel safe with their dates, kissing and petting...the same goal. We want to assume all sexual activity is somehow grooming, that no woman (women in particular because they're thought of as helpless, sexless beings) would ever willingly participate in sex, unusual sex, threesomes or bondage therefore it MUST be victimizing. But women have sex drives, even hormone-filled female teenagers. We've set the calendar back all the way to Queen Victoria's time...

There is also a lot of speculation backed up by evidence out there to show he may be being framed and wrongly accused.( similarly to Johnny Depp) f you are interested in learning more follow Colonel Kurtz who has looked into this in depth. Many of the accusations have massive holes and inconsistencies. and there is a lot of other evidence that points towards this being a vindictive plan to extract money and to get him cancelled. .

A lecturer who worked in the same department I was studying was near retirement and was very much considered to be the kindly old man. He was friendly with all of the students that he taught and they all loved him. He'd been a teacher in a school beforehand and used to tell us about how friendly he was with the police as he did translation work for them. He seemed to take a kindly interest in my studies, even though I didn't study what he taught. Shortly before he retired there was an incident where another student had seen him at a bar and he had said something inappropriate. Interestingly, all the other students ostracised the student who had made the complaint. How could anyone complain about such a lovely old man? This man took me to one side one day and asked me if I'd heard what had happened. I was very embarrassed and pretended I hadn't. Some time after that, I was waiting at a bus stop and he drove past. He stopped the car and asked me if I wanted a lift. I'd never really understood why people got into cars like that, but the way he spoke made me incredibly embarrassed in front of the other people in the bus queue and so I got in. Needless to say, within a few minutes, his hand was wandering up my leg. I moved away and got out as soon as I could. I never actually saw him again after that as I hadn't known he'd decided to leave the university. Knowing what I know now, it's really concerned me about what he will have done when he was a teacher in a school. It was absolutely classic grooming and he had very clearly done it many times before. Every now and then I look online to see if he has been reported in any historic scandals. I'm sure he must be dead by now but I'm absolutely sure that there will be kids who were groomed by him when they were younger than I was.

Innocent until proven guilty is a criminal standard. Absolutely if we are talking about criminal charges. In terms of employment, I think a lesser standard is acceptable. People can be fired because their boss doesn't like their shoes or because their boss just feels like it.
Personally I’m going to say mr. Manson is innocent until proven guilty but the dude is a bit strange. I still think Johnny Depp is innocent, the court proved him guilty but I believe his daughter and his legend.
