Another quality video with exceptional production and detail. Look forward to part 2. Gotta also add that your workshop is the most organised and tidiest I've ever seen.
There are few bikes today that match the elegance ,style of the bikes of our forefathers, hand built with pride. Thanks for showing their beauty through your skill.
I used to restore bicycles now and again a few years ago. I bought a classic racer with the same gearing as this one and knew nothing about the toggle chain derailleur gears so sold it. It was a 1959 carlton race bike. Looking forward to the next installment. I might learn about this type of gearing. I had been building and repairing my own bicicles since the 1970's. Not now though.
I'm fine, thank you! I'm working on it but i got a normal life with a job, a girlfriend and a lot of other more or less important things to do.. So stay tuned 😇
I'm very impressed with your thoroughness but in contrast it looked like a pretty clumsy removal of the seat post. I just finished rebuilding a Norwegian bike from 1944. It had been out in the weather near the ocean for many years. I'll tell you, removing screws and nuts was a whole other story than you show here.
With such a workshop, am somewhat surprised you didn't extract he cotter pins with a pin press. I wonder whether you have an original lining tool to refinish the lining on the frame?? Very therapeutic to watch ; thank you. 🙏
Thanks for your comment! Only the frame and the fork will be left after the rebuilt. The drivetrain was from fichtel & sachs and is already sold, regret that already. The chain was in standard 1/2" x 1/8" size. Sorry english is not my first language. Greetings
One of the components is marked Made in Germany. So I'm guessing this bike was made before 1949 when West and East Germany were created? Fantastic channel btw.
Great stuff! Looking forward to part II. :)
Thank you 😊
bicycle restoration 🇵🇷👍
Your work is so relaxing to watch! Please post the next part :) Greetings from New Jersey
I'll do my best beside normal life to get it soon done ☝️

Wow, so many moving parts, must be tough keeping track of everything for the rebuild. What kind of drivetrain is this??
Thanks for your comment! Only the frame and the fork will be left after the rebuilt. The drivetrain was from fichtel & sachs and is already sold, regret that already. The chain was in standard 1/2" x 1/8" size. Sorry english is not my first language. Greetings
Lovely machine, is this going to be an "as new" restoration? Looking forward to part two.

The "made in Germany" label was used until 1973.
