I think I want to cry with relief right now. i went through a full battery of tests for a year; cardio, pulmonary, urinary, the whole deal, CAT scan, I even had an MRI - and they couldn't find what was causing this pain. Recently I changed my dietary habits (low carb/keto/intermittent fasting) and the issue has mostly abated in less than 2 months. Now I see this video and it all comes together. THIS is the explanation that they could not find. I thank you with my entire heart, Dr. Berg!

Did the pain come every time you ate? I had that. Once I started exercising and eating less it went away. Blood pressure also went down from mid to high 140's to low 120's/high 110's.

    Great drawing by Dr Berg!!
The best way to improve this situation is to increase your bile. There are several ways to increase your bile:
    1. Lower your carbs
    2. Fast
    3. Lower your grains
    4. Cut out vegetable oils
    5. Cut out nut butters
    6. Cut out alcohol
    7. Stay away from corn
    8. Take purified bile salts on an empty stomach (AM and PM)

THANK YOU! i have suffered from extreme chest pain for over 2 months - doctors said its muscle damage. I have had digestive issues for years now just to be told its all in my head. I have finally done food sensitivity test, dropped everything gluten, diary, nuts etc and massaged plus done streches for costochondrisis. My chest pain has reduced by 50% within 2-3days. Then i was able to pinpoint where the acute pain is coming from gallbladder, pancreas and spleen, and potentially liver. Went to doctor, he pressed on all of the organs that i was crying myself to sleep for whole day. After yhe useless appointment i then watched this video, started to implement the rest together with taking probiotics, a lot fruits, freshly squeezed juices, intermedient fasting (as it was very painful when eating). 2 weeks later i am sooo much better! In fact, i struggled to gain weight for years, my fiance was forckng me to eat but i was too full. With the bloating gone, i not only finish whats on my plate, but im still hungry. My bile salts are on the way.

I found it helps with my constipation and I have pain left side. I started dandelion tea with ginger. I’m still in pain but the constipation has got so much better. I’ve also added many vitamins including probiotics. I really have raised eating Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, vitamin b, magnesium, collagen, fish oil, digestive enzymes. My pain still there but less frequent and I put it down to now cause I’m going to toilet more. My next step is definitely having a soup diet for a month to see if that assists. I’ve also heard that beet root vitamin helps alot also. Unsure yet to try

I have went to the ER twice with this symptom of left sided pain, directly under my rib cage and they ran ultrasounds and scans but found nothing wrong with me. Blood test for lipase were normal. I was in so much pain the last time they gave me pain meds. My Uncle and Grandmother both died of pancreatic cancer. This information scares me because they both had similar symptoms to mine prior to their diagnosis. I have been keto for almost 3 years now. I do not take bile salts, so I will be looking into that to see if it helps with this condition. Thank you for posting such great content Dr. Berg. I truly appreciate you.

Gastritis refers to inflammation of the lining of your stomach, which is also near the left side of your rib cage. Other symptoms of gastritis include a burning pain in your stomach and an uncomfortable sense of fullness in your upper abdomen. Gastritis can be caused by: bacterial or viral infections.

Update fellow fighters - Dr treated me for Ulcers, was on two antibiotics. Most of the pain subsided but still had occasional flareups- Did a stool test to check for IBS, results came, not Inflammatory Bowl Disease, but irritable Bowl syndrome. I went on a low FODMAP diet, cut out caffeine, alcohol, lactose and gluten and processed food. I have never felt better in my life. I am now on treatment for PCOS and I tell you, slowly shedding pounds, feeling energized, and healthy. I occasionally cheat and immediately feel discomfort. I hope this is helpful to anyone. Help is out there, hang in there, it is glorious on the other side of the pain.

This is why I ultimately became an herbalist. When I had this pain and went to several doctors about it, all of them just wanted to give me pain pills. I wanted to know WHY I had the pain. On my own, I cleaned up my diet and ate less GMOs and then the pain was gone. I started doing my own research - which led to me eventually taking courses on herbalism. I can't imagine where I would be now if I had just taken the pain meds the doctors wanted me to take.

How to pass a painful gall stone/sludge. Several times per day, take 2 -3 Tablespoons of olive oil followed with the juice of a lemon (straight). Spend time laying on the left side to allow the gall duct to drain. Its painful to pass but when it moves WOW what a good feeling!
Ive personally used this remedy successfully. I used the 2TBS doses simply because I couldn't get the 3rd TBS down. Olive oil overspreads your throat and feels like it's running up your nose. So I did 2 Tablespoons. Gallstones cause right side pain at lower ribcage.

It would just suddenly hit me with a tremendous sharp pain below the rib cage. I would just be in shock giving it a minute to go away. I also have been taking Cyruta, Vitamin E, D, Spanish radish, Cataplex G from SP daily too. I've gone from 320 pounds to now 240 without exercise just eating one big meal a day the last 6 months. I feel my body healing from the inside out.

I had an IUD inserted called Lilletta that uses levonorgestrel to prevent pregnancy. A few months later I had severe pain which led me to the hospital. At the hospital they said I needed to have my gallbladder removed because I had a gallstone stuck in my bile duct and they didn’t want my gallbladder to continue creating gallstones. So they removed my gallbladder and did an endoscopy to remove my gallstone. After my endoscopy I got pancreatitis. They treated it and I went home. Since then I haven’t been the same. I occasionally get dull pain on the left side of my stomach, I experience stomach cramps after eating and I have frequent diarrhea. Cutting back on dairy has helped, but I still have stomach pain. The area throbs after eating heavy meals. After a year or two after my procedure I went to my doctor and asked her if she can do test to check my left side of my stomach, they did a cat scan, ultrasound and blood work for my pancreas. Everything came back okay. Two years later and the pain is still here. My question is, is the lack of bile from my gallbladder removal affecting my pancreas?

Went to the emergency room at least twice back then (80's); best they could do was give me muscle relaxer and send me home to be in misery until I vomited, then take 1-2 weeks recovering. I love your videos and often find answers! I had X-rays a few days ago after seeing my NP for severe left pain under my ribs! I had been blowing it off as the Costochronditis I have suffered with for the last two years but “no” that wasn’t it! The NP said my spleen felt hard and enlarged! She was concerned because after prodding there I had intense pain for hours! I had X-rays that day and hope to call tomorrow to see what the next step is! I have no gallbladder anymore so that is not involved! Miserable and extremely fatigued. I can’t eat much without nausea and/or vomiting food up! I let this go too long I fear! But with Fibromyalgia, and an Afib problem and trouble with costochronditis I hate to sound like a hypochondriac so I often hesitate! I will come back to comment when I know more but it’s not gallbladder... maybe because of a lack of one? It’s painful and I can’t rest!

I asked my doctor and she didn't give me any information. But this is exactly why my estrogen has gone up so much now since being pregnant it's affecting my body in many ways. Last liver flush I felt this along with nausea and soon after I passed gallstones along with some other things. I am no longer having any signs of fatty liver. My liver enzymes are in normal range and have been for 2 years. I've taken the bile salts too
