It's not necessarily a different skill-set. When it comes to singing, it always revolves about breath control, mouth closure/shape, vowel manipulation, pitch (yes, it matters for screams, too). If you wanna be at the top of your game, you gotta have decent knowledge about the basics.. This is why Opera singers can truly sing anything, they have mastered those crucial elements.

Don't know if anyone answered this yet, but Alissa Ghite-Gluz is another phenomenal vocalist who can do a huge variety of different vocals, Nergal also has a huge set of what he can perform! Plenty of great vocalists out there in the metal scene, I personally love the variety :)

Singing and screaming go hand in hand. If you pull back a scream far enough, you can find that it's, in fact, rooted in a note. Considering this, I'm not surprised at how multi talented he is
Yeah, I mean all good screaming comes from good technique. They way Will warms up/takes care of his voice and the control and variability he has with harsh vocals it shouldn’t surprise anyone to learn that he’s got an amazing range and tone with clean vocals as well.

I'm a huge fan of Will Ramos / Lorna Shore as well and I can't wait to see them live soon, but metal genres have so many good vocalists honestly. I'm usually more on the metalcore side, rather than deathcore, but dude. Noah Sebastian, Caleb Shomo, Sam Carter, Briton Bond and the list goes on and on. I love metal for this.
Maybe I need to listen to a bit more of both bands. I've never been into the more extreme end of metal (it took me years to get into it, full stop and it was through a guy I was going out with in college that I first started listening to stuff I thought I hated before then) and maybe it's because I can't really understand it, not through ignorance per se, more a view of why would someone want to do that to their throat and vocal cords? But I do find that my tastes expand every few years. Thanks for this reaction Alex, I don't think it's a song I had heard before now. I love Will's clean vocal lines because there's such a depth of emotion to them and they sort of hit me in my solar plexus. I had to turn the volume down a bit when he started ripping it though because it's nearly 1am here and my other half is asleep upstairs. Oops!

Yeah, it's better if you stick to his covers on his youtube channel cuz Lorna Shore is definitely only screaming 😂 but honestly the band is absolutely insane, Will isn't the only beast in there (they're all insane at what they do) so if you can set aside the screaming definitely check this out!
I'm in that same lane. For the heavy growl/scream vocal style to really work for me it needs to be a combination of the singer really enunciating/articulating well and the production not burying or muddying the vocals under the instrumentation. So most death/black metal bands don't resonate with me. Randy Blythe (Lamb of God) and Johan Hegg (Amon Amarth) are two I pretty much enjoy.
Don't forget about Howard Jones when talking about big, powerful cleans in the genre. That man is pretty GOATED in my opinion, would also love to hear him cover sleep token
