Don't get me wrong they're very heavy, but LS's heaviness is just much more hellish and intimidating, it isn't just a bunch of riffs stuck together, they provide a lot of contrast which makes the heavy moments much more powerful

My journey to metal was very similar. Had to work myself up to extreme metal bands but now that's all I like listening to.
It’s also so much more listenable in comparison to other deathcore because the lyrics aren’t just going for shock value. There’s poetry in there.

@@snazzyjovialwyrm3314 I so agree! I think the drums got lost, the rhythm guitar was to quiet and the high screams were a bit washed out and to quiet! Hopefully their mixing improves on the next tracks but to have a track with that kind of mix and still be insane is pretty damn impressive in my opinion! So much respect to Lorna Shore✌️✌️✌️
While I'd agree that Will's vocals are absolutely terrifying, Ben Duerr of Shadow of Intent, and Kyle Anderson of Brand of Sacrifice, are both vocalists I'd put on his level. I may even put Alex Terrible up there, but while Alex's Lows are beyond description, his highs need a little more work before he could be considered one of the best.
The breakdown at the end is freaking brutal

The instrumental, though, outshines the vocals. Lorna Shore is one of the few bands that always had music that outshines vocals.

This song makes me feel like I have travelled somewhere to some realm. My brain and mind are as yet to recover. Shout out to #WillRamos for being a badass and the MVP on this! I was worried about the Lorna Shore sound after CJ left, but I am okay now!
The volume of the vocals was my only complaint too. I love the new vocalist's usage of more highs. CJ was a great vocalist but his niche was def guttural lows so I missed the highs 😆
Blackened Deathcore without highs is a sin.
While Lorna Shore is probably classified as a deathcore band, they have one (and a half) foot firmly planted in black metal territory...and Alex, my boy, you're long overdue for some black metal.
