I just pulled this off. Bought an expired domain and created some content and got it up to 10k visits per month. Found an abandoned blog with about 10k a month and reached out to purchase. Redirected the expired domain to the newly acquired website and now getting 35k a month. I've done this before, but this has been my biggest success.
how much did you pay for the domain? And how did you find the abandoned blog? Would appreciate some details

Awesome topic, Matt. This is *exactly* what I was looking for, but was still a bit confused since I haven't done a 301 from an existing domain yet. I'll follow your advice to the letter. I have one question though. What if the existing domain, that's relevant to your new domain, has been slapped by Google in the 2020 december update, and we still don't know the reason because it doesn't seem to have any shady links? Does the slap get passed onto the new site, or just the link juice?
As per my experience penalty will also pass on new domain.
Don’t use that domain.
I've done redirects using domain-level redirect and then bulk-uploading specific page-by-page redirects using Rank Math SEO plugin. It kind of leads to the same outcome, apart from hiding the fact that ownership has changed. Lett me know if it is a faulty approach.

Hi @MattDiggity, for each domain you 301 redirect, do you utilize individual Cloudflare accounts or consolidate multiple domains under one account?
I can't tell you what Matt is doing, but, I see no reason to use separate accounts for SEO reasons. Cloudflare doesn't help anyone find out who controls which websites.

@@MattDiggity I was referring to the fact that maybe the number of backlinks offered by the purchased aged domain is related to the number of articles on the purchase page. The more backlinks you have on the aged domain, the more articles you can put on the aqusition page. I have 320 (250 follow) backlinks on the aged domain and I want to put about 60 articles on the acquisition page. I do not know if it's good.

How many 301 redirects are generally safe to a domain, By using acquisition page method?
I'd stick to 2-3 tops.
What about really old expired domains. I found some on odys that are super old but they expired back in 2016. Does google negate their value somehow after a period of time?
Cheers Edmund. The longer the period a website has been down, the more difficult it might be to get traction. This is one of the main reason why we keep all domains listed for sale via Odys up and running + indexed in search engines. They are ready to plug in and go, especially for 301 redirects as described in Matt's video👌

I redirected 2 domains with links from world health organisation, medscape, webmd and Rxlist but nothing happens in terms of boosting SEO and rankingz
You've either acquired bad domains or redirected using an obsolete strategy that confused search engines instead of helping.
I think with Cloudflare, you are limited to 3 free page rules. You'll need to pay if you need to do more than three redirects.
No, with cloudflare bulk redirects you can do unlimited redirects.
