It's so weird, right? I can only imagine that they're either trying to trick people, or they've just got a bunch of mini SFC shells that they need to get rid of. The buttons are even labeled A B C and X, but the shoulder buttons are labeled L and R, and there's still a select button. I didn't want to deal with that, so I bought a cheap regular Genesis controller instead. I wanted the Genesis games, though, so I really didn't mind that much. Only thing is, it uses a 3.5mm to RCA video/mono audio out, and the picture is really fuzzy/blurry...
Another Famiclone with the reversed duty cycle problem of the square wave sound channels... You can tell by Mario‘s jumping. When it sounds like PC Speaker, the duty cycles are reversed. It must sound more like a sawtooth wave.

Yeah no channel can upload Nintendo first party games. If the bot hears the music it's an auto flag and nintendo takes all of the money earned. For sure Yakuza, lol.
Sorry, have to nitpick again. :) You often refer to "emulation" on Famiclones, when technically it's not emulation: it's a single chip designed to mimic the Famicom hardware as closely as possible. Some hardware you've tested DOES use emulation, like the handhelds that do other consoles, but all of these things that only play Famicom are not technically emulation - although they do have graphical and audio problems due to the hardware not being quite the same. It's great that you're testing them all, though! ;)
Yep that is some weird English in print as well as some flat out lies. 9-pin is about as "off the shelf" as you can get , most ports just pretend not to be that with a different shape heh. Heard and seen worse but it's a bit off especially in color output. Interesting ROM selection though, China is finally getting past the black label titles. My favorite game is "3", totally not SMB3.
While this clone only turns out to be an 8bit machine, however caveman ninja really looks like a 16bit game hence the paralax scrolling in that game. There are many nes games with paralax scrolling such as battle toads, metal storm, ninja gaiden 3 ,boku ohare etc,,, If i could port and make homebrew games for the 8bit with paralax scrolling in it and only use pcm sound,i can fool many peoples into thinking that these games are 16bit running on a 16bit console but in reality it’s running on a 8bit machine stiffed in a snes classic mini case. And if i could come with a snes stylish controller for it were those extra buttons do combine A & B ,select & B,select & A together for games that take advantage of it,to make people believe that those games supports more buttons but in reality they not supporting more then 8 buttons. Thisway gamers don’t have to use button combinations.
Theres no way any NES game comes close to 16 bit console ones. The NES colour palette looks horrible compared to the 8 bit master system or pc-engine never mind any 16 bit system. The main reason I never got into the NES is due to the ghastly muddy drab graphics, it looks like crap compared to pretty much any other console available at the time.
Not bad, China. ot bad at all. I predicted it would be nes games and not have 1080p and not have Castlevania games. Still the emulation seems alright and several nes games look really good. I also cannot really tell how good the emulation is. I was also never a fan of the NES, but the NES does have many good games, so a nes will be acquired in the future, I'd like a HDMI modifed Famicom. Nice review. If I may ask what is your favorite 8bit system or which 8bit console did you grow up with? For me it was Master System. Better console, just alot less games and few really standout games unlike the NES which has many excellent titles.
I was a big fan of the Master System. I still have one now but I'd say my favourite 8bit machine is the PC Engine. Some argue that it's 16bit but it is 8bit due to the CPU being 8bit.
Not bad. The sound is off but only to someone used to original hardware. Worth it if you dont have anything and want to get back into retro or are new and dont like paying retail or higher for 30 year old carts. Sucks you had to remove karaoke that was great almost like being there.
Yeah, sadly the Karaoke video git slammed with 12 copyright hits from EMI Japan and JASCA, the Japanese artists copyright protection group. I guess my poor rendition of A-ha's take on me was so good :p
I thought they would have made proper NES and SNES Classic knock-offs/clones by now, especially considering the demand for them, but instead, they keep putting out the same garbage Famiclones over and over again. Oh well...
This device wins for no other reason than because they put Yoshi's Cookie on it. No one ever thinks of Yoshi's Cookie and that game was my jam! In all honesty, it doesn't surprise me at all Nintendo copyright claimed your video. We are talking about the same company that sued over video game rentals. The fact that you're technically promoting a chinese bootleg probably didn't do you any favors to them either
"can you believe NINTENDO had filed a copyright claim"? Well, yeah this has been going on for almost half a decade now. I'm surprised content creators haven't gotten the clue yet.
They ripped off the coolbaby GUI. That's not saying much as they all seem to steal from each other along with ROMs.I hope a real super new knock off gets made one day though!
LOL... Nintendo claimed a copyright claim on this video, yet they have no control on the Mario copyright being infringed when these Chinese knock-off consoles flood the markets. Kinda fucked up on Nintendo's part, because this video helps Nintendo in the long run, by allowing them to locate and prevent these shitty consoles reaching anyone (like they did on Ali-Express with the NES Mini Classic for a brief moment of time - the one with the proper controller port - Nintendo hated those).
Cost is the main reason. They have been making "One chip NES" famiclones for two decades. They are super cheap, tiny, low power chips in an epoxy glob. SNES is too complex for a cheap "SNES on a chip glob top" knockoff. The quad core ARM processor emulation is the only way to go. Honestly the Allwinner R16 SOC, that the actual NES and SNES mini consoles use, can barely pull off SNES emulation. From videos I've seen of the SNES mini, the screen scrolling is not smooth at all. It looks horribly glitchy and jumpy on Yoshi's Island and Donkey Kong Country. I wouldn't be able to play games like that. Also, SNES games take way more room. they can put hundreds of NES games on a cheap 32MB flash chip. DK Country for SNES is over 166 times larger than Donkey Kong NES. The flash memory TSOP on the famiclones probably costs a lot more than the One Chip NES Glob.
Nintendo have filed a copyright claim, is that the reason why the video is buffering at very low speed ? I mean I can watch every other video on your chanel with no issues whatsoever, but for a some reason this one is slow as fuck ?
i can't agree more with you, it might be auto-generated via some stupid aglorithms, anyway, since ive got the opportunity here let me just say that I really do love your videos, you put out great content , you seems to be putting the actual time and effort on doing something you love and it really shows. I also love your sense of humor, you make me laugh so hard at times, your English is also pretty on point, I like japanese culture thanks to you kind sir. Keep 'em coming.
Well thanks for watching! I do enjoy making the videos but I'd be lying if I said I enjoyed making them all of the time. I'm really busy with work so sometimes I do become tired when editing the videos. Still, overall I do enjoy what I do :)
LOL that sounds right to you? Seriously? The sound emulation is all kinds of wrong. You really should invest in an everdrive so you can do side by side comparisons to the real hardware. These games on real hardware sound completely different than they do here.

As long as they enjoy it that's all that matters.

It's great that you're testing them all, though! ;)
Yes, I know they are not emulation. NES on a Chip has been around for 15 or more years now. It's just a force of habit though when I say emulation.
My little cousin has that "snes mini"
You know what i mean with the " "
I do indeed :)
Retro Core thank you ;)
There's also another version of this that plays Mega Drive games instead of Famicom. I don't know why they can't just make one that plays SNES.
yeah, I've seen that one too. I guess SNES emulation on these things is too expensive for the clone manufactures.
Hehe, "3" is a pure classic. I can't wait for "4".
While this clone only turns out to be an 8bit machine, however caveman ninja really looks like a 16bit game hence the paralax scrolling in that game.
There are many nes games with paralax scrolling such as battle toads, metal storm, ninja gaiden 3 ,boku ohare etc,,,
If i could port and make homebrew games for the 8bit with paralax scrolling in it and only use pcm sound,i can fool many peoples into thinking that these games are 16bit running on a 16bit console but in reality it’s running on a 8bit machine stiffed in a snes classic mini case.
The point about Master System colour VS NES colour is very true. The Master System has lovely colour for an 8 bit system.
AAwww, I was really looking forward for some 16-bit chinese knock off glory
I have this same thing, just under a different name!!!
There seems to be a few box variations.
Close one I saw this on Ebay 27 pound so found you next, didn't pick up on 8 bit you saved me thanks
No worries, Yorkshire Pud. Man, I love Yorkshire pud. Whish we had it in Japan.
Retro Core that's a shame you did fine and it was fun.
I thought they would have made proper NES and SNES Classic knock-offs/clones by now, especially considering the demand for them, but instead, they keep putting out the same garbage Famiclones over and over again. Oh well...
That's China for you. Output the same shit in a new bag.
Yeah.... I did video about it to, Come on these china people make it so funny.. Snes Console with 8-bit games... SO wrong :P Fun video Retro Core !!
One day they'll give us a real SNES mini. Or then again, maybe not.
Lol...."Yoshi's Hash Cookie"??
Maybe Nintendo cares more about the lost profits from the SNES Classics this thing rips off than the Mario footage.
The sonic game looks better than sonic boom😂
I've never played that bug I've read it's bad.
Is Famiclone the only thing these people can make? Seriously like 90% of these cheap consoles are a new plastic case for the same shoddy rom sets.
They lack motivation to make anything else. It's really sad to be honest.
Legally fair use doesnt exist in Japan. so to them, they re being generous
I think you're right. I've never seen the term fair use used in this country at all.
Sound is off even on Mario Bros. 1 nothing beats original hardware
Thank god I didn't buy it without looking for a review
Yep, this is the channel for you Chinese knock off reviews. I don't sugar coat stuff at all.
Did you ever managed to find a similar product that plays snes games like a regular SNES mini? Besides those Raspberry pie case mods.
I'm afraid not. There are many that promises to be snes mini clones but they're just regular NES.
I did find one that had a Mega Drive inside 😂
The Games are Emulated not half bad but the Famicom is at the LIMITS of the Performance that the Chinese can Emulate.
They do make a pretty good Mega Drive clone.
colours look off
Also, Contra Force is lagging badly!
...oh, wait...
I'd happily promote bootlegs over the over priced fake stock shortage consoles they sell.
"can you believe NINTENDO had filed a copyright claim"?
Well, yeah this has been going on for almost half a decade now. I'm surprised content creators haven't gotten the clue yet.
Well, I'm it going to feature Mario again and less of any Nintendo IP if it's going to get my videos copyright striked and void of monetisation.
They ripped off the coolbaby GUI. That's not saying much as they all seem to steal from each other along with ROMs.I hope a real super new knock off gets made one day though!
Yep, they all ripoff each other with pride it would seem.
I really believed wich this console emulated SNES/SFC games.
I'm so ingenuos. Lol.
If only I'd did. That would have been great.
'Unprofessionalism' aside, the console still has its duty cycles mixed up.
THANKS, CHINA! 8D
fuck I bought the knockoffs
I wish those Aliexpress NES clones with the proper control port were still around. I can't seem to find them any more.
Why cant these Chinese makers do SNES? They can do NES and Sega all day long but SNES seems to be forever missing.
Who knows. All I know is it's terrible to have a video copyright claimed for showing 30 seconds of a video game that was released over 30 years ago.
i can't agree more with you, it might be auto-generated via some stupid aglorithms, anyway, since ive got the opportunity here let me just say that I really do love your videos, you put out great content , you seems to be putting the actual time and effort on doing something you love and it really shows.
Might be neat to buy one of these, rip the guts out and put a RaspberryPi inside.
That's a great idea. The case is pretty solid.
LOL that sounds right to you? Seriously? The sound emulation is all kinds of wrong. You really should invest in an everdrive so you can do side by side comparisons to the real hardware. These games on real hardware sound completely different than they do here.
I haven't got a clue what a real NES / FC should sound like. I've never owned one. That's why I ask you guys if it's okay.
