I've ranked a website in less than 3 months. Not lying. URL is old but no progress in SEO because they haven't done anything in onpage and offpage. When I take full charge of the whole site, I change the structuring on the onpage and offpage. Made it a full responsive, optimize the website loading speed, proper content optimization and meta tagging..etc.. Then do the things I dont want to tell here. And no its not blackhat seo. Been working with SEO since 2010.

I'm particularily interested in Google attributing links from the original domain to the redirect, even with them knowing that this is going to be exploited iniquitiously by massively acquiring unrelated domains for this, don't you think? I hope you're gonna expand on that.

I love your videos, but here is a little twist that I found curious. I was researching expired domains, because of this video. The top entry for my search was an article about expired domains, but I found it odd that the domain name was a UK domain related to indian cuisine! Yes the article was about expired domains, but the header, title and domain of the site were about indian cuisine and the sidebar was full of adverts for indian cooking books. Here was this one little article on an unrelated issue and it manages to get ranked number one for an SEO search term. Not a perfect science :-)
That was some serious black hat haha... But truth be told, I'd never admit this to a client or even my bosses at the agency I work at, black hat can work in some cases if done very carefully.
Another awesome video! Question about Topical Authority. Let's say there are 10 interrelated items that you could write as 10 separate well optimized articles and interlink them and direct them to your money page. Or you could take those same 10 items and put them in 1 mega post - wouldn't you build more authority with the 10 separate posts? Thanks!

I have a website with organic 19k backlinks, if I put a 301 redirect to another website even if they have different niches, this will be a black hat technique?

Without watching the video first and off experience. 7 to 12 months. A new site might not start taking off until 12 to 18 months really… Edit: BTW, I did end up watching the video. But I put my experience out there first and it ended up matching up with Matt’s findings.. Looks like it did.🙂 New sites time to gain Google’s trust.

I experimented and ranked a website in 7 days with 5 contents containing 38000 words. Why didn't sandbox stopped me. I'm confused.

You need to understand search intent. If Google doesn't expect to see a mega article for a query, you wont rank.
