In US news and current events today, President Donald Trump has said he will send federal agents and federal troops in Chicago to crack down on Chicago violence and Chicago violent crime, despite Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, Trump adversary, denouncing the move. As seen in the Portland protest, where Trump stormtroopers have been gassing and detaining citizens exercising their right to protest, this move could be seen as a slide into tyranny and fascism by President Donald J. Trump as he struggles in the polls. While Chicago violence has increased, it's doubtful that federal agents and federal police will be able to stop the violence rather than increase it, as they target peaceful protesters and escalate the situation.

What gets to me, is how people that live north of the crime ridden areas can sleep at night knowing what’s going on no more that a mile or two away from them. The sound of sirens is deafening.
